Its a Small World After All...... DCL Fantasy Nov. 9th-16th 2013 ( Kids/Teens)

Hey Adriane!
How are you doing? I'm good at the moment. Sorry I haven't sent you any messages for a long time. I've been busy with new classes and have been getting a lot of homework. How is homeschooling? I wouldn't be able to because I'd miss seeing my friends every day. The other day, my mom showed me this video on Facebook. Do you know the professor from the movie Back to the Future? Well, this company got him to advertise their new product - a real hover board. It was so cool! All they had to do was push a button on the controller and the board lifted a good couple feet into the air. Later that day, my sister found out that they only cost $140! I didn't expect the price to be so low, but I'm still happy about it. Ever since, we have been begging for our parents to buy each of us one when they come out at the end of the year. What have you been up to lately? A couple weeks ago, my sister, Abby, and I participated in a Girl Scout event called Thinking Day. The theme this year was countries and my troop decided to do a country no one else would think of - Liechtenstein. We made a plasterboard about the country and even made their national dish - Kasenoffle. I'm not sure if I spelled it right, but it is basically German mac-n-cheese with caramelized onions and usually comes with a side of applesauce. Your so lucky to get to go to Disney World in a couple weeks. I wish I could go to Disney too, but my trip isn't until October. I know almost everything there is to know about the parks. When you go, you need to check out the following attractions:
Magic Kingdom:
Tomorrowland - Astor Orbiter, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, & Space Mountain
Frontierland - Big Thunder Mountain Railroad & Splash Mountain
Adventureland - Jungle Cruise, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, & Pirates of the Caribbean
Fantasyland - The Barnstormer, Dumbo, It's A Small World, Mad Tea Party, Mickey's PhilharMagic, Peter Pan's Flight, Carrousel, & Journey of the Little Mermaid
Liberty Square - Haunted Mansion
Epcot:
Future World - Sum of All Thrills ( Innoventions East), Living with the Land, Mission: SPACE, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, Soarin', Spaceship Earth, Test Track, & Turtle Talk with Crush
Hollywood Studios:
Sunset Boulevard - Rock' n' Roller Coaster & Tower of Terror
Echo Lake - Star Tours (aka best ride at Disney World)
Pixar Place - Toy Story Mania
Animal Kingdom:
Asia - Expedition Everest & Kali River Rapids
Dinoland USA - Primeval Whirl
Africa - Kilimanjaro Safaris
These are many of the most thrilling, fun, and classical Disney rides. I hope you have a fun trip and can't wait to hear from you again!

Your Disney Friend,
Emily

Hi Emily! :wave2:
I have been doing well. :) Homeschooling is going fairly well; its been hard trying to get work done though with a 3 year old brother that ALWAYS wants to play and talk to you all the time. Haha, but yes, it has been going well:rotfl: No, I do not know that person, but it sounds neat! That sounds like a fun project!:thumbsup2 Lately, I have mainly been going outside, going out for lunch with my grandma, and playing with my siblings.:hyper: I have also been planning a lot for our trip!
Thanks for all the tips!:thumbsup2 We are actually only going to Epcot and Magic Kingdom though. We are first driving down, then staying at Fort Wilderness in our camper/tent for 3 days, then transferring over to Animal Kingdom Lodge for 5 days!:woohoo: Yesterday, I surprised my sister, as a 1 day late 10th birthday gift, that her and I are going to Magic Kingdom all by ourselves! I made up a WHOLE scavenger hunt and everything! I'm also going to be meeting a friend from a previous cruise down there as well at magic kingdom! My mom, sister, and I are also all planning on checking out Downtown Disney!:tink: I am so excited! It has been so cold here lately that 30 degrees seems like summer:worried: Have you ever tried a Dole Whip? Stephanie and I are planning on getting one down there as well! Have you ever been down there during Spring Break? If so, how crowded was it and what are the best routes to tour the whole park in a day? I'm thinking Peter Pan 1st, then Pooh, then Dumbo, Ariel, etc, and the rest of Fantasyland, followed by Frontierland, Adventureland, and then Tomorrowland! Do you know any cool little secrets that we could try and find? We just saw yesterday how you can see little hidden Pascals in the New Tangled area and now we really want to go find them!:smickey: I'm sorry for all of the questions, but this is only my 2nd time there and the last time was during a Tropical Storm when I was 10!:hyper:
Let me know.....popcorn::
Your "Disney" Friend,
~Adriane pluto:
P.S. Any Epcot secrets are welcome too! I've been there a few more times, but not since I was 10 either!:)

