So here it is my first PTR! My name is Erin. The evil mastermind behind this summer trip. I'm 24 (will be 25 in May) and a full-time teaching assistant from Pennsylvania. Here's a bit bigger of a picture of me with my favorite hat from my most recent trip in November 2016 at AKL:

I've been hanging out with the mouse and the gang since I was 3, so I'm no stranger to Disney. Here's my younger sister (the blonde) and I circa 1999 (as if the decade wasn't painfully clear by those glasses). I'm probably about 7 here.

My sister isn't actually part of this dynamic duo going on this fun filled trip. Which brings me to introduce my Disney partner in crime Amanda:

As you can probably tell Amanda and I are big fans of Monster's Inc and Monster's University. Yes we have the same hat. Amanda actually had it first from her July 2016 vacation and I forgot (I swear) and I ended up buying it just a few months ago in November. Oops. Amanda wasn't too happy (jokingly of course). We're not too into the whole best friend twinning thing.

Here we are again at a concert and a fraternity (yes I have that right!) event with our friend and fraternity family member Amy. She sadly won't be joining us:

So stay tuned for this extremely early, but sure to be fun packed PTR!

Next up: The Master Plan

The Master Planner

This all came to be because our honorary fraternity (I'm an alumni and Amanda is finishing up her final semester at college) is having a convention July 18th-22nd. We're of course excited for that part of the trip, but also excited for the "after party" week July 23rd-28th at Disney! Somehow we started with 7 people and it dwindled down to just Amanda and I. So I inherited our friend's previous title of master trip planner:

Honestly we're not mad everyone bailed. It just meant we could finally make our Disney hotel reservations once we knew the final number. So after some debating we decided on All Star Music for our hotel:

6 days/5 nights ASMu
Quick Service Meal Plan (1 QS per day)
4 Day Base Tickets

So since we were waiting so long for the final number for the trip we were already just 184 days away from having to make ADRs. We began obsessing to the point and I was extremely worried about getting our chosen restaurants. I was up until 2 this morning making sure everything was in place for the 6 am showdown. Turns out I got everything we wanted as far as table service and when it was all booked I then realized I only had about 4 hours sleep. So I kind of looked something like this:

A very happy and sleep deprived mess. This is what we ended up deciding on:

July 23rd: Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe (Dinner)
July 24th: Yak and Yeti (Dinner)
July 25th: Rose and Crown (Dinner)
July 26th: BOG (Dinner)
July 27th: Sci-fi Drive-in (Lunch)
July 28th: Chef Mickey's (Breakfast)

I'm not sure why but I'm proud I didn't screw anything up and I keep looking at our reservations like an evil mastermind:

I won't be proud of myself for too long though. I'm sure to screw something up and Amanda won't let me forget it when it happens. :rotfl:

Now to do this all over again with the Fast Passes come May....

To be continued!
