It was all started by a towel...

Oops. Somehow I have managed to wash 6 new pairs of jeans. 5 of them are the Lands End brand. They all claim to be the same size, but they are not. One is quite short, one is quite long, and 3 are pretty darn close to fitting. This is a good indication that NONE of the 6 pairs in transit are going to fit, so I will be making a very LARGE return to Sears. The Lauren ones are WAY too long, even when I wear my new shoes. So they HAVE to be hemmed. But they do not HAVE to be hemmed before the trip, because I am not bringing them with me.

I really need to map out our June ADRs in case the vacation bid pans out for us. It would be a disaster to get the June weeks and not have my ADRs planned before we leave, because I will need to call for them while we are at WDW. Perhaps I ought to do that now...

I have decided to resurrect my favorite park bag. My Adidas mini-backpack is the PERFECT WDW bag. BUT the lining is all cracked and peeling. :sad2: Through the miracle of modern innovation I decided to line the inside of the backpack with clear packing tape. This will either work like a charm, or the tape will peel away from the backpack lining and everything inside will end up stuck together.

My Baggalini bag is simply too heavy to deal with on such a short trip. I know that doesn't make sense. It makes sense to me, so just go with it.

EIGHT days until departure!!!

This is the week I try to clean so the pet sitter doesn't run away screaming in terror. :rolleyes1 I haven't made much progress. I hate to clean.

I would rather shop. Or pack. Or plan.

The forecast looks cold. I HATE cold. I just pulled 3 pairs of capris out of my luggage and replaced them with jeans. DH is talking about bringing a checked bag. :sad2:

I need to pack stuff for DS. I seem to have misplaced my Master Packing List for Winter. All I can find is the Summer one. Not good.

Sigh. It will truly be a miracle if I can pull this trip together before next week. The jeans/shoes/jackets thing is going to send me 'round the bend. :headache:

DS is packed. In my frenzy of buying and returning I managed to miscount the number of jeans he has. It appears that he only has 5 pairs instead of six. Translation: I will be doing laundry Wednesday night.

I managed to dig out some undershirts and a pair of silk long johns so he should be in good shape even if it is REALLY cold. The problem is if we need to bring an actual coat for anybody we will have to check a bag. :headache:

It was hard to feel "Christmas-y" in 2007 when it was so hot, but really, I like hot better than cold.

And now the 10 day forecast says we will have RAIN! :headache: Glorious.

The only thing I hate more than cold is rain. I already have my poncho in the suitcase, but let's be serious. If it is in the 40's AND raining? I'm staying at the resort! It isn't supposed to be THAT cold. Low's are supposed to stay in the 50's. But since I determined my threshold for cold is about 60 degrees I think 50's and raining will be unacceptable.

OK, after unpacking and re-packing the suitcase AGAIN, I think I am happy now. I just need to wash some jeans to wear on the plane.

The shoe guy did an AMAZING job on my Bandolinos! They look brand new!! :yay:

I bought a pair of Uggs at Nordstrom this morning. Not for WDW. Just for home. But I suppose if the forecast takes a nose dive I could bring the Uggs.

I have my make-up bag finished and packed. I have my quart bag finished and packed. I have the pin lanyards and pins packed, even though we probably won't be trading that much.

DH has packed nothing.

My last day off before the trip! :scared1:
I think we are in pretty good shape. I need to finish putting stuff in my backpack, make sure I have the APs and all the confirmation documents, etc.

I forgot I hate to work on departure day because I switch wallets. If I switch before I go to work there will inevitably be something in my "regular" wallet that I need. :headache: But I won't have time to switch after work. Crap. That's not good.

Today we need to finish getting things tidy around the house. Laundry, vacuum, etc. Very tedious.

I was wide awake from 1:30 - 5 AM this morning, so I am sure I will be dragging today.

DH cleaned out his dresser and his side of the closet today. He pulled out 3 big bags full of stuff for Goodwill. He hasn't packed a single thing, but at least he has room to put away all of his clean clothes now! :rotfl2:

He also took a stab at cleaning the kitchen.

I have been doing laundry all day. Still need to vacuum.

All things considered I think we got a fair amount done today. Which is good, because I won't feel like doing anything after work this week! :rotfl2:

I am excited about seeing so many friends on this trip. We are meeting up with people Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Mostly DIS friends, but also my friend from high school who lives in Tampa may join us for dinner one night. :)

Hope you said, "Rabbit, Rabbit" this morning!! I remembered, thank you very much. :teeth:

Oh, and FOUR DAYS till I leave!!
