It's a sickness, really...next trip dreaming

Mind you, DH and I will be in WDW next week--two days at the Poly starting Wednesday, then 5 at BWV. Then in June we are spending two and a half days at DL (staying offsite) when we go visit my oldest in CA. Then spring break 2016 on the Dream with DS for his last HS spring break.
I've been thinking this week, since the Poly won't have everything ready when we stay there...that maybe in June of 2016 we can go back...just for a few days...after all it will be our 30th anniversary that month! That's a big one!
We could try the Poly again or try to get a studio at VGF. DH said he was up for it (although I just mentioned GF--he doesn't know we are staying at the Poly; it will be a surprise when we get in the ME line in Orlando).
I know I have been unable to get a VGF lake view studio at 7 months the last three times I've tried (June 14, October 14, and April 15). Is availability getting any better? Of course I've never tried to wait list either; makes me nervous. Maybe that would work.
I know there will be no guess about Poly availability yet. That's one reason I snagged a lake view for next week--who knows if they will ever be available at 7 months once the whole thing is up and running.
You would think I would just enjoy one trip at a time! :)

I think it's great! I'm driving my family crazy talking about October 31-nov8 and spring break 2016 but we haven't even gone on spring break 2015 (april25-may3) yet :)

I do the same thing. We are doing WDW and a cruise in May and DLR in October and I've already decided to book another WDW/cruise trip in 2016 followed by Hawaii in 2017 and a possible Adventure by Disney trip in 2019.....everyone at work things I'm crazy lol

We're doing DL in July for the 60th. And then planning to go back in February for my son's birthday. Despite having 2 trips planned already, I'm now obsessing at the thought of doing a quick weekend trip in October to get in a Halloween party. The thought of regular trick-or-treating just doesn't cut it after 3 years in a row at either DL or WDW. And I did buy APs this year, so I might as well get some use out of them, right?

So, you're not alone in your "sickness". We're all with you & happily enjoying our symptoms!

Sick, yes I am all for it!
Apr for 2 nights, make-up for cancelled anniversary trip.
May 2 nights, with DGS (3) while DD and DSnL are on vacation.
June 5 nights, VB and AKL for our vacation.
Sept 2 nights for DGS's birthday.
Nov 1 night for DMnL(87) birthday
Dec 2 nights for annual DW's birthday get-away.

Heck, I am not only dreaming 2-3 years out now, I am dreaming about 10 yrs in the future when kids will all be gone and we can do trips with just me and DH. I know he thought we were going to use those points to bring our kids' spouses and our grandkids ... and we will ... some of the time ... :-)

Well, now I don't feel so bad. My next trip isn't until October, and I'm already planning what to do on which day, where to eat, etc.. Then, DH and I are headed to HHI for Thanksgiving, and yesterday I was already researching flights and investigating different restaurants to eat at. And in January, we're headed back to WDW, so that DH can run the Marathon weekend. So I'm planning that too. I kind of wondered if I was crazy to be planning so far out but now I feel better.

We have three trips in the next six months booked. Almost everyday, I'm changing around our ADRs. I tell my husband it's a job planning all the Disney trips, but I secretly love doing it.

I'm with you! Rough planning done through 2016. Since owning DVC, we have come to love various times of year at WDW, enjoyed non-park resorts, multiple trips per year, and how to get the most trips out of an AP. Aulani in 30 days!! Can't wait!!

lol a support group for the over planners among us!

Top among the various snarky remarks I hear regarding DVC membership that people are so free to dole out:rolleyes2 is the 'need' to book at 11 months out, along the lines of:

"...how will I know what i'll want to do a year from now..."

I know what I want to do - go on vacation!:yay:By getting it 'on the books' early, I ensure we have the opportunity.

I am always 'daydreaming' of my next trip or trips as well. Planning the trips and looking at all the possibilities is so much fun!

Dreaming about upcoming trips is especially handy during the work day! :tinker:

So far we have trips booked for September and December, know what dates we want to go for the following 2 years, waiting to see what resorts and room types we want to book at the time!
