and we are finally making our way back to Disney this December. I can not even begin to describe my excitement.

I can't believe that we haven't been back since 2010. Haven't been able to afford it! Then they keep raising the rates which makes things even harder. :crazy2: Doesn't help that we have a large family and always get the deluxe dining either though ;) As a family with all boys and the 2 oldest ones eat like a small army, it works great for us!

So, how long is the longest that you have had to hold off on Disney?

7 years. A whole 7. The only reason is some family financial issues, but it's always nice to go.

It will be 3.5 years by the time out trip rolls around! We finally feel comfortable paying for something this big.

It will be almost two years in between trips. We are doing other vacations though.

Well, up until 3 years ago, I had to hold off my entire life! LOL

It was always a childhood fantasy of mine to go to WDW, but never in a million years would it have been possible. We went through many hard times and when I finally got out on my own the dream faded away...until I had my own children. I didn't realize how powerful the moment would be for me, walking down Main Street and seeing THE Castle in person for the very first time. The child in me came back for the first time in a long time, and has not left since.

We leave in under 2 weeks now, and I'm about to crawl out of my skin. I cannot wait to be back in the bubble! :cheer2:

The last time my DH and I got to go together was in 2005. But this year will be the first as a "family" since we now have DS (2 years old).

We don't want to wait that long again now that we have DS. Though next year, we want to maybe do a Disney cruise just the two of us since that will be our 20th anniversary. (We waited a long time to have a child)

I have been lucky. In my entire life I have never been longer than 4 years without Disney. Let's hope it stays that way.

Our first trip to WDW was in 1999. Since then, four years is the longest it's taken from the "planning" stage to actually getting there. Our 2013 trip was in the works since we came home from our 2009 trip - but kept getting postponed due to some major life events (moved to a new house, new baby, work changes). Our other trips didn't seem as few and far between only because we chose to do some big camping and beach trips some years instead.

I am HOPING that our next trip for this September comes through, otherwise it will be at least 2 years from the last trip before we get to see Disney again.

We've went as long as 6 years between trips. I went for the very first time in 2005 with DH. We had a blast and loved every minute of it. Then life happened. We had a couple of kids, moved, and got new jobs. We took DD for the first time in 2011 and we've been every year since. It is our absolute favorite place to go!
