It was to be a SURPRISE trip, but I blew it May 2012 PTR (New May 9 )

I was going to read through your whole PTR and then comment but I didn't get past the first page.

Let me get this straight..YOU USED TO BABY SIT FOR BOBBY CLARKE'S SISTER? THE Bobby Clarke? (I wasn't alive when he played but I'm a hockey history nut. You're like a celebrity!)

edit:
Okay, now I've read the rest :) Sounds so fun! I'm going on a mom and daughter trip at the end of the year so I'll definitely be reading along!

Haha. I told dh about this because it totally makes it sound like I have the coolest friends ever! (which I do...)

Yay for booking your flights! Dance Party!:woohoo::yay:

Dh should have dates for summer vaca tomorrow. You've inspired me to check on flights since I am narrowed down to potential dates until they are locked in. We have a credit with Southwest for over $100 each, so it might be much cheaper to fly than drive for us this summer.

:cool2:

This makes me feel way cooler than I am! Lol.

My Avs play the Jets at the end of this week so hopefully I'll be able to come over here for some light hearted ribbing :) But they killed us earlier this year so I doubt it :( But we beat the FLYERS! :yay:

 HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

Hope Jasmine and Jeff have a special day...they are adorable! :goodvibes

Congrats on getting your flights secured!! It's a done deal now!!!

Jasmine's bathing suit sounds very cute... I'm sure she is having fun getting all her shopping done. :thumbsup2

I though of you when I was in Target on Sunday....when I was looking at all the tiny toiletries..:rotfl:

:flower3: & chocolate wishes for you!

So happy that all of the plans are coming together! Sounds like a great first day and so happy you found flights!

Just finished reading your TR with the Spider! Got me SO excited for my mom/daughter trip! Seems so fun!

Just subscribing! Our dates may overlap some! Hope you have a fantastic time with your daughter!

This trip sounds like so much fun! It's too bad it's not a surprise, but I'm sure it was a little surprising for Jasmine when she found out. And it's great to have someone to talk to about an upcoming trip. :goodvibes

Scared to fly is an understatement Terrified might scratch the surface :lmao:.

I hear ya girl! I'm ok as long as there is no turbulence etc...but if there is....well, it's not pretty:rolleyes1

Yes, the Bobby Clarke!! His sister was kind enough to get me autographed pics of him that my sister and I still have! He was so handsome!

You are going to have so much fun...I love our mother/daughter trips! I am glad that you'll be following along!

I will keep my fingers crossed for you! Having the credits will sure help too and flying is so much faster...more time in our happy place:thumbsup2

We beat the Bruins last night...I watched the game on TV and it was so great! I love my Jets:lovestruc I still remember the year they left Quebec to go to Colorado!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
Happy Valentine's Day to you too...although I am a little late:confused3
Hope Jasmine and Jeff have a special day...they are adorable! :goodvibes
Jeff was writing exams last week so they celebrated last evening! He took her to Sidney's at The Forks which is an all evening affair. There is a set menu and a set price per person....you get soup or salad, appetizer, entree and dessert! He requested the green room where you can overlook The Forks and see the stars etc....she is one lucky girl!;)
Congrats on getting your flights secured!! It's a done deal now!!!
A done deal is right....cannot wait !!

Aww thanks! I am still contemplating one day trip down before we go but who knows if it will happen

Thank you

So happy that all of the plans are coming together! Sounds like a great first day and so happy you found flights!
Having those flights booked is such a relief....now I can just play with ADR's and the rest of our plans:rolleyes1
Just finished reading your TR with the Spider! Got me SO excited for my mom/daughter trip! Seems so fun!
I actually have on my index card for arrival day to ask for anything that's not on the first floor....I don't want to have to worry about those little buggers again:lmao:
Just subscribing! Our dates may overlap some! Hope you have a fantastic time with your daughter!
Welcome! Thank you so much and if our dates to happen to overlap and you see us, please say hello!! Enjoy your trip! Will we be getting a TR from you after your trip?popcorn::

It was a complete shock to her! So I guess I got a surprise, just not at the time I had hoped for:lmao:

I am so happy that she found out because she is so involved in the planning this time...I think she is thinking this is her last big hurrah before school so she's taking this one very seriously:worship:

Good Saturday morning everyone! Going back to work has put a crimp in my ability to find time to post on here but I'll get it together!!

