It was all started by a towel...

Hi, Jeff! Our DIS meet was SOOO much fun!! :cool1:

Dinner at Yachtsman was, of course, stellar. We all ordered the exact same things we had last week, so no pics. That, and the lights in the dining room kept going out. Which was odd. It was pouring rain when we finished dinner so we just took a cab back to AKL and had an early night. BUT even with the early night...

We are running late this AM. DS said "Mom? It's 6:13." HOLY COW!! I was still fast asleep! We will never make it to MK by 8 AM at this rate!

So off we go!! :yay:

We made it to MK by a few minutes after 8 AM. Not too crowded. :) We rode Big Thunder, Tea Cups x 2, Pooh. Peter Pan was broken. Tomorrowland didn't open until 9 AM. DS was one of the first ones on Astro Orbiter, then we rode Buzz. From there we walked through the Main St. shops looking for pins - it was slim pickings.

We rode Pirates, the river boat (we had never done that before), Haunted Mansion, Small World.

Lunch was at the Plaza. They were VERY disorganized at the podium. :headache: Our ADR was for 12:00. We checked in at 11:50, and we didn't have a table until 12:15. After standing there for 25 minutes I was not in a very good mood. People with ADRs had all been seated, people without ADRs had all given up and walked away, and there we stood, waiting and waiting. Then they called "Rebecca". Um, NO. My name is NOT Rebecca and NOBODY else was standing there with a pager waiting for a table. I really was VERY irritated. We have not had to wait 25 minutes for a table the entire time we have been here. They did seat us, even though my name is NOT Rebecca. The food and service once we were inside were fine.

I could go for one of these right now! Everything else looks tasty, too, but I can see that Kona's quality has slipped some just by looking at the pictures.

Totally OT-Rob, I spent way too much of my day reading about your wedding, and I loved it! Also, my dd is coveting your dog.

Looks like you are all having a great time Elizabeth.
That sweet pretzel looks yummy. I am ging to try it next time. I always get a cherry danish and school bread usually. and some other stuff we share. Is it really sweet? Lke sickening sweet?
Kona quality definetely seems to be lacking looking at your pics. I usually order the terriyaki steak. I am too much a creature of habit!
We did Plaza in Dec. We didnt have to wait for the table, but our server was terrible. I should have seen trouble coming when the next table was getting mad at her etc.
Enjoy the magic!!

Beth, I was sad that Rob didn't bring Tolliver to have drinks with us last Friday. ;)

Maryann, the pretzel was good. It was sweet, but not so sweet that it made my teeth hurt. I usually get rice cream, but for some reason this trip I just haven't been craving rice cream. :confused3

This is really odd... I don't see any of the pictures from the posts today. None. Nada. Zip. Weird.

Lordy, why did you go posting those food pics tonight?....Im dieting trying to lose what I gained a few weeks back! :sad1:

How did you like the river boat? We have never done that before....

thanks for adding me on fb....;)

Can you see the red "X"? If you can, you can right click and then click "Show Picture". If that doesn't work I am not sure what to try.

That sundae was pretty amazing. DS wondered aloud if i could eat the whole thing. Yes, it turns out I CAN. :rotfl2:

The river boat was just kind of slow and relaxing. DH has mentioned wanting to see what it was like, so we hopped on today to give it a try.

You are welcome. :)

We just came in from the Dessert Party at MK.
It was POURING rain earlier, but it stopped by the time we got to MK about 7:30 PM. We rode Pirates, Peter Pan, Snow White, and Buzz, then we went to check in at Noodle Station.

There was a BIG line of people, but once they started seating everyone it went pretty fast. They had a lot of desserts and drinks. It was a nice set up. I guess the thing about the desserts was that almost everything was a cream thing or a tart thing. There were brownies and cookies, too, but the majority was cream things in teeny cups or tart things. And a "mango shooter" that I thought was disgusting. The little kid at the next table was shouting that he had already had 6 of them, so I figured I should try one. Ick. That little kid was welcome to have them all, as far as I was concerned!

We met up with Debbie and Richie and had a nice time chatting with them during the fireworks and as the crowds thinned out afterwards.

Thanks! Glad you liked it!

I wish we could have. He's such a sweet little guy, and he loves meeting new people. When we take him out in public, he tends to gather a fan club around him wherever he goes.

We made it to MGM for early EMH today. It was pretty crowded. Toy Story mania was MOBBED. :scared1: We got FPs with a 9:50 AM return.

DH and I rode ToT. (DS waited for us in the shop. He hates ToT.) We did RnRC stand-by. It was 25 minutes at 8:45, by the time we got off it was up to 40 since the park was open.

DS and DH went on Star Tours. I got a Jack Skellington temp tattoo on my ankle. ;)
We rode Great Movie ride (gangster today), then we went over to Pizza Planet for lunch right at 11 AM. Much easier to get in there at 11 AM than at noon!!

I bought an ornament in the Christmas shop, then we walked through the Animation Building. The wait for the next drawing class was 25 minutes, and the character lines were long. We did go see the art and info about the "Princess and the Frog" movie, so that was cool. It looks like a good movie.

We came back for our break at 1 PM, but our room wasn't done. We missed Housekeeping entirely yesterday, so we really wanted them to service the room today. DH was cranky that they didn't make it around until 3 PM yesterday. We had given up and put out the "Privacy" sign. Then they phoned to make sure we really wanted them to skip us. :headache: We saw no need for turndown since Housekeeping never made up the room, so I had a message from them last night, too.

I paid our room charges, I inquired about MVMCP tickets, I called BAGS to pay our luggage fees for tomorrow. That whole process is confusing. The info Magical Express gave us when we arrived said we had to call 24 hours ahead. I asked at the concierge desk this morning, and she told me we could pay int he morning when we took the bags down. Well, that sounded wrong. So I asked the BAGS guy downstairs and he said we needed to call and pay our fees, then bring our confirmation # with us tomorrow when we check the bags in. He said we could call any time, today or in the morning. But the girl ont he phone asked if we were leaving tomorrow, so it sounds like it is standard to call the day BEFORE departure. Like I said, confusing!

Sooo...

Dinner tonight with friends at Cape May. DS and DH are still napping. I was FREEZING. It seems the housekeepers turned our air down to 65. We keep it on 71, so no wonder it felt chilly! I also had 2 cups of coffee in the lounge while they were making up the room, so I am wide awake.

I imagine we will head to Epcot after dinner, unless it is too late by the time we finish eating. MK is open until 2 AM, so MAYBE we will head over there! The clouds are gathering now, so I suppose if it is raining after dinner we won't do much of anything. Which would be a waste of our last night. Hopefully the rain will clear out by the time dinner is over.

I can't believe how fast your trip has gone! We did an MK EMH until 3 am last August and had a great time. I hope that the rain stops for you! pixiedust:

Elizabeth I hope you all enjoy your last evening at Disney! At least you still have Dec. to look forward to :yay:

HI! Just finished reading it all! Loved everything and am sorry that your trip is almost over. We are spending 10 days in AKC from 12/24 - 1/2 and we can't wait. Do you have any pictures of your pool view? we have had a sav. view and are really hoping to get that again, but would love to be able to show husband the pool view from Con. level rooms. if not thanks anyway and safe home:)
