One more week

We are so excited and we've been busy vacation shopping

We have been to WDW several times in late Feb/early March. Everytime we freeze! So this year we were prepared! Caitlin bought a bunch of darling Disney sweatshirts from Forever 21 and I got a new jacket etc. Well guess what? The predictions for our trip are 76-86! So we're now having to do some shopping for warm weather clothes. Believe me I'm not complaining. The temps sound great and I do shopping but it's just ironic. You just can't predict the weather

This morning I did online checkin for the Pop Century portion of our visit (since we have a building request for POR I'm not doing online checkin for there since with online no one sees your request) Something about doing the check-in makes it all seem more real and very close

However, the accuweather 2 week forecast is not looking pretty. Starting my prayers now for a shift in the rain clouds.

These weather forecasts are driving me crazy! They seem to change daily and it's like huge 20 jumps back and forth! I think we're just going to pack for every kind of weather and hope for the best. But rain or shine at least we're at Disney!

Three days ago it was a rainout. Yesterday it was 80 and sunny every day and now its back to rain almost every day. I am coming down with a 20 month old so I am not sure how happy she will be in 3 days of rain.

Knock on wood...but from our experience when it does rain it only rains for short periods of time. It's not like here in Michigan where it will rain ALL day. We'll keep our fingers crossed!

I have to say that I was hoping you would move your October trip in the OTHER direction. Oh well!

We are super excited but Caitlin's also a bit stressed out. She has midterms Monday and Wednesday (and a couple papers due) so she's trying hard to concentrate on school and not get into "vacation mode".

I wish it would have worked out so our trips would have overlapped! We changed it so Caitlin could do the Tower of Terror 10 mile race. She is super excited about it Hopefully 2013 will be the year we get to meet

I think you've got the right idea Dawn, pack for any weather situation and you'll do just fine! When I think of 2010 when we went in Jan and just about froze to this year. The weather would have been amazing....one never knows!

Caitlin, good luck on your papers and exams! I know you're gonna knock them outta the park

We usually try to get by with just carry on luggage (I admit I'm cheap and hate spending $50 to take a checked bag ) but this time our 2 carryons and the checked bag are totally stuffed! We're prepared for anything

Denny and I are tentatively planning a fall 2013 trip. We are going to combine it with a 4 day cruise! So this time we will have to seriously try to overlap. We are flexible with dates. The only thing I would like to work around is the parent's weekend at whatever school Nick ends up attending school. They are usually in the beginning of October.

Hopefully our dates will overlap! Our dates will depend. as usual, on Caitlin's school schedule. Fall 2013 she'll be starting grad school

Hi All! Hope you're all enjoying your Saturday! We are down to 5 days until we go We are super excited and just a wee bit stressed. Caitlin is busy preparing for midterms and got one of her papers done today I am stressing because we haven't gotten our ME docs I know it's not a huge deal but I HATE waiting in lines so I love having those ME docs in hand so we can forgoe the line and head straight to the red carpet. Since there is no mail Monday (President's Day) we only have 2 more mail deliveries before we go. We're keeping our fingers crossed!

We are now up to the plans for our departure day. Sad, huh? However, we will get extra park time that day because it will be Leap Year Day or as Disney is calling it "One More Disney Day". The MK will open at 6am so my plan is to be at the airline checkin at 5am and check our bags and head off to the MK. We are really excited to see what they have in store for that day. I read there may be special characters/entertainment and there will be some special merchandize for sale. I know my pin trading crazed daughter will be looking for a commerative pin to purchase

We'll spend the morning catching anything we missed earlier in the week or anything we have to do once more before we go (like the Haunted Mansion and IASW)

We will be having our last breakfast at the very lovely Crystal Palace with that silly ol' bear and his friends. I can't wait for more of that yummy puffed french toast!

After breakfast more park fun. Before we head out we'll grab lunch at Cloumbia Harbor House or Casey's.

We'll have to leave the park around between 12:30 and 1pm to make it back for the ME. Our flight leaves at 4:30 and we'll be back in Detroit around 7pm.

ME is switching over to where all the documents are supposed to arrive together and our somehow got left out When I called to inquire they told me they'd mail some but they've never come. I'm hoping they do Tues or Wed.

Most of the Michigan universities have the end of Feb or first week of March off for Spring Break. The school year then ends in mid-April unless a student opts to take "summer classes".

Departure Day plans are always a little sad aren't they? Jeff finished his exams last week and this coming week is our spring break but it's called reading week at the universities....or as Jeff calls it essay writing week

We have a vacation day tomorrow too in our province! Nothing like a long weekend in February!

Sounds like a great last day you have planned! I am also feeling the stress of midterms! Eastern is a great school, but it's crazy how much work I have sometimes! I still have one more semester until I can get into my actual major work, which I haven't decided yet I thought for the longest time I wanted to be a nurse, but I definitely do not want to do that anymore! I'm thinking maybe music or some sort of vacation planning thing; who knows!
