How bad do you think it will get? Anyone there this week staying on site? How are the FOTL waits? (We will be there NEXT Monday.)

Those wait times really don't seem that bad to me. Maybe a little high for Jaws and a few others but nothing extreme. This weekend is going to be crazy!

Anyone there with FOTL? I would love to know hw bad the lines are.

Wow...those waits are worse than disney. Is it normally worse than disney? Where did you find this info?

120 minutes for The Mummy and Ripsaw Falls!

So out of curiosity - Do the wait times have caps? Is 120 minutes the most we would see on a wait time?

No, The Simpsons Ride regularly went over 120min upon opening and Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit was frequently 180min when it opened.

Are the data correct for dueling dragons? I thought they were closed. Wouldn't the wait time be indefinite?

No, they are open. Flying Unicorn (Flight of the Hippogriff) is closed.

They have a special covered entrance through Hogsmeade for Dueling Dragons.

Sounds like the begining of spring break to me!

This tidbit makes me happy! :yay: I wasn't sure if they had opened Dueling Dragons back up yet. I will keep my fingers crossed that it stays open for my daytrip there in a couple weeks.

I'll be making my first visit to IOA next year at Spring Break time. I know that at super busy times at Disney and Sea World (e.g. Christmas, summer, spring break) when you get to the park at rope drop, typically your first two hours are pretty good (minimal waits). Is the same thing typically true at IOA? If so, maybe we'll be OK, we just want to do the Forbidden Journey, Dueling Dragons, check out the Harry Potter theming and stores, go to the Jurrasic Park Discovery Center, and then ride the Hulk on our way out. My son has been to IOA and Universal before, and he just picked that attractions that he wants to see (has been on the other stuff before and not interested in doing it again). If we get there at rope drop and go on a spring break week day (maybe Wednesday March 23rd), would we have a reasonable time with this strategy or do you think things will be sooo crazy with HP that even with a rope drop start and minimal attraction plan a front of line pass would be a good investment.

We were there on Weds and Thurs with hotel Express passes. The Express lines were manageable, and I was thoroughly glad to have them despite the sky high rate we paid at the Royal Pacific (which we otherwise loved).

We encountered 10 to 15 minute waits at Hulk and Mummy, and a solid 25 to 30 minute line at Jurassic Park. Spiderman was 15 minutes on Thursday at noon. Otherwise the Express Lines had minimal waits. Truly, we did both parks in a single day despite the spring break crowds and a pair of leisurely sit-down meals, with multiples on many attractions, then came back for night rides. Rip Ride Rockit was the only problem - technical difficulties made it a tough get, with no Express option and 90 to 120 minute waits the norm. It opened late both days of our stay too.

You sound like us! We only stayed at Royal Pacific because we wanted the Express Pass. We were there from Sunday - Friday this week though. The nightly price was insane but worth it in the end! And the hotel is beautiful. I love the pool area and not having to take a bus to the park! :)

We really had no problems with the lines using the Express Pass. We probably waited the longest Ripsaw Falls, maybe around 15 minutes. Most everything else was less than a 5 min wait.

We were completely frustrated with Rip Ride Rockit too! We finally did get to ride it...and only because we used the single rider option. I posted about this experience in another post.
