Don't worry about the coloring books. I looked on the Laughing Place and they only have the one that I already bought so I'm thinking the old ones have been discontinued. I thought about buying them for over a year. I don't know what held me back. I was hoping to use some images for appliques. There are lots of coloring pages on line so itsn't the end of the world or anything....

We had a nice breakfast at Boma.

DH went to do laundry, and I went back to bed for about 2 hours! That NEVER happens at Disney. NEVER. But it was nice to get some additional sleep. DS wants to go to MK. I fear it will be crowded as all get out, but we are going to try it anyway.

Bernadette - Have you looked for coloring books at Dollar Tree? I bought some for Princess not too long ago. I can look and see if they still have them when I get home.

It's not a bad price, and it gave us a break from doing continental breakfast in the lounge.
Eh, water parks. You know how that goes. DH was worried that it would be at capacity and we wouldn't be able to get anything done so we skipped it. Not sure if we'll go next week or not.

I have to say AKL/V has responded VERY quickly to my bug complaints. They have been very nice, offered to move us to a different room, had Pest Control in our room within an hour. Considering this is FL where bugs are common, I have been pleased with their handling of the situation. Hopefully your room will be bug free!!

We walked down to the bus stop about 1 PM today. MK bus was pulling away, but the driver was nice enough to stop and pick us up. We were the only ones on the bus! We got to MK and it didn't seem crowded at all.

We got a FP for Buzz, rode Snow White, saw Country Bears, got a FP for Big Thunder (the FP return times were only about an hour after the current time), rode Pirates, watched the 3 PM parade, had a late lunch at Pecos Bill's.

It was looking stormy so we tried to stay near shops and attractions we could duck into. We saw the Tiki Birds, rode Buzz with our FPs, got another FP for Buzz, rode the train from Toontown to Frontierland and used our Big Thunder FPs. Rode Haunted Mansion. Got a FP for Pooh, and it came with a surprise FP for Philharmagic. So we rode Buzz again, saw Philharmagic, rode Pooh. The wait for Peter Pan was 45 minutes and no FPs so we skipped that.

At 8 PM we decided to stake out a spot on Main St. We NEVER do that, but it seemed like a good idea. I left DS and DH and went to get drinks and snacks. It worked well. We watched Spectro at 9 PM, then we left.

I was amazed at all the stuff we did today. I think it has something to do with NOT having a TS dinner. And not trading pins. It's amazing how much time those thing suck up.

I had a super cute "towel animal" birthday cake in the room, along with a card from Mickey. I'll post the pics tomorrow - I am falling asleep in my chair.

We have the Sunrise Safari tomorrow! Have to be in the lounge at 6:45 AM to get things sorted out. I want to pay cash for it and that befuddles them somewhat. Had a message on the room phone that I could have paid for the safari today to save time, but we didn't get back until after the desk was closed.

I forgot to mention that even though MK wasn't too crowded yesterday, the wait times for the character greetings in Toontown were long. 60 minutes for princesses, 75 minutes for fairies. DS doesn't do character photos unless it is a rare character and the line is short. There is no way we would have stood in line over an hour to see the fairies!

It is hot out there. Like sitting-in-a-veggie-steamer hot. HOT. Not sunny hot, but oppressive, humid hot. We did the Sunrise Safari, ate breakfast, got a FP for Everest, rode Primeval Whirl, walked the Maharajah Trail, and gave up. Never even used our FPs because we couldn't hack the heat until 12:20. I don't recommend waiting until after 10 AM to get a FP. So we're back at AKL now trying to determine what to do next.
