We're here now, in Orlando that is. We're conserving points by staying at Hyatt Place tonight and tomorrow we move to OKW.
"We" being, Me, DH, DD14 and DD's BFF14, DSS13 and DSS's BFF13.
The day started at 6:00 a.m. to finish up some last minute things that I wasn't able to do before collapsing in the bed at midnight last night. Unfortunately I managed to get a kidney infection at the beginning of the week, which has been quite a set back for me. It rendered me useless until about Wednesday. I'm on antibiotics now and feeling better.
DH took our 3 labs to the kennel this morning and on the way home got a ticket for an expired inspection sticker. The worst part of that is that he tried to get it inspected on Friday but the mechanic just wasn't able to get to it.
We flew out of Greensboro, NC via Allegiant Air. I can't rely complain about the service, the price couldn't be beat. I can complain that DH lost DSS's brand new ipod touch. He wanted to hold on to it for DSS and somehow managed to loose it himself. Now we have to buy him another one or face the rather of DH's ex wife
We flew into Sanford, the drive to Orlando wasn't so bad. We took I-4 since it was the weekend and we're staying near the convention center.
We got two rooms at the Hyatt Place for tonight. I used Hotwire and got them both for $112 (included taxes and fees). The boys and DH are in one room and the girls (and myself) are in another. I'd stay here again, it's newly remodeled with a big ol' flatscreen (which I'm currently using to watch Finding Nemo on) I wish OKW would update their TV's. Even though I don't spend much time in the room, I like to watch it to relax before I got to sleep.
We had a great meal at the Olive Garden. We have one at home but only go there as a special treat and hardly ever with our kids. Of course, I know why when I look down the table and see the boys attempting "color" they're french fries.
For a moment I felt like I was the chaperone on a middle school field trip.
There's a free continental breakfast here so I think we'll hit that in the morning and head over to OKW in the morning to check in. We're hoping to get a room in the South Point section. We stayed there last year and loved it.
Hopefully things will go better tomorrow. I'll let you know.........
