It was NOT the time of our lives...but it's still DISNEY! Final thoughts!

It doesn't matter what we all say, as it is clear that we all think you look great and the photos came out really good. To you they will never be great as when you look at them you remember and see all the stuff you weren't happy with.

Next time, try not to put some much pressure on yourself for it all to be perfect, have an idea of what you would like but not a definate "exact". (which is hard as who doesn't buy a pair of jeans cause they look great on the model and then get depressed cause they don't look as good on you)

Go and have a fun time with your boyfriend and I am sure the photos will be great even if it is hammering down with rain again.

Kirsten

Excellent advice! Don't forget to smile next time! Your DB smiled a lot but we didn't get to see too many smiles from you in these. These are great photos!

Rachael i think the photos are great!! Lovely, really! And the umbrella ones are adorable! In every life a little rain must fall....and you got your captured! :lovestruc I think they are beautiful pictures and....i like your top! :thumbsup2

Hey, Rach!

First of all, the photos look goood. You hair looks very nice and yes maybe the shirt wasn't the best option because of the weird angles it can do on the camera but the ones that you posted are very nice!!!

Second, from a professional point of view, having 30 out of 300 with the weather like you had is a great day for a photographer. I'm a photographer and I can tell is no easy working under a crazy weather. You are very limited! But putting the weather on the side, when I do a photo shoot I always take hundreds of photos expecting to have around 50-100 that are decent and that I can work with (the beauty of digital). It also depend in the expectations that the Disney Photographers put on you. I always ask how many photos do you expect from the shoot. That allow me to have a better understanding of the expectations and, knowing the ratio of good vs taken, take all that is needed.

But if you don't like them, there is nothing the photographer can do about that. Other than schedule a reshoot.

Again, they look good and you look amazing in it...And you said you need to loose how many more? You already look great!

A few more photos, arugh...oh well...

I wanted to use this post for any final thoughts and things that I forgot to mention etc.!

-First I wanted to thank everyone for joining in on this TR.. it has been so nice to get to know each one of you.

-Online check-in was easy to do online and really was accommodating when we checked in, no lines and everything was already, packaged to go

-Faxing the hotel prior to our arrival was the best thing ever, because we got all the request we requested and they held are packages for us. I’ll be doing that again for our trip in December.

-We (as in DBF and I) decided to order a cake because we both love sweets and had been eating so healthy for so long…it was a special treat. I’m not sure if I mentioned it but I brought some Tupperware with us and brought most of the cake home!!!

-Making the type of a cake a surprise was my idea! We always try to surprise one another in some way… every time we go to Disney I’ve always surprised DBF. He does a lot for me…I have really bad seizures, so he picks up the slack a lot. I sometimes feel like he does too much…we have a great partnership tho. In return, I like to do something for him, sometimes it’s while were on vacation (which just adds to our trip) and other times not.

-Although, were not huge fan’s of the photo’s..some of them are nice. We decided to have our photos taken because we loved Roots work and because we wanted to have some photos together for around the house and share with our families.... the only photos we have are from family gatherings on holidays or from friends. Etc,. I will never take back the experience…it was fun.

-Saturday, Day 2 was really hot and it was hard to breath.

-On Saturday, Day 2 we rented a locked at DHS in the morning… then we used our receipt and got one at MK at no additional cost. After dinner at Jiko, we went to turn in our locker key and get our 5.00 back. Once we got to the guest services, we realized the receipt was located in my purse, which I conveniently left at the room. The CM got the manager who decided to give us a question a trivia question
“What does a Hakuna Matata mean?”

After humming the song, we practically said it at the same time, “it means NO WORRIES”…. Then the manager gave us our deposit back and had us sign for our belongings. I thought it was such a neat thing to do and an appropriate question for our situation.

-Although I can’t remember specific situations but dbf made me laugh on numerous occasion throughout the whole trip. I laughed and laughed…I should have written them down to share in my TR….. next trip I’ll bring a notebook.