Hi Emily! :wave2:

I heard you got surprised with a cruise a few days ago- that must have been so cool and neat!!! I wish I were on the Magic right now!!! Let me know how you enjoyed the cruise!

Hey Adriane!
How are you? I'm doing fine. The cruise was so much fun! It was five days long and we stopped at Nassau in the Bahamas and Castaway Cay. The Aqua-dunk was so fun! As I was waiting in line to get on, I kept imagining that it was going to be like that scene from Tangled were Eugene escapes from jail with the help of the thugs. I kept imagining myself inside the capsule and being like," Hey, this isn't so ba-AAAHHH", and just dropping. When I actually got on, I had to lean back against the tube and the top of the capsule closed over top of me. Then, I heard Donald's three nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, count-down from 3 and the floor just disappeared in about .5 seconds. A word of the wise, keep your eyes and mouth closed at all times because you are completely submerged in water for the whole ride. Overall, it was really fun! I finally tried one of the ship's chicken tenders- it was like eating a piece of heaven! I envied the Oceaneer's Club because of two reasons:1. They have a Frozen storybook (if I haven't already told you, Frozen is my favorite movie) and 2. When you first go in you have to was your hands and they had the coolest sinks ever! You stick your hands into this funnel and the water sprays out of these small holes on it and the water circles around your hands. We all agreed that we were going to buy some and install them in our house! I bought two items on the cruise. At Castaway Cay I bought a shirt that has Olaf relaxing on a beach. The other item was a Frozen lithograph from one of the shops on the ship. Once I get my new room this summer, I'm going to hang it up so that I can admire it every day! I know I'm obsessed with the movie, but who could blame me. It's the best movie ever! Getting back on our previous topic, we got to see three theatrical shows and a magician. The first night was "Villains Tonight", which is very funny. Next, we saw "Cinderella: Twice Charmed"- a twist on the classic "Cinderella" story. The third night we got to watch the magician. He was really funny and did many amazing tricks. The last night was my favorite! We saw "Disney Dreams", which happens to be the number one theatrical show on any cruiseline. It was amazing and is now my favorite show! We also got to see Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Muppets Most Wanted. They were really good. On Castaway Cay I built a sand-dog, but when I left to watch the hermit crab races someone destroyed it. I swear that if I find who did this, I will make pay! We also got to go parasailing since it got canceled the last time we were there. The speed boat was moving so much that we thought we were going to fall off! I even started shouting,"I don't care what Elsa says, I'm not letting go!" When It was my turn to go up, Abby kept telling me to think of Jurassic Park (she was recurring to the scene at the beginning of the third movie). The funny thing was that once we were up in the sky we couldn't fell the shaking coming from the boat- it was like sitting in mid-air. We are definitely doing that the next time we go there. The third day was the pirate party and I got to go to the pirate party this time. We got there early so we could get good seats (which were amazing) and they were playing Disney Infinity in the Pirates of the Caribbean world. It just made me want to get the game even more! My favorite event on the ship was Jack-Jack's Incredible Diaper Dash. They raced babies in the lobby! It was probably one the funniest things I have ever seen- I just wish I'd had a camera with me at the time! My favorite dinner was the last night when we ate in Animator's Pallete. I got to have the one thing I've been waiting to have since our cruise back in November- the Black-Truffle Pasta Purses! They are my favorite piece of food on the whole ship and they're probably the most expensive piece, too. I even got double portions! Overall, the cruise was amazing and I will never forget it. I hope you enjoyed your trip and hope hear about it soon!

