Italian Charm Bracelets - Thoughts?

I am considering starting these for my 2 kids and have some questions....TIA

What size charm & bracelet is the most common?

Are there better bracelets than others as far as manufacturer?

If you were a small boy (6) would you wear it if we did charms like Patriots, sports, Spongebob, etc.???

I want to do something for each kid for valentines day and have been thinking about them for awhile now anyway. I was thinking it would be a neat gift to add on to when we go places or certain occasions. I can get the bracelets for a couple bucks a piece and charms seem to be relatively inexpensive too so I wouldn't have a heart attack if it broke or got lost.

To be honest, I've never seen a kid, much less a boy wear one. Only adults. I have one and I'm 28, been adding charms to it since 2003.

My DD 8 has one of the Italian Link bracelets that I have been adding to since she was 4. I would not consider one for a boy.

I also have the link style that I wear more as an anklet than anything. My favorite is the Pandora Charm Bracelet. It is the style with the silver rope that the charms screw on and off of. I have been adding to it for 2 years and just love it. The charms are much more pricey than the Italian link but I like them better.

I agree, your DD may love it, but your 6 y/o might not enjoy it as much.

I don't have any. But several co-workers have the Pandora. It's very pretty.

I have one & my DD7 & lots of her friends have them. I have NEVER seen a boy wear one! My DD & I have the "Walt Disney Collection" base bracelets.
