A manager came to my room straightaway after I marched down to the concierge desk and fussed about the roach. The manager took the roach with her. What she did with it is of no concern to me as long as she didn't set it loose in my room after we left.

She phoned and said Pest Control has informed her it is an Australian roach. I will Google that in a minute.

They came to the room and sprayed, and Housekeeping changed all of the linens (she left me a note to that effect). I am assuming they changed the linens because of the spray and NOT because they think there were roaches in the beds. I won't dwell on that.

So in other news...
We had a good day at Epcot! We went to Test Track at rope drop and rode stand by, then we went to Mission Space and rode the weenie side. I will NOT ride the orange side. From there we got a FP for Soarin' and went over to Living Seas. We browsed in Mouse Gear, made velcro frogs in Innoventions (those are super cool - even better than the plastic robots they used to have), and then we headed over to World Showcase. We stopped as the place Formerly Known As McDonald's and I had an Oreo blizzard thing. It was quite tasty.

We saw the movie in France, browsed around Morocco, then we took the boat back to Future World so we could do the Visa Meet & Greet. The characters today were Minnie & Goofy.

We rode Spaceship Earth, had lunch at Sunshine Seasons, decided we didn't have enough time to do Soarin'. We had FPs, but we wanted to get our photos from the Visa thing and come back for a break before dinner.

Dinner tonight at Turf Club with friends, followed by whatever.

OH...and I forgot to say I had to have one my carry on bags searched on the way home due to a mini M&M container of quarters & pennies.

We did a fair amount of pin trading today. I am working on the Alphabet Hidden Mickey pins. At least 5 of the ones I got today are counterfeit.

My absolute favorite WDW treat used to be the pre-packaged Nestle Toll House ice cream sandwiches. They don't have them in the parks anymore, which is a travesty. BUT DS pointed out yesterday that the AKL gift shop carries them!! YAY!!!

2nd.... I knew you were doing a LIVE report but just didn't see it.... I thought maybe someone was pulling our chain.....never thought to look on this board!! Smart of me, huh! LOL

The pins, I never even thought there would be fakes out there!! I did not even give it a thought. I do not trade but I have collected some over the years for my nephews who do (and will this fall). Is there anything I should look out for?

The ice cream!! That is actually one of my favs too! And one of the few things that I like with chocolate!

As for the roaches.... well, didn't you see a Bugs life?

I should have know better...it has happened to me before....I will either put them in my checked bag from now on or take them out of my carry on and put them into a bin. We didn't even get any pressed pennies this trip.



IF...you happen to see any Walt Disney World coloring books in your shopping could you pick them up for me? I meant to buy them in May and forgot and then couldn't find them myself last week. I did buy one with a red cover but I know they used to have at least 2 different ones. I saw Tink and Princess ones but I don't want those.... Thanks!!! Oh...and the red one I did buy was in the Poly gift shop so maybe some other resort gift shop has the other old one.

The counterfeit pins are usually thinner, lighter weight metal. The paint will be dull instead of glossy and may have flaws, brush marks, etc. The alphabet ones should have 2 little "nubs" on each side of the post on the back. The font should not look like it was done on an old fashioned typewriter.

The ice cream sandwich I bought the other day was the last one in the case. At Kidani yesterday they didn't have any. I need to look again and see if they restocked them!

I can't decide if we'll have Bell Services take all of our stuff at 7 AM or if we'll come back at 11 AM and have them take it then. Probably 7 AM, then we will HOPE we have a room to come back to before we need to change for dinner.

We had trash & towel service today. Our housekeeper left us a little thank you note, which has never happened before. I thought that was sweet.

I'm glad it all worked out and that despite thunderstorms you got to have some nice times with friends and food for your birthday. To be on the bus, heading to the MK shortly after 7 is fantastic!!

We got to MK and we were "Locker Family of the Day" (or something like that). We got a free locker, a little certificate, and an "I'm Celebrating" button.

Breakfast at Crystal Palace was yummy, as always. We eat there MINIMUM once each trip, usually more. We love it for breakfast and dinner.

I stopped at Guest Relations on the way out to get my Birthday Fun Card.

Congratulations!! How fun to be the Locker family of the day!! When we went on our 2nd trip over Easter we had lunch at CP. I am so excited that we will be having breakfast there in September. I have been waiting to try the puffed french toast. Your pictures are so cute! Actually all of your pictures are great and love the food porn. Thanks!

YIKES!!! Cockroach in the bathroom, Take 2!

I would ask at the concierge desk to see if they have the cans of spray (for bed bugs, roaches etc), so they can spray your suitcases for you before you go home. How bizarre that you are having a problem on a high floor without food out.

I am impressed by what an adventurous eater your son is! So nice to see!!

Tammi - We have Kona on Tuesday night because we'll be at MK. You will LOVE the scallops at FF. Turf Club was good. We met some friends for dinner, then more friends met up with us in the lounge after dinner. It was a fun evening!

It's always nice to just have a "do whatever" day. We will be in Disney for 9 nights in September and we have one of those too. I am loving your live TR by the way!