Emily

Hi Emily! :wave2:
It sounds like you had a very nice and relaxing vacation! :thumbsup2 Our cruise on the Magic was a 5 day as well. :) I never want to go on the Aquadunk and if I did ever, I would be so scared walking up! My brother went on it, but even my sister didn't want to and she's gone on upside down roller coasters before!:upsidedow What do you mean by a Frozen story book? Do they just like show the book or is it like an interactive thing? Did I ever tell you that Frozen premiered while we were on the Magic in November?? It was so neat- they had a big Prem-EAR as they called it at midnight and I went to the 1st half of it that night. After that day, it seemed like everyone was singing "Let it go, Let it go........" HAHA:rotfl: Frozen is one of my favorites now too!:) Yes, the sinks are neat; on our last cruise as well ( on the Magic too) I went to the open house with my 4 year old brother to make flubber and I got to use them. I know its just a sink, but they are so neat!:cheer2: Those sound like neat souvenirs; I like those shows too. Disney Dreams used to be my favorite as well as Hercules, but now, my all-time favorite is Disney's Wishes! Did you see it when you went on the Fantasy? (Its only played on that ship) Sorry to hear about your sand-dog, did you get its picture? When we went to Cozumel, we went to a private beach and since we were basically the only kids, I built this one sandship that looked just like the Disney cruise with shells and coral to symbolize the details! I could never go parasailing!:scared: Haha- I like your Elsa joke; that is a good one, I'll have to remember that!:rotfl2: I remember that scene in Jurassic Park- that's kinda creepy. Haha- I'm not much of a person for scary shows or daring things!:rotfl: Yeah, on our cruise in January 2013, my brother Vince and I got great seats for pirate night- right on deck sitting down at 1st and we could see everything! :woohoo: I've heard of Disney Infinity, another game I found was really cool was on the Fantasy called Disneyland Kinect. You walked through Disneyland on the T.V, got to see characters and do fun things pretending to be on the ride- I didn't get to actually play it, but it looked so cool!:goodvibes I saw Jack-Jack's race too on the Fantasy once- it was so cute! They even asked my littlest brother to join but he couldn't even crawl yet! This one baby, though, was so funny, it got up from crawling and it started walking!!!:rotfl2: They were like, "And it looks like this baby just took his 1st step"
I will write more about our trip to Disney World tomorrow while my siblings are at school.... I'm really tired right now- I've had a really busy weekend from biking two times and hiking twice to going to this one museum/attraction thing near our house that has lots of unending paths it seems and lots of hills! I also got to play with some cats as I volunteer to help tame/play with the cats with my sister at a Humane Society for Animals! :cat:

