Loving all the photos!!!!

When we say the Up characters on 7/30 Kevin wasn't there. I wonder if they will still be in January for Emma's birthday trip. She would love to see them again!

Cool! Lizzy would have liked that-she would have liked Pooh more but she already draws a good Pooh. We drew Goofy.

The PhotoPass guy took that with DH's camera. The same shot on our PhotoPass isn't blurry! :rotfl:
But the Photopass guy has a Nikon.:rotfl:

AND...he has a tripod and a fancy strobe light thingy......

This is the first trip that DS carried a bag in the parks. He actually did really well. He kept track of it, he carried it himself, it worked out great! He had his camera, his cell phone, his coins for pressed penny machines, his poncho, and his badge holder with his park pass and room key. We do NOT allow him to have room charge privileges. I kept his money in the room safe. If he bought something we charged it to the room with my key or DH's key, then I took the money out of his envelope later.

I think we only got a locker 3 or 4 days this trip. In the past we have had a locker every day. I am trying to remember why we used to get a locker. I think it was because of the refillable mugs. We would bring the mugs on the bus in the AM, then rinse them and refill them on the way back to the room in the afternoon. No mugs this trip meant we didn't really need a locker. DH typically did NOT carry a bag, which is why he looked like a drowned rat after that one rainstorm. His shirt was still wet 3 days later. I encouraged him to bring a bag after that, but he didn't.
I have to say I did notice that your DS was carrying his own bag! Lizzy did some days but it is really too small to be too useful. I wanted to let her use one of mine but she likes that bag.

So those refillable get kind of pricey with the daily locker rentals.....

Janet, when I picked up my purse this morning it felt so LIGHT! I was worried that I didn't put everything back in there. I think it was just so much lighter than the darn park bag I thought it was lighter than it should have been! :rotfl2:

I tried a couple of times to figure out what to take OUT of the park bag, but really, what can you take out that you won't need? Camera? Poncho? The rest of the stuff isn't heavy!

I carried a Baggalini messenger bag this year. First of all, it is heavy when it is empty. Second, it looked STUPID when I tried to wear it across my body. And third, I could hang it over my left shoulder pretty well, but it isn't made to be hung over the right so I got tired of not being able to switch shoulders. I swear, ONE OF THESE DAYS, I will find a park bag that I love as much as my Adidas mini-backpack. Unfortunately, the only way to know if a bag is right for the parks is to test it. On an actual trip. So far I have 3 small bags that do NOT fit the bill. My closet is starting to fill up.
I have a huge collection of bags! I think I like a small backpack that fits onto my suitcase best-it is way bigger than the Baggalini mini backpack but smaller than a standard backpack. I like that it has mesh water bottle pockets but don't like the style of the small outside pocket-it opens vertically. I didn't even take that one on the last trip though. I do mostly use a mesh Nike backpack. It is big but it is also cooler than most bags and easier to get through security. The thing I don't like is that it doesn't have water bottle pockets.

Oh, and Kevin is part of the back drop. Not only that, but he switches sides! After DS was finished we noticed Kevin had moved to the right instead of the left!

I have a Nike mesh sling bag with the tags still on it. :rolleyes1 The problem with mesh is that stuff gets tangled.
I'm not a fan of sling bags....

What stuff? Pins? Could you put them in a little say cosmetic bag or zip lock?

I know Kevin was the backdrop. He was missing for us.:confused3 Look at our photopass pics-you'll see we had no Kevin.:sad2: That just isn't right....I have to go back now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could put the pins in a little bag, now that you mention it. I just know last year when DS wanted to carry the DVC drawstring bag with the mesh bottom we seemed to spend LOTS of time trying to disengage things from that stupid mesh. I bought the mesh sling bag because DH said the regular backpack was too hot. Of course he can't carry camera stuff in a mesh bag, so he either carries NO bag, or he brings a small camera bag.

No Kevin is definitely wrong. You were ROBBED! :scared1: Better go back quick! I suspect they will switch to Princess & Frog in that greeting area by December. DS was irked that he didn't get to see Carl. We were 3rd in line, and Carl came out somewhere around the 5th family. But by then the line was WAY too long to go through it again.

Princess is enchanted by the pic of DS with Fairy Godmother. She asked me to show it to her at least 10 times yesterday. I showed her a pic of a Mickey waffle. I asked her if she wanted to go to WDW and eat Mickey waffles. She said "NO. I want to go to WDW and see PRINCESSES!" Yes, well, if one wants to stand in a line for 60-75 minutes I imagine there would be princesses at the end. She seemed shocked and appalled that there would be a LINE for princess meeting. :rotfl2:

OMG, what an amazing trip Elizabeth!! Tell Jody he took the most amazing pictures. We so want his opinion on what camera to purchase this Christmas. We've decided we really need a good one, but not TOO pricey...$500ish! I can't belive you met DEB! Wow, how cool was that? :worship: I can't imagine being able to stay as long as you all did...ah, one day! And again, Carter, ohhhh sooo charming! Well behaved, funny, all around great kid!

So glad we were able to meet! :grouphug:

More great photos! Love the hidden Mickey!

I suspect the mesh on my Nike bag is a bit better quality thant he DVC bag....

We were most definately robbed! I did hear the the Princess & Frog characters will be greeting in MK so I'm holding out a small glimmer of hope....

:laughing:Too cute! I see princess meals in you future! Do you think they will take her to WDW? Wouldn't they need a nanny/tourguide for that trip?
