"It all started with a whopping price error…” 10/24 The Perfect Storm of Opportunity

The only reason we get to go alone is that my FIL is taking the big kids on a trip to Washington D.C. and other places. They will be gone for a least 2 weeks, and my mom will be taking the little monkey boy for the time we are gone!! I am so excited!!

Are you planning to write a TR?

Chick-Fil-A is the greatest! Its what brings me home when I travel north! I can't live without it!

The iced tea maker is so simple. All you do is fill it to the water line, dump it into the maker add your tea bags and add ice to the container. You can even add your sugar with the ice so it has a chance to melt while brewing. It takes about 10 minutes and comes out great every time! You can also use other types of bagged tea in it. I have made iced sleepy time tea in the past and the kids loved it!

I am definitly going to make a point to try Chick-A-Fil next time we are there. Do you know if there are any close to Disney?

There are actually about 20 in the Orlando area! There is one in the Airport....thats what the website says!

I have a confession to make. I don’t like beer. Many of you are thinking “so what.”

The problem is I am Canadian.

There are two things Canadians take great pride in; beer and hockey.

I’m not fond of either. I am usually pretty quiet about this fact since I love Canada and would hate to have my citizenship revoked.

I agree with you on both. i do not like beer at all and i can take hockey or leave it, but would prefer to leave it ;).

I've just read your TR. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad.

I'm awaiting the nest installment. :thumbsup2

There is one in the airport (MCO). It's in the food court that has the big fish tank. I like their chicken sandwich and they also have waffle fries. The quality has been good every time I have gone to a Chick-Fil-A. We have them here in my area, but I don't go as often as I'd like. The closest one to me is inside the mall food court, so it's not that convenient.

I love Chick-Fil-A. One thing to note: they are closed on Sundays. The owners (I believe) are Christian and that is one of their values they will not bend on.

I enjoyed this update. I loved how you could be flexible enough to change your plans like that! I have not been to anything in the area other than WDW property (aside from the airport and one quick Walmart trip).

Thank you so much for writing this trip report. I have really enjoyed it. Nicely done!

Thanks for sharing I've really enjoyed reading your TR. I'm so sorry about your Dad.

Hellllooooo?????? Where have you been????????? I have been waiting to get an update, but alas there is none. I thought maybe I just wasn't getting the emails. I guess you are too busy for all your DIS friends. That's ok, we still like you!! You know I am just kidding with all this, right? All I really want is to know how you are doing, and where you have been. and possibly, what you made for dinner last night since I haven't been hearing about any food here on your TR.:rotfl::cheer2::cheer2:

I miss you too!! I hope everything is going okay for you!! ( and that you are still enjoying the sweet tea!!:lmao:) Really though, I hope you are okay and we hear more from you soon!!

Since I spent the last 2 days reading your TR instead of working, I had to say HI :flower3:

Love your report so far. Your family is beautiful. I'm so sorry about your Dad, and in awe of your ability to get right back to the world after everything was handled.

Can't wait to hear more!!

:rolleyes1 Yep! What they said!!! I just found your report yesterday and I was hooked right from the start!

So sorry to hear about your dad  but it's so nice to hear the happy ending! I'm planning a therapeutic Disney trip of sorts coming up in June. I can't wait for the next installment!

By the way it's so funny hearing about the different alcohol laws out there! Being from Louisiana - we probably have some of the most liberal alcohol laws in the world I'm sure!!! You can buy anything from Beer and Wine to Vodka to Tequila in our grocery stores and gas stations!!!! And don't EVEN get me started on the DRIVE THROUGH daiquiri shops!!! Ha ha! No joke! :rotfl:

I'm right there along with those who are reading your TR instead of working....:lmao: but your report is amazing! I am sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad 7 years ago, so I can feel for you.

Would it be ok for me to mention your TR in my PTR?? I think some of my Dis friends would really like it. :goodvibes

Just caught up with your last update. We just returned last week (boohoo).

Just for future reference if DD ever gets sick there are some nice Urgent Care Centers. How do I know???????

On our first morning there, DD6 starts complaining that her ear feels funny. I am hoping it was from our late night plane ride.:worship: But by the time breakfast is over she is crying that her ear hurts so much. The nice CM at AKL gave us directions to the nearest clinic and we had a short wait before the doctor saw us. And she had an ear infection in both ears. Ouch:scared1:

This time of year it's hard to get away from hockey at my house. Seems there is at least one game a night that DH and DS are watching.

Next time we go I would like to try to do a little more sight seeing.

Thanks for reading. It was really a bittersweet time. It was great to have a wonderful time sharing the experience of WDW with my family but also so sad because of what had happened. I am truly glad we went back though.
