"It all started with a whopping price error…” 10/24 The Perfect Storm of Opportunity

Another awesome installment--loved it!!:thumbsup2

How great that you were able to use the extra magic hours--after all, I believe you deserved them, it wasn't your fault your last trip was cut short. You have been through enough.:flower3:

I was glad we got in too. I don't think anyone who knew our whole story would ever begrudge us admittance that morning. Unfortunately computers are not ususally very understanding.:lmao:

We have not seen LMA yet, but next time for sure. Which will be in under 3 weeks!!:dance3: I just booked a very last minute trip for 6/5. We have never done this last minute before, but I got an email from an owner at WH recently who had a week open and he was offering an insanely low rate for the week. I had a hard time hitting the enter button too, but financially we're doing well right now and so it works out perfect. And no, I'm not an owner at WH, we just think it's a great value. :)

Wow just 3 weeks! That's awsome. I hope you have a great time.

Yea for a new installment! :yay: That's awesome that you were able to get in for EMH. It would have been a shame to have to stand there waiting for that long. Glad they were able to find your DD's flip flop! You guys really covered the big 3 (and then some)! And you get to sleep in tomorrow, awesome! :thumbsup2

I don't know if I could have stood there for a whole hour watching people walk in ahead of me. I'm glad we were able to get in.

Wow!! I think I would have been excited for my mom to offer to get me a new pair of shoes!! That is so funny that she wanted her old flip flop.:lmao:

I know. I though for sure that offering new ones would make her happy but she loved the old comfy broken in ones.

Awesome that you got in for extra magic hour, you cheater. Just kidding, you deserved it after all you had been through. My DH would have been the one who would have wanted to wait so as not to be dishonest, and I would have been the one dragging him through the turnstiles. I love how you described it with the sirens and all. :rotfl: I know you hear it a lot, but you are such a good writer. Does it make you nervous every time you write an installment that you will have to live up to your previous installments? I remember a couple of people telling me I was funny, and I kept thinking that they were going to hate my next installment because it may not be as entertaining as the previous one.

I am always intimidated everytime I try to write a new installment. I'm always sure that I can't do it. Once I get going it gets a little easier though.

What really has me petrified is the though of writing second trip report.

Next time we get an opportunity to go I am hoping it is a little smoother and relaxing. It is unlikely I will ever score another price error deal and I certainly hope I never have to deal with the death of loved one while on vacation again. If I get my wish for a nice vacation without all the drama will anyone want to read about it?

I love the LMA show as well. I didn't think it would be as entertaining for me, but it was awesome. I am glad that you got so much done that you got to go back and relax!! I love getting everything done in the mornings!!

Mornings are a great time for getting a lot accomplished in a short amount of time. Next time I think I would like to switch things up a bit and try sleeping in and staying until the parks close and see how that works for us. My kids are older now, DD will be at least 11 before we get another opportunity so I think we can handle the later hours. It might work for us. If not, we can always switch back to mornings.

Ok, time for me to chime in! You are so amazing! :worship: To be able to do all of this after your loss:hug: I have no words. Your children are very lucky.

I am SOOOO glad you guys got in for EMH! I would have felt the same way as you!

I am also super jealous! ToT is my FAV! Three times!!! I have yet to get on RnRC, looking forward to it. Thank goodness they found her flip flop! I remember when I was about 8 I thought I lost my favorite head band and how I let out a sigh of relief when I found it! lol

I do have to say I LOVE Star Tours. I remember this ride fondly from my trips to DL as a kid. I am sad they are changing it. :sad2:

Cant wait to here about your next day. Yea for sleeping in! :cheer2:

Awesome that you were able to do the EMH. You guys deserved it.:goodvibes

We finally rode TSM for the first time on our trip in April. We used the FP both times as I am not sure I would have been able to wait 1hr. We went by there some times posted were 110 minutes.:scared1:

Great update. How great of the CM's to find your daughter's flip-flop. She was obviously missing it terribly. You were lucky - you barely missed a beat!

You sure had a packed day and I'm glad you got to do TSM. Great idea to eat in the bleachers. Such a fun show! I saw it this past trip and I took about 100 pictures. Well, maybe not that many, but a lot! :rotfl:

Thanks. It was pretty great to ride ToT so many times in such a short amount of time.

Funny how there are some items that you have that you just can't live without. I have an eyelash curler that I bought when I was about 14. I still use it today, and would hate to lose it because they are not made the same way anymore. In fact, I buy new eyelash curlers, just to get a new cushion thingy for my old curler, then throw the new curler away...

I'm really glad we were able to get in. I couldn't believe that it didn't even occur to me when we delayed our visit by one day to check if it was EMH the next day. In hindsight it worked out for the best since we got to take part in the EMHs.

I enjoy TSM quite a bit but would likely never wait an hour to do it again.

I see that you are writing a new trip report. I have to check it out.

It was a really nice day for us. As much as people feel that the disney dining is so much a part of their disney experience I have to say I did'nt feel deprived at all by having the occasional packed lunch. It was kind of nice to just play it by ear and eat when you want. It really let us focus on the attractions rather than where and when we would eat.

Great report. Sorry about your Dad. You just never know. Can't wait to hear the ending.

Thanks for reading.

You shouldn't have too long to wait for the ending our saga is almost done.

Funny, when I started this report in early January I thought I would have it done in a month or so...:rolleyes1

You are completely forgiven for your EMH transgression! Given the trip you had last time, you all deserve it. Glad you got to have a little extra fun.

So, I've been reading your report for a while now. I figure it's about time I let you know how much I've enjoyed reading it. I found your report about a month ago when I signed up for the boards and read all of it. Then, I got busy with work and have finally caught up again. Now, to catch up on comments I kept meaning to write. :)

First, I do want to express my condolences for your loss. I cried when I read that part and I don't really cry for much.

Dole whip floats and churros are a must for me on any Disney visit. I can understand you not liking them, though, since there isn't really anything that special about them when I think about it. I think part of it for me is the memories of eating them on each trip with my family. Something about them just screams Disney to me.

I know what you mean about AK feeling different than the other parks. It just feels more relaxed and I think I could really enjoy just walking around the park without riding anything. Lion King is definitely a favorite show too!

I don't think you all getting into DHS early was cheating. It was well-deserved magic for your family, "extra magic" even. ;)

I can't wait until the next installment. Your trip report was the first one I've read and it has really helped with the waiting for our next trip in December. It has also increased the anticipation and inspired me to write a trip report of my own. We'll see if I ever get around to starting a pre-trip report.

All caught up, 31 pages in 1 sitting!

Great TR!

Great report. So sorry about the loss of your Dad.

A&BMama, I hope you are okay!

I have enjoyed reading your trip report up until now, and I'm wondering what happens next!

Thanks! I hate to rationalize since, in the strictest sense, it was wrong to go in early but I felt like we deserved a little bit of extra pixie dust after everything we had been through.

Sounds like a lovely DHS day. You got in early and did everything you wanted too.

It was an awsome day. I can't wait to go back again.
