I wasn't sure what to title this thread, so I went with the Christmas idea!
Backround, I have an addiction to Target. I know this and so I avoid the stores at all cost! I also love housewares. That is my downfall. I needed printer ink and this week they had a special where you get a $5 giftcard with the purchase of printer ink. I went to a Target not in my town first. They had no HP black 21 printer ink which is what I needed. They did have a slushy maker marked down to $7.xx from $39.xx and a mini cupcake maker marked down to $6.xx from $29.xx. I KNOW I didn't need either, but DD loves to bake and makes cupcakes at least once a week so I could see it as something she would use. I love frozen margaritas so I knew it was something I would use.
Go to my local Target to get ink. They had my ink, they also had Farberware cookware marked down to $24.xx from $99.xx and who can't always use a new skillet or two or three. They also had an ice cream maker not sure of the original price, but at $12.xx I knew it was something I really needed. They also had a panini press for $9.xx marked down from $39.xx and lets face it,who doesn't love a good panini.
I brought it all home and put it in the living room and I swear we have had christmas mornings that haven't had that many boxes! I opened them all so Dh could take the boxes to recyle and its like an early chirstmas. In fact when DH came in he told me merry christmas and not to expect too much under the tree that I had taken care of that myself.
I know I really didn't need any of the things I got, but I sure will enjoy using them! Now I just have to find a place to store them!
We had to cancel all 3 of our vacations this year due to illnesses in our family, so I told DH I was entitled to some little treats since we were suppose to be on vacation this week and had to cancel it too! I told him my little buys were less than $100 and it was cheaper than taking us all to a character meal and I
can just make my own at home complete with a frozen drink, ice cream and cupcakes for dessert and a wonderful panini sandwich!
