Itchin' For Some Fun...12/10/09 - 12/14/09...Finished 3/17

Leaving me in suspense for the castle lighting -what's up with that? Wow....did it get dark fast or what? I think that's so cool....how it goes from late afternoon sun to dark in such a short period of time. I know, I know....being closer to the equator and all that. It's just different from here, where the twilight hangs on forever.

Glad you got such a great power nap. I think that amazing plate of nachos would have put me right to sleep, too.

I enjoy the monorail ride from Epcot as well. It's so lovely to see the castle coming into view from the ferry. Thanks for posting all the great pics.

Great update!!

I agree with Mary Ellen! It's so cool that you can kind of follow along the the pictures and see the sunset!

That poor girl! I hope she was ok! That's definitely not a good way to spend a WDW vacation!

Can't wait for the castle lighting!!!

I love the pics of the statues around the hub! :thumbsup2 I loved MVMCP when we went in 2008! Looking forward to hearing all about it!popcorn::

The power nap before the party was a great idea. How perfect that you caught the shows and parade right at the begining. I feel like I missed everything when I went.

Agghh! Can't believe we have to wait to see the castle get decorated! ;)

Those nachos look delicious -- I could easily eat them right now even if it is only 10:30 in the morning. Naps at Disney are so delightful!

Yeay for the MVMCP -- all the pictures of the decorations are lovely, but I can't wait to see what party merchandise you bought -- 50% is such a deal!

That poor little girl! :(

Great pictures! I love those little statues around the hub! I didn't get them all this time tho!
Your nachos! I am SO having some today!!!!
Poor little girl. I just hate when people miss out on vacation b/c of sickness!
You mentioned the MVMCP pins - you did read my TR update about DH and the pins didn't you? I can't wait to see what you got!

I loved the castle lighting show too. I wish I could see that again soon. Thank goodness I took a lot of pictures!

All caught up. :) Can't wait to hear about your party experience. I am working on MVMCP party tonight if we have time after open house at school.

Great report!!

Stephanie

I loved your last update, Denise!

I felt awful for that little girl! How sad that she (and her family) had to give up something they've likely looked forward to for months- maybe even years!

You shouldn't feel self-conscious for dancing a little during a parade!! If you can't do that at Disney, where can you?? I'll bet even Walt did a little shake your groove thing. :confused3 He was a pretty excitable guy.

oooohh your nachos looked so yummy! I love that kind of meal!! I like that they can custom make them too- I'd have gone with the jalepenos!

Nice work!! keep up the photos!:thumbsup2

Hi Denise! I'm all caught up now! :thumbsup2 Great posts! Let's see if I can remember everything I wanted to comment on...

MK Rope Drop Show Post:

I'm the same way about my Rice Krispie Treats! I will NOT eat those processed ones... But the WDW ones are amazing!

I love the cute winter clothes they're wearing!! And all of the flowers and decorations are GORGEOUS!

MK Morning Post:

WOW! You got so much done! And woo-hoo for the FP and for Splash only having a 5 minute wait.

All of the MK decorations are amazing. I can't wait to go during winter sometime! :goodvibes

MVMCP Start Post:

We did the same thing with Epcot. It took FOREVER to get through the bag check. They really need to re-think how they do this. We thought it would save time, but it ended up wasting a lot of time. Oh well...live and learn.

I love the picture Tom took of the Partners Statue with the Castle in the background and the poinsettias all around. :thumbsup2 It's so pretty!

And I can't believe it was dark so early! It's crazy seeing pictures of the Move It...Parade when it's dark outside.

And I CAN'T WAIT for the Castle lighting pics!! :goodvibes

Right after the show started (while Tom was still gone) she started coughing and before I knew it, she was leaning over the railing throwing up all over the poinsettias. The little girl ended up throwing up two more times and finally they decided they should leave. I was so heartbroken for her.

I was really glad Tom was gone during all this. He has a very weak stomach and will start gagging if he even hears someone else throw up.

:scared: Poor girl! I can relate to Tom on this one. I have a fear of vomitting (yes, it's an actual fear) so I probably would've been freaking out too if I had been there. That must be the worst, being sick in Disney :sad2:

I love the pictures you took. It really captures all the holiday magic at MK. I have never actually watched that stage show in front of the castle. Maybe (and that's a big maybe) I'll take time to see it in a couple weeks when I'm there.

I'm surprised the Move it, Shake it, Celebrate it! Parade was on so late. It looks like it was hard to see the floats even though they were right in front of you!

No fair in keeping us hanging with the lighting ceremony!!! I missed it when I went for MVMCP. Speed it up woman! I wanna hear more about the party :hyper:

I feel so bad for that little girl. It is such an awful feeling to be sick in public.

The parade looks so fun. Somehow we missed it while we were there.

Can't wait for the castle lighting! :wizard:

Those look delicious! What a great meal. :thumbsup2

I did the same thing with the bus to Epcot attempting to monorail to MK - it was strange where the bag check is! But, like you said, you got a monorail ride in, so that's always fun. :goodvibes

Great pictures of the character statues in the hub, I always fail to even stop and look at those. Next trip! I think Henry would like them too!

Looking forward to the castle lighting!!

This is one of Drew's favorite meals.
I love seeing a purple Pop tray full of food. :thumbsup2

Disney naps are such good naps.

Count me in on waiting in the crowd for your castle lighting pictures.

Seriously, I'm standing here waiting. :upsidedow

The Caslte lighting was going on just as my friend Jenna and I walked up Main Street! We both hugged and got teary eyed! LOL

Great update! Loved the photos! The statue montage was great! And I'm glad you were able to help the poor girl who got sick! Great way to pay the magic forward.

It just doesn't feel like a Disney vacation until you've ridden a monorail does it?

My Dh is all about the naps when we go without the kids to Disney. I think there are his favorite part.:lmao:

Your afternoon naps are the perfect remedy for Disney overload. That's exactly why I love staying onsite. So easy to get back to the resort and rest.

That poor girl :sad2: I hope she got to return and see the lights another night.

Are the lights coming soon????? Can't wait to see them- they are my all time favorite thing at WDW- so beautiful!!

I did the same thing....rode the monorail to get to epcot...instead of just going to epcot but the ride was half the fun!!!

Love the powernap idea..we did that in the summer when we went. Had to. But now you will have enough energy to party into the wee hours.

That poor little girl...how terrible to have to leave. I have just spent the last two days with a sick little girl...its heartwrenching.

Can't wait to see the castle lighting....it gets me all teary eyed!!