- I felt completely in love with Dbf all over again when he was hugging me from behind as we attempt to watch wishes from behind the castle… it was a nice moment just the two of us… but I don’t think we’ll be watching the fireworks from behind the castle again.

-We never did get any towel animals on this trip…..

-On the Monorail I asked if we could ride up front to the CM and he said they aren’t allowing that anymore (clearly from the accident)….I guess they won’t be doing that anymore.. which is clearly understandable.

-I really liked the idea that we were flying out so late in the day on departure date we could spend all day in WDW… but next time we’ll just fly out early morning the following morning… that way we don’t have to deal with late check outs/half day charges.

-I’m going to book a half-day at the hotel prior to even arriving, which will be my attempt to avoid the ‘hassle/headache’ this time around.

-My Camera… it was one of my x-mas gifts from Dbf, but it doesn’t do well.. the slightest movement with your hand and the picture is ruined. I’m hoping by December I’ll be able to get a new.

-Our engagement, I know it’s coming because he has taken me ring shopping.. my girlfriends, family and I thought it would happen on this trip… but it didn’t and I’m SO GLAD IT DIDN”T because everyone including me was expecting it.. and it would have happened.. but T (my closest girlfriend) told me that the ring came back from Tacori with the wrong setting and had to be re-sent back to L.A. to be re-set for a pear shape diamond. Which is a blessing in disguise because now I have absolutely no clue when it will happen… <3 which puts a smile on my face.

-The incident at the boardwalk bakery, if it wasn’t for the front desk at POP we would have been able to enjoy the Boardwalk. Our plan was to walk around, take it all in (we’ve never seen it before), look at the hotels, pop into ESPN for a drink etc, etc,. but because we were so late that didn’t happen.. and we really only spent like 5 minutes there… maybe on our next trip we’ll head over there for dinner.. is there a lot to do there?

-It was nice to be in WDW, but 2 nights was way too short. We decided on a weekend trip because we wanted to save up our holidays for a combined birthday trip to Las Vegas and Christmas… I wouldn’t do a weekend trip again.

-Favorite memories, was meeting the grand-ma before Spectro.. she was the sweetest lady I have ever met. I only wish I would have exchanged contact information. Going on TSM, which I beat DBF for the first time and probably Philarmagic!!!

-Worst memory of the trip, our argument on Saturday morning… at least we can laugh about it now and the turbulence on the way home.

-Jike was amazing, we'd def. eat there again... we were both so impressed with it and AKL.

-I'm still so happy with my souvenirs, often times I regret waisting my money of things I think I want/need at the time... but I wear my sweatpants/T-shirt all the time.

I really loved your TR! I will be keeping an eye on your PTR and im sure you will have a better time this trip! & i cannot wait to hear how and when your dbf proposes...i love that stuff!! =]

Oh Rach I can't believe I missed the whole TR!!!!

First and foremost, I am so glad to hear your grams is doing better!! That is truly a blessing!!!

Second...cutest puppy ever!!! Dfi and really would like one but can't have one at our apartment complex. And to be honest I think it will be baby before puppy!!

Third...cutest couple ever!! OMG I know I have said it before but you guys are adorable! The roots photos came out wonerful!! I think maybe if you try and set aside what a bad day it was and look at the pictures you might love them too. I mean you won't always love ALL of them...but seriously the Roots do great work and you looked beautiful!!!

I know this trip wasn't perfect but it did sound like you guys had some great moments AND you are going back!!

About the proposal...I know you know it's coming but maybe he just wants to catch you off guard. That's how df ended up proposing on a Sunday night randomly instead of on the GF beach after a romantic dinner like he planned, lol.

Now I'm off to your PTR for December so I don't fall behind again!!!

Hi Rach!! Girl you're crazy!!! Those pictures are stunning! I absolutely love them!! The one with the umbrella is adorable. So sweet!
