It's a boy!! (again!) update on page 2!

Well Bubba has now been home with us for 30 hours and it is amazing!! It was like he never left for any of us!! This morning my Dad went garage saleing since Bubba came home with no clothes except a dirty and MILDEWED onesy! He bought him about 15 outfits including a pooh sleeper, and 2 pairs of Mickey pj's!! He looks so cute in the mickey pj's!! Last night we were all talking about our upcoming trip to Disney and DD says "Well I guess Bubba get to go with us now also!" I laugh and look into those chocolate brown eyes of his and tell him "Guess what Bubba you are going to Disney World!" He looks at me and just giggles!! Tonight we were watching the cruise line planning video and guess who stopped fussing and watched it? Bubba!! Another Disney freak in the making!! Also Bubba has a new best pal!! Winnie our new kitten who is 2 months old!! Winnie lets him "pet" her or should I say grab ahold of her ear She lays right next to him when I am holding him and also has to be near his porta crib when he sleeps!!
Also tonight he had a wonderful dinner of applesauce and carrots suprise!! He loved it! We had started him on some solid food before he left but I have a feeling she didn't keep at it.
As to the question someone asked of will we now get to adopt Bubba? Well hopefully, their was supposed to be a court date on Tues but it has been continued since Bubba came back into care. The judge told her last time that this was her one and only chance and he was really going out on a limb for her and if she screwed it up he was going to terminate her rights. So only time will tell but I have a feeling Bubba will be ours very soon esp with dept of family services upset he left the first time! Also this is not his mom's first child to have rights terminated on. He has an older sister that they took custody of 5 years ago.

No we are the lucky ones Bubba has taught us many new things.
Our DS has been having some issues lately and believe it or not they have stopped since Bubba came back home!! He said that now he can smile again since Bubba was with us again. I almost cried when he said that! I think that sums up how all of us feel now that he is home again

Holly, Heaven has a special place for foster parents! I hope things works out with you and Bubba. Love knows no color!!! I know alot of people want to bad mouth children services when they take children out of foster homes for the sake of reuniting them with their disfunctional familes. However, it's the laws that have to be changed to protect the best interests of the children. I believe more and more states are recognizing this and stripping natural parents of their rights sooner so the kids can be placed in stable homes. I would be sure to get ahold of Bubba's Guardian Ad Litem, And do, do your own investigating of the natural mother. Go to the police departments in the towns where she has lived or lives and make sure you have all the reports and incident reports where she has been arrested or been a suspect in. Make sure the G.A.L. has all of these. The more you can find to show the judge, the better. Good luck and best wishes to all of you!
