here is what I have planned for JUne of 2005. We were going to do Seaworld, Discovery Cove, 5 days of Universal and 5 days of WDW but Universal so hacked me off that we canceled that and we are doing 8 nights at Contemporary tower instead.

Friday the 3rd:
SEAWORLD DAY
Daughter (9 years old) and I
Arrive and go to the Renaissance across from Seaworld.
Walk over to SeaWorld for Kraaken and Journey to Atlantis

Saturday the 4th:
SEAWORLD or UNIVERSAL DAY and then the hotel pool
Either way we have an evening reservation for Dinner with Shamu
Girlfriend arrives that night

Sunday June 5th
DISCOVERY COVE DAY
Go to Discovery Cove with daughter and girlfriend
Have dolphin swim over with marriage proposal while we are all in the water
Maybe get married on the beach (haven't worked that part out yet)
After Discovery Cove go to Seaworld to feed the stingrays or
Veg out at hotel and get room service

Monday June 6th
Magic Kingdom Day
Dad goes early to check in at Contemporary
Now fiance/wife and daughter show up for 8:am PS at Crystal Palace
Be in MK early due to CP PS and get out in time to be first or close to first at the rope for rope drop
Do MK until daughter says no more
PS at Chef Mickeys for dinner

Tuesday June 7th
EPCOT DAY (supposedly unofficial guide says this is a best day for Epcot)
arrive 30 minutes prior to opening
Do all the major attractions
Hit some of the countries and eat some goodies at each country
Leave Epcot when daughter says she wants to leave
Go back to Epcot for Rose and Crown PS at 8:00pm to see fireworks (I hear it is a great place to see the fireworks)
When dinner is over maybe do Epcot EMH evening

Wednesday the 8th
DAY OFF
Sleep in - hit the pool - whatever
9:30 PS at Chef Mickeys
Then Parasailing
Then fart around the pool or whatever
Then Disneyquest until
the 6pm PS at Fulton's Crabhouse
If daughter is up to it we will do MK EMH that night

Thursday the 9th
ANIMAL KINGDOM DAY
Get to park 30 minutes early
get all the major attraction done early
proably head back to hotel for rest or swimming
5pm PS at BOMA
Maybe do AK evening hour but probably not

Friday the 10th
MGM DAY
Get to park 30 minutes prior to opening
Try to crank out the major rides first
12:15 PS at SCI FI even though I here the food is so so (the car idea seems cool)
after lunch probably go back to hotel for pool
maybe another parasailing
6:10 PS at 1900 Park fare dinner to get Cinderellas autograph (YET AGAIN)

Saturday the 11th
DAY OFF
7am 2 hour fishing excursion maybe 3 hours
The remainder of the day swimming, parasailing, disneyquest or whatever
5:50 PS for Ohana so we can see polynesian

Sunday the 11th
EPCOT DAY
Be at park 30 minutes prior to opening
Hit all the majors first
11:40 Princess PSB lunch for more autographs
maybe hit some countries we have failed to see yet
Go back to hotel for rest or pool
4:10 Fantasmic Package at Hollywood and Vine
Window shop around MGM until Fantasmic
See Fantasmic
Do MGM EMH

Monday the 13th
MK DAY
8am PS at Crystal Palace
go to rope drop
hit most major rides early
back to contemporary when daughter says so
5pm Hoop dee doo revue dinner

Tueday the 14th
Probably one last PS at CP or one last PS at Chef mickeys (haven't made up my mind yet)
check out and fly back to albuquerque

We will always be at the parks a minimum of 30 minutes prior to opening and we will always crank out the majors first. then move to using fast passes. Then window shop or leave for the hotel when the crowds get too large.
Will leave doing EMH evenings up to my daughter.

Thoughts? Comments? questions?

Orlando Gay week is from 5/30 thru 6/6.... not that there is anything wrong with that.

 :love1:

Yeah I hear ya - that is why I shifted my vacation around Originally we were going to go May 28th forward. But two things 1) I realized it was Memorial Day weekend and 2) I realized it was gaydays. So I shifted the vacation. Then I checked the schedule and the 6th is Animal Kingdom GayDay

We're thinking about Discovery Cove on Sat 6/4. You have a pretty full schedule and I hope you can pull the wedding off as planned. That would be pretty neat. Did you see that they have an evening Discovery Cove from 3P until 9PM?

