it took 144 hours but I finally got the yellow car magic

I've spent the last 4 days on the yellow car quest.

I've played the haunted mansion game over 50 times trying to get it to register the fact I got 45 ghost. I can get 45 ghost with little trouble but the game won't register it. I've got over 60 ghost and the game wouldn't register it.

Finally today I got 65 ghost and it finally registered that I got the 45 ghost, but then I had to go find the atoms. I got the first one with no trouble but the second was not there. By now I know what the atoms looks like. I walked back and forward over the station floor several times before the time ran out.

Now I have to go back and get 45 ghost again.

Every quest takes me longer and longer. Not because I don't get it or because I don't know what to look for but because the game refused to register the fact I've completed a task.

What must little children be feeling about this if I'm sitting here in tears over it. Four days on this one quest.

The first one took me over 20 hours.
The second one over 25 hours.
the next one over 35 hours
and this quest is sitting at the 45 hour mark.

Cat - the atom that you could not find is can be found by sitting >>>in one of the chairs - which one I am not sure I sat in all - so find a empty monorail station.<<<

Keep at it, thoughts are with you, I know what it's like!

As for the atoms, one tip I said somewhere else might be useful. If you can, log on at VMK opening and head straight to the station and then next the quest. Being out of the way it's quieter, well has been last couple of times I've seen it. Maybe the weekend if you have work commitments etc.

awwwww cat! I feel your pain! I myself have been at the green car one forever trying to get 85 ghosts, 3 times I got 85 ghosts but could not get the first atom so was sent back. I know where the atom is, behind the desk, but I could not get it for some reason I would walk there over and over and nothing! Finally last night it worked! Now all I need to do is somehow get 15 thousand more points on fireworks than normal and I got it made! LOL

Just remember though it says 45 ghosts it does not count if you caught a player as a ghost. It has to be 45 ghosts (no player ghosts) Hope that helps. Play three round and you can do it if you stay on one side and two or more players on the other side. :0

- Use a monorail station that is virtually empty. This will make it much easier for you. Keep switching until you find one that has very few players.
- And most important: Once you get all of you ghosts, do NOT hit "next task" until you are at a monorail station and ready to go. That is when your time starts. Find the first three as quickly as you can. Then if you get bumped back, it is not to those blasted ghosts!

Good luck! You can do it.

Hi, I'm now at hour 68 for yellow car quest.

Ok, I did walk over every inch of the floor but I didn't sit in the chairs, if I get through the 45 ghost again, I'll sit in the chairs.

But again I've having trouble with the ghost.

I don't even know what hour I'm on now on the yellow car quest. I've given up on it- mostly, but today is day 6.

Yesterday I'm in one of my rooms tinkering with the new quest machine I bought when Host_Hula comes and wanted to know if I was still on the yellow car quest. I tell her "Yes, I'm been doing it a long time" She asked if I was still having trouble with the ghost. Yes I say. She then offer to help me get then right then and there. So we leave my room and go to the Haunted Mansion room. She starts a game and I get on the purple side. Of couse everyone in the room wants to play with a staff member so the green side fills up quick and she kicks everyone off the purple side but me. The game starts then Hula DCs. But everyone continues the game and I get the 45 ghost needed. Great so far.

Then I go to the next task which is go to the tomorrowland hub and go to the monorail. Great. I can do that.

Then it's first an atom. Ok, see it -get it. Then it's find the second atom.
But it is no where there. I've have gotten this far in the past and the same time happened that has happened before. I carefully walk back and forward over the whole station floor trying to find the invisible atom. I sit on the chairs. I walk around and around and time runs out.

So - guess what-- I have to go back and get the 45 ghost again.

Then I dc again. So I get back online and go to the Haunted Mansion room to try the ghost again and only get about 30 of them. I go back in to the lobby and Host_Hula is there and she is offer to help someone else. Then I dc again. So I just get up and leave the house all together and work in the yard.



Anywho....Thanks to Host_Hula for trying.

I have just lost any heart I had for the quest. Sure I want the yellow car and the green car but it's just not worth the pain, heartache and total frusrating I have over the quest. I think that 6 days of trying is enough time to *waste* on this. If I feel better in time I might try again but it won't be more then a time or two at a time.

Beside I'm still trying for the Narnia Teleporters. Got 8 windows open right now as I work.

Hey Cat,

I know Bears is really good with finding the atoms, and I'd love to help you play ghosts I got a girl her 85 ghosts today just in a 1 on 1 game (although I wouldn't recommend it, definitely not guaranteed), but so 45 should be no problem. Me and other good Dis Mansion players are always hanging around the Mansion steps and when someone needs help, we just message each other to come play. So when you're feeling ready to try again, just find one of us and let's get you your car!

In the mean time, hang in there! And don't forget to breathe

The second atom is: along the rails in the corner behind the chairs. It blends in well with the design of the rails so just walk as closely to rails on that side as possible.

Cat, I feel your pain! I am up to hour 95 on the green car quest because I can't get by the fireworks! I get so close and it annoys me so much rofl! I would 275,000 or 276,000 and think to myself, if only I had recieved 5 or 4 more flawlesses I'd be set! But it is when I have a running chance at getting 280,000 where I'd crash or dc in the last level not even recieving the credits! Ah well...I suppose someday we shall all get by these quests. lol Cat, if you ever need any kind of help, pm me and I will meet you somewhere. I would be happy to help you until you get by the HM and atoms.

Poor cat,
I will be around this evening if you want to give it a go. I can follow you to the monorail station and help you find those pesky atoms so you never have to play HM again.

Without the help of wonderful Disers I'd have never gotten the yellow car, either. And they helped me again through 85, crash after crash, so that all I have to do is somehow miraculously hit 280,000 to earn the green. I don't even want to see my timer. . .

I could not find the atom for the green quest either, so it timed out and I am back to trying to find someone to help me get 85 ghosts! Did they lower the fireworks to 280K now? I have never gotten over 225K so I guess it doesn't really matter.

Lol, the only reason I bothered to get it was because I want the green car. Not that it matters. I suppose I'll have to work at fireworks a bit more, but right now I can't even manage to get past 255,000. Oh well.
