So I got back Monday, and truthfully, I haven't stopped thinking about my trip. This is a trip that feels like my family and friends have been planning for about a year (probably because we've been planning it for almost a year). Our close family friend got married in Disney World this past Saturday and was nice enough to invite us. Everything about this trip was amazing.

We left early Thursday morning- my sister left Wednesday night. We caught a 6:15am flight from NY down to Disney (during which time I slept and killed off 1/4 of Hunger Games). When we got down to Orlando Airport, it was a little annoying finding Terminal C where the Magical Express was, but we eventually found it and headed toward Coronado.

Once we hit Coronado, our room was not ready. No sweat, as we (my mom, dad and I) piled our luggage in my sister and her friends' room and hit the pool. After a few hours, it was off to Epcot for Drinking Around the World. The Bride and Groom had AWESOME shirts made up for us (people kept asking about them-- if you were at Epcot, you probably saw a rowdy group in white t-shirts). I started with a Margarita in Mexico, beers in Norway, Beer and an amazing pretzel in Germany, and ended the day early to head to the Brown Derby to meet my parents for Dinner.

The Brown Derby was good, but not worth the 2 meals, imo. I had the Duck, which was perfectly cooked, tasted amazing, but for two meals? Please, bring me to Boma!

That night, we spent some time at DHS then went home for an "early" night. Friday morning we went to Chef Mickey's. Again, not worth two meals. The characters come around for all but 5 minutes, the food could now be found at Coronado (now a buffet style at Pepper Market). All in all, it was fun, but again, it didn't meet the hype.

Following breakfast on Friday, the boys hit the golf course while the girls went to MK. We played the Lake Buena Vista Golf course. Everything about it was perfect. First, Disney offers a voucher for a cab to the course. Once you get there, you're greeted at the door by a guy who asks what clubs you wanna rent - Cobra or Titleist (free if you stay on a resort), and you head into the clubhouse. Total, it was $150 - not bad at all for club rental, a cart with GPS, amazing well-kept course, and 18 holes. The beers were on par (see what I did there) with most courses.

Following the round of golf and showering and all, we hit Raglan Roof at DTD for a drink or two with the bride and groom before their big day. Then it was off to bed.

Saturday was a perfect morning. For a while, not a cloud in the sky. A coach bus shuttled us to the Grand Floridian for the wedding (which really is a gorgeous resort and amazing chapel). It down-poured during the wedding, but cleared up and wound up being an awesome day. The reception was held at Atlantic Dance Hall on the Boardwalk- giving us an awesome view. Following the reception, it was time for a dessert party in France and Illuminations. This was the coolest part of the trip. The entire party was bused to Epcot and walked to France. The place erupted and cheered for the bride and groom as they walked thriough France in their tux and gown.

Sunday we woke up early and went to DHS for rope drop. We got in a few rides, hit the pool at Coronado, then went to 'Ohana for dinner. We were with a few first timers who LOVED the food. We went to MK for EMH and lasted until 2am. This REALLY is the route to go. If we could have changed Sunday, we would have skipped DHS, slept in and relaxed at the pool, then really enjoyed the EMH. We waited no longer than 20 minutes for rides after 11pm. If we weren't all so tired, we would have made it longer and enjoyed it more.

Monday stunk. We grabbed a flight back home and back to the ~50 degree weather. Overall, probably my favorite Disney trip so far. See ya during Xmas 2012, Disney! :santa:

Sounds like a nice trip.

Question though, is Chef Mickeys now a 2 entitlement meal, every time I have been there it has only be a 1.