May 21....we will be heading to the Magic Kingdom! I am hoping we will be bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning but I highly doubt it! We both find the first few days in the World a little hard to sleep...too excited I guess!
We will definitely be at the Park for rope drop...I have to see the show! It's one I cannot miss and hopefully will see it everyday that we are at the MK!

Our tradition is always to walk leisurely down Main Street and head over to Adventureland. We will wander around there and do some rides and probably have lunch while we're in the park. We both love CHH and Cosmic Rays, so depending where we are in the park will decide where we have lunch.

Of course then it is back to the resort to have some pool time, shower and get ready for dinner at Coral Reef! We skipped this one last year but the year before it was our best meal of the trip! Our ADR is early enough that hopefully we can take in Illuminations and a Grey Goose Slushie! I can't imagine standing to watch the show without one in my hands!:lmao:

Jasmine is off this weekend so I'm thinking that we'll probably be heading to the malls at some point to see what else she can buy for our trip:lmao: I am still holding off until April for my shopping....at least that's what I think I'm doing!

I have to admit I have not stepped foot in a retail store that sells clothes in about 6 weeks. Can you believe it? :faint: But I bet there are some cute summer clothes out there right now, so perhaps I need to change that. :rotfl:

I love the opening show at MK. Do you think I will be able to round up the nephews and get them there in time this June? Better yet, do you think they will care? :rotfl:

Glad you enjoyed your meal at Coral Reef. It's been quite awhile since I've eaten there, so perhaps I should go back soon!

The plan sounds good! I hear you about being too excited to sleep during those first few nights. Unfortunately with two teenaged daughters, that translates to two girls who can't go to sleep, but once they get asleep, you can't wake them up! ;)

This of course, would explain whey in eleven trips, we've never seen the opening show at MK!

Sounds like you've got some good plans for this day! I'm hoping that we'll be able to catch the welcome show at MK at least once this trip.

I've never eaten at CHH. What do you ladies like there?

I can't believe it...but then again if it wasn't for Jas shopping, I don't know when the time I was either....I'm thinking before Christmas:eek:

I don't know how much luck you'll have getting them to the show.....:confused3 and I don't know if they'll care either:lmao:

I had the pork tenderloin and it was so delicious....I actually could have eaten two plates;)

I have the opposite problem with mine, she is a morning girl and can't stay up past 10:rotfl2: When she was little, but 630pm she was begging to go to bed....:rotfl2:

Thanks...Jasmine has started the "you're not going to sing and dance again at the open show are you" to which I reply...."you bet I am":rotfl2:

Jasmine loves the shrimp there and I always get the fish and chips! The tuna sandwich tho is to die for...I've gotten that a couple of times too!!

There is nothing like the Magic Kingdom rope drop! The music, the characters, the countdown...they all make me feel like a kid and I can't help but sing along and get teary eyed :)

Isn't it much more fun to shop for our beautiful daughters? Everything looks so cute on them!

Enjoy your weekend :goodvibes

Rope Drop is a must for a Magic Kingdom morning! And strolling leisurely down Main Street...one of the best things to do at WDW/:love:

Love that you're having some relaxing pool time before heading to Epcot. Perfect way to rejuvinate oneself before another trip into the parks. :thumbsup2

I love the opening show at the Magic Kingdom! I mean, how can you not. I wish that I made it more often though, I always end up being a little bit behind.

I sadly have not shopped much lately either. I am not allowed to until March 2nd, and I have to see how much weight I've lost in the past month. If I don't reach my goal, it's a no go.
