We knew what airline we wanted. We knew what hotel we wanted. We knew how many nights we wanted. And we knew that prices probably would not go down in the next 6 months.

We leave March 28 from PDX to SNA. 4 Nights at Howard Johnson. 4-day park hoppers.

The only thing we could not get is transfers. But would a taxi be cheaper for a family of 3? We were going to get Supershuttle again.

The price without transfers was $1940.00. It could have been less if we were willing to mess around a bit with airports and days. But familiarity is important to us.

Let the countdown begin!!

Well your staying at the hojo maybe the entertainment rate will be available at that time keep an eye out for it may reduce your hotel expense.

We thought about that. But airfare alone was $1167 for the days/times we wanted. Add in the 4-day park hoppers (even at a discounted rate of $489) and we are already at $1656. That makes the 4 nights at a hotel $280. Which, to me, is not too bad. Last year we paid $1555 for 5 nights hotel + airfare at the Camelot through Southwest.

I am happy. DH is happy. And our son will be ecstatic!

We were willing to tinker with days/times a bit, but not airports. And I don't think between airfare and everything that booking it all separately would have saved much, if any, money.

ya airfares in sane we need to get from AZ to FL next year and our cheapest kinda fast bet is train for 700 for the three of us. planes like 200 each way
hojos will be good but id check and see if they have ent rate when you go might save some there. congrats and have fun.
i dont like transfers and stuff eathier i have to deal with one in la from phx but in airport if i can get it i dont want to have to wait around for hours.

Congrats! Isn't it great to get it nailed down? It's like, 'yup, we're going, we paid for it, by golly!":rotfl: What a great feeling!

Now you get to anticipate and plan your days. Have fun!

Thanks!!

I know many of you would tinker with days/airlines/hotels a bit more than I did. But the airfare is horrid right now. And we want a nonstop flight. The connecting flights with Southwest Airlines earlier this year were awful for us. Especially since we (DH & I) were suffering from motion sickness. I thought I was going to be sick on the airplane on the way home.

We stuck the package on DH's credit card, and now have 196 days to pay for it!!

I seriously doubt prices will go down much, if at all between now and March.

Unlike last vacation, this time we are doing ALL Disney.

Last vacation we did 5 nights at the hotel, with Knotts & Universal.

This year we will be able to explore Disneyland/DCA, and DTD more. And get to places we missed out on last time.

We are excited! I think I am more excited than the rest of the family.
:goodvibes

Were fly from PDX to SNA and we got shuttle service add to our package and it was only $20 pp round trip.