Hi Again! :wave2:
Our Disney World Vacation was great!:thumbsup2 We first spent our time at Fort Wilderness where we biked, walked around, swam, and played around! :) We also got to see the Electric Barge and Magic Kingdom fireworks from where we were. :hyper: While we were at Fort Wilderness, we also decided to check out the Wilderness Lodge and some other things for DVC since we are now members. We got to look around the Wilderness and its pool area and even got to see the geyser explode twice! You get soaked (kinda) by it! We then went to Saratoga and this one really nice DVC guide showed us replicas of DVC rooms all around Disney World, including one we would be going to and even the one in Hawaii. :) Afterwards, we all got free icecream too:thumbsup2 We then took a boat back to Fort and got to see the Shoe tree ( a tree with shoes on it because retired captains at Disney get to hang their shoes there) :rotfl: We also went to the Movie Under the Stars at Fort which was the 1st Muppets movie. :)
After spending 3 nights at the Fort, my sister and I woke up early the day we were going to be leaving and went to Magic Kingdom!:hyper: It was only my 2nd time there and my sister could barely remember it since she was 4 last time. I was going to meet a friend from a previous cruise there. We went on basically every single ride, minus Space Mountain, the Hall of Presidents, Tom Sawyer Island, and Stitch's Great Escape. The crowds were supposed to be bad, but they didn't seem too bad- we had made a plan beforehand and it seemed to work- we got on 5-6 rides in the 1st hour:thumbsup2 We even got to see the 7 dwarf mine train- it looks cool, but I wish we could've ridden it. :( We also found a hidden Pascal in the new Tangled area. I thought that It was also neat how they had interactive queues so that you could keep entertained!:thumbsup2 I also got to try my 1st pineapple dole whip which was good. What was also neat was when we were on the People Mover, we got to see the inside of Space Mountain as it was broken and so all the lights were on-that was pretty cool!:hyper::goodvibes We never did get to meet my friend though because her phone had died after they got off their Disney cruise and she didn't have a charger. :( After our long, but fun day, we went back to our new hotel Animal Kingdom Lodge. There we stayed for 5 nights, we went swimming, decorated some cookies, watched Wreck-It-Ralph, watched Enchanted by the poolside, saw many different animals, went to an Animal Enrichment Class with Steph ( we got to help make the food for the animals) and so much more!! :thumbsup2 My mom, sister, and I also went to Downtown Disney for a bit and I got some Disney pencils, mints, a postcard, and a magnet. We also all split a ghiradelli sundae- yum! We also went to Epcot with my whole family one day, it was great! The Garden Festival is so cool with all the Topiaries ( my favorite was a bambi one near Canada and also, one of Pluto. pluto: Stephanie and I then also tried the new Phineas and Ferb detective thing- it was ok, but the speaker is so loud! We had a great time there, but it was a lot more packed it seemed!:( Illuminations was really neat too! :)
On our way driving back home, it was also really neat because we got to meet some people who will be going on our next cruise who we had been writing on the Disboards!
I'm so glad to hear you had a nice trip too! :)
~Adrianepluto:

P.S. Something else cool was that we could see the Magic Kingdom fireworks from Animal Kingdom Lodge in our room! :hyper:

Hey Adriane!
Sorry I haven't written in a while. I've been having so much fun during summer break! Yesterday, we went to my aunt and uncle's house to celebrate their wedding. It was a lot of fun. We got to play pole and with the dogs. Tomorrow, Abby and I will be going up to Buffalo with our father to see our grandparents. I'm so excited to see them! I am sad to say that I haven't seen How To Train Your Dragon 2 yet, but my mom said she would take us in a couple of weeks. Shortly before school ended, I discovered something spectacular. They are making a new season of Sailor Moon! Sailor Moon was my childhood and is my favorite anime series of all time. They decided since it is the 20th anniversary of when the series first premiered that they would make a reboot (do over) of the series. This time they are going to be sticking more closely to the manga then the original anime, but I know it will still be amazing. The graphics seen in the trailer are beautiful! The new series will be called Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon Crystal and will be streamed on websites such as Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Neon Alley. The series will be premiering next Saturday at 7:00 pm (6:00 am ET) and a new episodes are scheduled on the first and third Saturdays every month. I'm glad you had a fun time on your trip. What was your favorite part of the trip? And what was you and your family's favorite rides? I have to wait until October for mine, but my mom promised the first ride we will go on is the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. In two weeks I will be getting a new phone. It's going to be the iPhone 5c and with it I can collect special dragons all the time on my Dragon Story game. They have dragons for the holidays and other important things, but they are only available for a limited time and very often it is when I'm at my dad's house where I can't play the app. Also, last Friday my Girl Scout troop and I made a 5-course meal to obtain two badges. We each made a dish with help from the chef and our parents. I made Peanut Butter Soup and it was delicious! The Girl Scout camp I wanted to go to this summer, Roller Coaster Tycoon, finally got enough people to sign up which means they will be doing it. What are you doing this summer? I can't wait to hear from you again!

Your Disney Friend,
Emily
