It must be a full moon!!! I'm hoping Delta takes pity on me!

:confused3 Hubby has to return from holidays 1 day early in June because he has a meeting scheduled that he absolutely can't miss - so I booked a flight tonight for his return 1 day prior to the girls and I.

I obviously messed up b/c I booked this return flight first and paid for it without first cancelling the flight he would have been taking home with us - could have used the credit towards the new flight! Ugh! How dumb - must be a full moon or something!

Do you think there would be any way that Delta would credit a refund onto the new ticket even though it is already paid for? Oy!!!
 
I was told by a Delta Rep that if you cancelled a flight, that they would give you a credit that you could use on a future flight within a year.
 

:) thanks for the advice all! I love Delta - I called the next morning and asked about the situation - they fixed it! They cancelled the "extra" reservation I had made the day before (under their 24 hour policy) and gave me a full refund - then they split off hubby's reservation from the rest of the families and made the necessary changes so that he will fly home one day earlier! :) It only cost me the $150.00 change fee plus about $40.00 - a lot less than the "extra" reservation.
