It Was the Best of Times & the Worst, But It Was the Best Trip Evah!

Wow! So many updates to catch up on!

Great photos of your granddaughters, they are really cute young ladies!

And thanks for making me crave Bubba Gump's! :rotfl2: Glad you liked it too!

Karin, Bubba's was very good, but that was a lot of shrimp!

I miss my girls as they live 800 miles away in Oklahoma! It was fun to take them for their first visit to WDW!:cheer2:

You've been an updating fool. I have yet to go to morning EMH at MK. I love evening ones for the same reason though. We get so much done in so little time.

I'm so impressed that the sword moved! I have never seen that happen....
Maybe next time.

The girls really did look adorable in their outfits. I can't wait to see what they wore next and hear about your dinner.

I had never seen the sword move either. I had read in another TR where it did, I thought that was so cool, so was hoping to see it happen. I was so shocked when the sword started to slide upwards. Her sister tried hard to get the sword to pull out, but couldn't do it.

Their dresses were really cute on Thursday.

I've only ever stayed on site once, and that was only for 2 nights before we moved over to the timeshare condo for the week. So EMH is not in my range...

I'm definitely in the get there early crowd though!

After our Princess meet & greet we left the MK to travel to HS. We had an ADR for 5:00 at 50's Prime Time Cafe, so decided to spend the rest of our day & evening at HS!:cool1:

First up was a stop at the Indiana Jones Stunt show. As you might be able to tell, my GD, Emily just loves Indy! She was wearing her intepretation of his clothing. She even has a soft replica bullwhip!;)

The girls really liked this show, it was lots of fun & loud!

We enjoyed the show, left to do a little shopping at the Indy outpost that is next to the theater. I bought a set of finger cymbals to use with my new belly dancer outfit! :rolleyes1

I have all sorts of different ethnic & historic clothing! I love collecting that sort of thing, at least that's my story & I'm sticking with it!!:rotfl2:

After killing time at the Indy shop, it was time to head for 50's PT. We arrived a couple of minutes early, but didn't have much wait time. We were seated very quickly. We had one of the TV tables which was fun! I sure do miss some of the shows that were on tv! I'm now showing my age.:scared1:

Bob & I paid OOP for our meal, since we were going to a sig restaurant later in the week. I wasn't very hungry so I got a bowl of chicken noodle soup which was pretty good. Not as good as mine, but acceptable. Bob got the same thing. We didn't get a dessert as we didn't have much of an appetite. I did get one of the light up drinks. It really hit the spot, Bob had his usual beer.

The girls got chicken nuggets & smores for dessert.

This wasn't a very good photo, but was all that I could manage. Anne had some sort fish, I can't remember what she ordered. She got the brownie ice cream thingie. None of us liked it, not much flavor & too sweet.

We got some interaction with the CM. She was an older woman, very nice, but just not as much fun. She did tell us to keep our elbows off the table, but she seemed rushed. I would eat here again, but would hope that I was hungry.

We headed for Star Tours & to get Emily registered for the Jedi training. The training classes were filled for the rest of the day, so we would be back in the morning. Now on to Star Tours! The new ST was a blast, it felt so real & there are I think 6 versions.

Anne & the girls had gotten into the pin trading fun. I had a couple of pins from an earlier visit that were included in our package. So, I decided that I was going to trade also. We hung around the pin shop by the Hat & I got a lanyard, the 40th Anniversary Lanyard hanger & some pins to trade. I will post pix of my WDW purchases at the TR wrap up.

Emily was getting tired or waiting!:sad2:

Had to stop for a Photo wit a little Stitch magic!

We decided to check into the TOT hotel! Emily didn't want to ride it, so said that she wasn't feeling well. I said that I would sit this out with her, Anne told her ok, but she WAS going to ride it later! Ah me the trails of being the MIL & keeping my mouth shut!

It was time to go to Fantasmic. I'd never done this show & had no idea what it was like. It's terrible that I'd missed this during our other trips!!:worship:
Fantasmic was more than I could have ever imagined! all of us loved it!

Now back to our rooms to rest up for another commando run at HS & Epcot!

I thought I had posted here earlier, but it looks like I didn't! ;)

Great photos and fun updates is all I may add! :thumbsup2

Your granddaughters look like they are having a whole lot of fun! You are amazing grandparents and a wonderful MIL!

Great PP Pics! Love the Indian Jones pictures. They turned out great. I just adore Emily's outfit! She does look like a mini Indian Jones. So cute!

So glad you enjoyed Fantasmic. It is a fun show! :thumbsup2

OK. Star Wars and Indiana Jones?!? I don't know how I ever kept DS away from this park for so long. We've visited all the others since I knew they were designed for a younger crowd, and wanted him to be able to enjoy them when he was age appropriate.

It has to go on the list for next trip though! Love the girls costumes, especially your young Indy! I can just hear the music going now...

Love the thought of finger cymbals for your "outfit"!:rotfl:

We haven't seen Fantasmic in years. Seems like since they've limited the days of the shows the lines and crowds have been awful so we've skipped it. Maybe over Spring Break or next summer....
I'd like to see it again, I love the music!

Just found your TR and have very much enjoyed so far. I have a trip coming up soon and may just have to try doing my own when I get back.
Glad to hear the girls wound up liking the HM. It really is hard when they don't want to go but you're pretty sure once they do they'll love it. We can't get my 9 year old nephew on splash mountain and he rides much scarier things.
Congratulations to Kelly for pulling the sword! I had no idea that actually moved.

Great fun...I have to admit...I have never seen Fantasmic...and I really don't have a desire too. :rolleyes1...but I suppose someday I will.

I didn't know that the sword would move until I read Nilla's TR. His daughter was able to pull it up also. So, I made it a point to have the girl's try it.

Welcome to this TR.

You really should write a TR, this is my first. I just soldiered up & got one started!:thumbsup2

I didn't have any wish to see Fantasmic either. I really didn't know anything about the show. I was so glad that I saw it. It was really amazing! The crowds when trying to get out of the stadium, not so much!:scared1:

When Emily & I sat out the Tower of Terror, we were looking around the gift shop. I happened to notice this little boy run through the shop, looked like he was about four years old. He seemed a little agitated. He started looking around frantically, then started to cry.

I was thinking that maybe he was separated from his parents, when he ran out the door. I started out the door after him & said something to the CM about the boy. The CM went running out the door, caught up with the boy & brought him back into the shop. No one could communicate with him as he spoke a foreign language. A couple of minutes later Papa came out of the ride area, spotted the boy & all was well! :woohoo:

That was such a scary thing & people should keep a better eye out for their children. Thank goodness this had a happy ending.

I am glad the little boy was happily reunited with his father. Scary, indeed, especially with the language barrier!
