People use "r" or "u" instead of typing out "are" or "you".
It's like, for Pete's sake. It's TWO extra letters!

bcuz
b/c
bc

Those bug me too.

Does it bug you?

Yes.

I bug myself with I dont use the correct, their, they're, or there.

And also when I dont use the correct you're.

Actually, I was just talking about this with my best friend yesterday. It bugs the hell out of me.

I also hate it when people write ''lurve'' and ''meh'' instead of ''love'' and ''me''.

It actually doesn't bother me that much.
I don't get why people make such a big deal about it.

and I use b/c sometimes, haha.

the 'meh' and 'teh' bug the hell out of me, though.

Ahh! I hate it when people mix those up. Same with ''its'' and ''it's''.

I feel like correcting people on here, but I would probably get in trouble for being off-topic. Plus, people on the DIS tend not to take correction very well.

Guess it just bothers me because some people take it overboard and start talking like that and at school write like that too.

I mean its ok to do that online sometimes but when your in the real world learn to write correctly.

Well, sure. If people use it when they're actually writing, like on paper, then thats a little lame.

But if it's online, the I don't care. It isn't really that much harder to read.
I think it's kind of obnoxious when people are like 'UM I CAN'T READ WHAT YOU'RE SAYIN LOLOLOLOL'

Ditto. Especially when people don't capitalize 'Internet'. I realize that SO many people don't so I shouldn't let it bother me but let me tell you it drives me up the fricking wall.

so much! i just use bc when i text but that's the only abbreviation i make, but i dont capitalize I and stuff though

i'm such a grammar freak, i correct my family all the time. it gets them pretty mad...:lmao:

When people use ''anyways'' or ''alot'', it bugs me too. Those words don't even exist. It's ''anyway'' and ''a lot''.

One thing that I do though, is that when I'm writing or typing, I often forget to use ''whom'' when it's proper. It's easier to determine where it's appropriate if you hear it, so when I'm speaking I never forget to use ''whom''.

I'm an english nut. I can't help but get bothered by little things like that.

Even when I'm just talking with my best friend, I correct her grammar. It bugs her so much :p

I am such and English nut. I also correct people all the time. I'm surprised that I still have friends. Luckily, I live with my mom who is also a correcter so we get along pretty well in that regard.

Regard. That's another one. Regards is non-existant.

I'm also really glad that anyways got brought up.

Also, 'me' and 'I' usage and when people don't put '-ly' on their adverbs.

Oh ooh....and when people use 'itch' and 'scratch' interchangably.

Okay, I'm done. For now.

Okay, seriously, I can NOT type like that. It bugs the heck outta me.
I could NOT type a whole post like that. :l

Haha, my brother does that.

I don't think my english is very good, so it would be somewhat hypocritial of me to critique someone elses.
I don't think I've ever used 'whom' when speaking.

It only bothers me when I'm in a picky mood.
But, I'm not picky most of the time.

 You sound just like me.

Sometimes my corrections get me in trouble though. I corrected my English teacher a couple of times, and she really didn't like that.

Oh, and once my Social Studies teacher was pronouncing the word ''superfluous'' with no emphasis on ''per'', and when I corrected him, it started a full-out grammar battle between us.

Sometimes.
I used to write like that all the time. Then I started bugging myself with it XD

My friend says this all the time:
Nething.
In texts in Msn...in everything. I always think she said. [knee thing] I always look at it and think it sounds like that...it annoys me and I wanna throw the phone across the room. I wish she would just put anything...it has one more letter and I could tell what she is saying. Other than that it doesn't annoy me as bad. It kinda does when people say u and r. But usually I just ignore it.

That's such a fun word, too. It's unfortunate that such a good word is being wasted on terrible pronunciation.