Looks like Natalie has Daddy pretty much twisted around her little finger. She's a lucky girl. Have a wonderful trip and I hope it all works out as planned?

With DC, you get 7 days at SW. Are you planning on using up all seven? You could always head back over there for a morning or afternoon.

I actually worked the Parking Lots during gay days and had a blast! I went to MK and PI during gay days and I have never gone to either when it seemed everyone was in such a good mood! Hence the term "gay" I suppose!

Yeah that is why I posted my plan... I am thinking maybe I went overboard this time with to much going on.

Yeah that is new. I was thinking about that one. Could be more relaxing that way.

Yeah, I will let everyone know we have the option of ducking out of WDW and heading over to SeaWorld. Sometimes at night that place gets very calm, cool, and crowdless. At times you can get back to back Kraaken and Atlantis rides in.

And Yeah, for reasons I won't elaborate - Dear Daughter has me wrapped around her little finger for sure. I may never be able to retire, but by god she is going to have good memories of experiencing a wide swath of things with Dad. Since she was born I have taken her to the local acquarium whenever I had her. There is a concave portal window at the acquarium here where you can place your child pretty much inside the tank. She would sit in there for a half hour in awe of all the fish around her... Whenever I asked, "to the zoo? or to the fish?" She would always get more excited about the fish. When she could talk she would say "sisses, go to sisses" So when she was old enough I started saving for Dolphin vacations. She is only 9 and already is investigating where the good marine biology and oceanography schools are. lol

thanks for your imput

Wow! Quite ambitious! Although I am used to traveling with little ones! So, I don't know what you're dd's energy level is like... I'd say go for it, but be prepared to blow off some of those PS's and do Room Svc or Food Court type meals if you guys are getting burned out! Sounds like a blast!

Ambitious? Thanks for saying that. That is what I have been wondering... do I have to many PS's? and does it make the trip too structured? WHat would you do?

Suprised no one's commented on the whole marriage proposal thing going on in the water with the dolphins, guess DIS's are just too into the whole disney part of the vacation to have noticed that.

Um, one question though, don't take this the wrong way, but are you sure she'll say yes? Could make for a loooonnngg vacation if she doesn't.

hahahahahahahahah - yes very true - mmmmmm I am pretty sure she will not say no. She has been hounding me for 3 years now.

One other thing, where you going keep the ring while you're in the water????

I would still keep all of your PS's ... The only ones you'd get charged for missing would be the Storybook Breakfast and the Fantasmic pkg... so I'd def. do those. Keep the others with the plan you will do them, but if the time rolls around and you are too tired to go you don't have to and you won't get charged for missing it... and if you want to be really courteous... call Disney Dining and cancel it right then and there. I think you should be fine... you can always re-arrange things once you're there... just note the things that are more or less "set" like the PS's you've put a credit card hold on, as well as I imagine the fishing excursion and dolphin experience.

I think your proposal sounds extremely romantic... have you talked with the folks at DC about wanting to get married right then and there?

Thanks again for your input - I spoke with the DC people about getting married right then and there but they aren't quite as well versed as Disney Weddings. So concierge told me I should call WDW Wedding planners anyway, even if it doesn't happen at Disney. The problam I have run into so far is the county clerk in Orlando has to have my girlfriend sign the license... this obviuosly would give away the secret. Also, there is a three day wait after signing the documents, but I found a way around that one.

very good question - DC has a safe. You give them the ring and whatever and then the trainer in the water gives them the signal when to bring out the ring just prior to your getting out of the water. The ring is given on the beach.... not in the water. Lest a dolphin eat it ...hahahahahahaha... that would be a keepsake photo for sure!!!

Marriage proposal - how sweet :)

Now, I am iffy about proposals in the water. What if you drop the ring? Maybe you can modify that to another time in Discovery Cove when you aren't in the water.

Married on the beach during the same trip?

hopefully married the same day - maybe later at MK. As to the ring. The dolp[hin swims up with a buoy with your proposal attached to it... the ring however is held in a safe until the proposal at which time it is available to you on the beach. You can't take it in the water.

Wow, the dolphin swims up to you with the proposal!! That is certainly unique :goodvibes
