It Was the Best of Times & the Worst, But It Was the Best Trip Evah!

Teri1, I'm so excited about staying at AKL.:thumbsup2

The reason I'm feel so strongly about the stick furniture is because we have attended events in the past that were rendezvous. These were fun, but not really historical, more fantasy. Anyway, some people have furniture like that in their tents. The beds are called critter beds & it was too much like roughing it to me. I wanted something nicer for the money that I was paying.:sad2:

A bit different perspective from most people! :rolleyes1

Thanks for taking time & reading. If the Dis ever gets back to normal I will post some other pictures.:badpc:

Been MIA for so long due to the DIS being a total grump, and life getting in the way!

Just wanted to say hello, and that i'm still following along!

Well here goes. These photos were taken in March by Jupiter Island. This is the neighborhood of Tiger Woods, Celine Dion & other rich & famous people. The island is so unbeliveable. We were on a boat traveling south on the Intercoastal waterway.

Some houses.....

It would take an awfully big lottery to get one of those houses! People buy those houses for 5 or 10 million, then tear the house down & build a new one!

We went to a restore near there & saw items that were out of the house that Tiger's ex bought for $12,000,000. She had the interior gutted & some of the woodwork & wrought iron decorative fencing was at the restore. It was beautiful stuff.

This is our friends' boat. We were tied to the shore on the Intercoastal.

Glad I saw you have been posting pictures. I can't see them now, but I will definitely be checking back later!

I'm finally seeing your pictures and they are lovely. Those houses are amazing and the views from the intercoastal - NICE! I so wish I live there. Wicket is too cute in her/his hat. Is Wicket a boy or a girl? Sheesh - I have no idea. :rotfl:

Wicket is a boy!;)

The amazing thing to me is those houses sit empty most of the year!:sad2:

I will be posting more pictures soon. I have to cook tomorrow at a local historical house. I will be baking some bread.

I'm back in the 21st century after spending the day in the late 18th century. I didn't get any pictures, but I did have my pictures taken by quite a few people, most of them strangers!:thumbsup2 I know how the CMs must feel with all the pictures that they get taken of them! There are photos of me in Japanese, German,& other countries homes around the world. It seems weird when I think about it!:confused3

Back to Florida!

This restaurant on the dock was our destination for lunch, Shrimper's.

What a nice, fun day. It was hot today, but I think I could tolerate it more if I was doing "that", insted of what I actually did today. :rotfl:
