It All Started with a Massive Price Glitch - Aulani Nov. 2014 PTR ~ Updated 12/6 - TR

I was very behind!

I'm so glad that this new change has been good for everyone! Sounds like you've been able to relax a bit more, taking more time for yourself by being able to read. That's really great! And i'm happy that Izzy is beoming more of a Daddy's girl. So sweet!

I love that you're totally optimistic about Dug's work conference during this Hawaii trip and glad that his travel schedule is better than you anticipated.

I've never seen children in first class before, mostly businessman/women and couples. So it will be interesting to see their reaction to a toddler being in first class!

I had to look up what Malasadas were...you'd think i'd know since it's a Portuguese baked good and my area is heavily populated by Portuguese.

Ooh what fun that character breakfast will be. Great start to a vacation!

Oh my goodness, I love that she says, "I'm going to Hawaii!" How cute!

Woah you guys are totally packing in the schefule. Willl be fun too see how much of it you actually get done.

I love that they provide free child care! I know that you can't use it because she's not 3, but do you know if it's by appointment only? Or can you drop off at any time and pick up at any time?

It seems that everyone does Costco runs when they visit Hawaii. Guess i'll have to keep that in mind as it's the 'thing' to do!:rotfl:

That French toast sounds absolutely amazing!

The catamaran cruise sounds fun and sounds like it's worth the price for what you get.

Wednesdays plans sound super nice and relaxing! You'll probably really enjoy that day.

Aw love the pony ride! Yay for a local rate too. Sweet!

I hope you're able to get some great family sunset shots on the beach. :):)

Sorry I'm so behind. I had a baby about 3 weeks ago so the DIS took a backseat.

I like how you did a daily update per post. Must help keep you organized!

All your days sound great. You have really got everything covered! :thumbsup2

Ah, perfect! I will look for it (or something similar) today when I head there today! Thanks!
Good luck, hope you can track one down! :goodvibes

I'm really impressed with all of the local attractions you have found to visit! The trip to Aulani I had planned in my head didn't get much further than the lazy river at the resort. :rotfl2:
Ha, yeah, we're not big on the sitting-on-the-beach type of vacations, so we like to get out and do things. And who knows when I'll get back to Hawaii - I want to see things I can't elsewhere - and I can swim elsewhere. That's just me, though. And I am looking forward to that lazy river for sure! :thumbsup2

I was very behind!
No problem, the DIS is tough to keep up on! :goodvibes

I'm so glad that this new change has been good for everyone! Sounds like you've been able to relax a bit more, taking more time for yourself by being able to read. That's really great! And i'm happy that Izzy is beoming more of a Daddy's girl. So sweet!
So far, so good! Dug told me today that he's about 1/10th as stressed as he used to be. Lack of commute and better working environment make a big difference. :thumbsup2

I love that you're totally optimistic about Dug's work conference during this Hawaii trip and glad that his travel schedule is better than you anticipated.
Yeah, I'm trying. I admit I am still disappointed and sad that the timing worked out like it did. But I think we are making the best of it. And I'm trying to be excited about solo time with Izzy - I do enjoy it, of course, it's just not the way I'd pictured this trip. Especially after leaving Dug at home the last two WDW trips, I really was looking forward to the time together. But it will be okay. The schedule's a bit crazier than initially planned, but I think it will work for us.

I've never seen children in first class before, mostly businessman/women and couples. So it will be interesting to see their reaction to a toddler being in first class!
I'm totally picturing Izzy sitting in her carseat in First Class (row 2!), munching on toddler snacks, and waving and saying, "Hi!!" to all the boarding passengers. :lmao: I am hoping she behaves and, if she doesn't, I'm hoping my fellow passengers are all suckers for cute toddlers! :rotfl2:

I had to look up what Malasadas were...you'd think i'd know since it's a Portuguese baked good and my area is heavily populated by Portuguese.
Ha, yes, I guess I should have defined them. I didn't know what they were until I started reading Aulani TR's and everyone talked about them. Basically extra-delicious donut-like things, is my understanding. Mmmmm.....

Ooh what fun that character breakfast will be. Great start to a vacation!
Gotta get a dose of Minnie for Izzy right away! ::MinnieMo

Oh my goodness, I love that she says, "I'm going to Hawaii!" How cute!
It cracks us up. She's rehearsing, I guess.

Woah you guys are totally packing in the schefule. Willl be fun too see how much of it you actually get done.
I know - it's pretty wild. I hope we get to do all of the things we really want to do, though.

I love that they provide free child care! I know that you can't use it because she's not 3, but do you know if it's by appointment only? Or can you drop off at any time and pick up at any time?
I think that, unless they are at capacity, you can drop off and pick up at any time. I know they have some special programs that people line up early in the morning to sign up for, but that's not required for the free play.

It seems that everyone does Costco runs when they visit Hawaii. Guess i'll have to keep that in mind as it's the 'thing' to do!:rotfl:
We just got our shiny new Costco cards in the mail! :cool1:

That French toast sounds absolutely amazing!
I know, I had to go there just to try that!

The catamaran cruise sounds fun and sounds like it's worth the price for what you get.
Yeah, I hope it works out well. Hoping Izzy does okay with it. One of those times where I'd love to be able to bring her to the kids' club, but oh well.

Wednesdays plans sound super nice and relaxing! You'll probably really enjoy that day.
Yep, that's a pretty free day if I ever saw one! :rotfl:

Aw love the pony ride! Yay for a local rate too. Sweet!
I keep asking Izzy if she wants to ride a horsey and she is very certain that she does. Hope she's right!

I hope you're able to get some great family sunset shots on the beach. :):)
Me too! At least we do not have to decide if we're buying Photopass until the end - no pre-purchase discount at Aulani. So, we'll see if we can get anything good. I guess it's kind-of weird in that they don't have PP with the characters. :confused3 We'll see if it's worthwhile, but if we can get some nice sunset shots, it will be.

Sorry I'm so behind. I had a baby about 3 weeks ago so the DIS took a backseat.
party: Wow, congratulations on your new baby!!!! :goodvibes I had no idea! A new little Disney fan! :cool1: No worries on keeping up - you've got your hands full!

I like how you did a daily update per post. Must help keep you organized!
Yes, it really is helping. I've been making reservations and such while writing out the plans, so it's been very helpful!

All your days sound great. You have really got everything covered! :thumbsup2
Thanks! I think things are coming together fairly well.

Dug is back with us and we're headed to the North Shore! :cool1:

We'll be on the road bright and early so that we can hit Ted's Bakery for breakfast. And, of course, what's a breakfast without some of their famous pie? :rotfl:

We'll check out nearby Sunset Beach and/or any other beaches that catch our fancy along the drive. This is the time of year that there are very big waves, so we might be able to watch some impressive surfing. We'll need to stop at Turtle Beach and see some turtles. And we want to pick up some of the fresh fruit from the roadside vendors. I'm sure there's more - I need to refresh my memory on the points of interest in my book. But this is a pretty relaxed morning. We just want to drive along the North Shore and take in the sights.

We'll stop at Turtle Bay Resort. Dug's sister insists we go there, as it's been featured in many movies, I guess. We watched one recently - Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Looks like a nice place. We are planning to have lunch at their restaurant there called Ola. I guess you can either dine in an open-air dining room or with your feet in the sand on the beach. Both sound nice. It gets moderate reviews, food-wise, but it's lunch - I think we'll be fine.

After checking out the resort and having lunch, we'll hope that Izzy gets her nap in the car while we drive around. No particular agenda, just whatever we want to see.

On the way back, I have a couple of food stops planned. I think they are both located near each-other. One is dinner at Hula Dog - a unique hot dog place. The other is dessert from Matsumoto's Shave Ice, a Hawaiian must-do. Yummy!

We hope to get back to the resort early enough to enjoy the lazy river and slides for a bit before they close at 8pm. This will most likely be trading off while Izzy sleeps.

So, I don't think it's too intense of a day. We'll be out for a good chunk of it, but not on a tight agenda. Just enjoying Oahu. :cloud9:

A couple side notes on the trip:

1.) Just saved another $4 on our car rental with Costco! :cool1: I know, it's only $4, but going in the right direction. We're down to $225 for a full-size now.

2.) I about had a heart attack the other day when I logged into the My Disney Experience site (Disneyworld's) and saw that our Aulani reservation was showing as 1 day too early! I knew that it had been correct previously, so I went to the Aulani DVC check-in site and looked it up and it was still correct there. I breathed a small sigh of relief, hoping it was just a glitch in their system. I asked my DVC rental person to confirm and she did! We are fine and the dates in MDE were wrong - that's really only intended for WDW - the DVC info takes precedence for this. She also was able to confirm that we will stay in the same room, despite our reservation being split in two when we applied the 2-night-free deal, so that is a relief! :thumbsup2

I'm loving your PTR, and can't wait to read your TR! We went to Hawaii last year with our son, who was almost 25 months at the time. We had a 1-hr flight from Ohio to Chicago and then a 9-hr flight to Honolulu. He did amazingly well, so I bet your daughter will do well too! Of course, he had already flown 4 times to Orlando (2-hr flight) in his short life, so he was a pro! Everyone thought he was cute, and no one complained when he did get a bit whiny just before he fell asleep for a nap. We had a large bag of things to occupy him, but it was the ipad loaded with movies that really kept him busy.

We are going back next year. I can't wait to hear about all your experiences - we may have to try a few!

That is great that Dug is getting back so early! I think your plan of trying to tire out Izzy makes a ton of sense so she is in a good mood for when Dug gets back

Also, spending some time back at Aulani that first day sounds wonderful - really good idea to try and get the PP pictures at sunset, etc. Do you have to like book that or are the photographers just hanging out on the beach and you wait for one to be free?

And doing the buffet and then pool time is probably a great idea too - that plus a little touring you will feel like you got a bit done but not go too crazy as I am sure Dug will be a little spent after a whole week of team building and stuff (at least with my job those types of events are tiring as it isn't just the events during the day but you are expected to participate in all the evening socializing/networking so makes for long days)

Saturday

Sounds like a fun day in the North Shore just taking it in. Hope you enjoy that resort and you don't feel like you did something not great just because Dug's sister insisted. I mean, if the worst case scenario is you eat some OK food while having your feet in the sand, that isn't too bad :thumbsup2

Glad you are getting Matsumotos in and while Dug is there too. I know next to nothing about Hawaii but know that is a "must do" - I love regular snow cones so that place really appeals to me - especially some of their more exotic flavors!

So glad Dug can come back and re-join you in Hawaii! Better than nothing, right?

Keep on checking Costco...I remember the rates continued to drop the closer I got to my travel dates.

I'm loving your PTR, and can't wait to read your TR!
:welcome: and thank you! :goodvibes

Oh, wow, almost exactly the same age as Izzy will be for the trip!

We had a 1-hr flight from Ohio to Chicago and then a 9-hr flight to Honolulu. He did amazingly well, so I bet your daughter will do well too! Of course, he had already flown 4 times to Orlando (2-hr flight) in his short life, so he was a pro!
Yes, Izzy's been on the 3-hour flight to MCO three times and also similar length flights to NYC and Portland. This one will be about 4 hours, then 6 hours, so definitely her longest.

Everyone thought he was cute, and no one complained when he did get a bit whiny just before he fell asleep for a nap. We had a large bag of things to occupy him, but it was the ipad loaded with movies that really kept him busy.
Yep, we'll have a toy and snack bag loaded up for her. I want to get her used to her iPad headphones again - she enjoyed them for a bit on one flight, but hasn't wanted them near her since - but she LOVES watching TV now and I think having some fun things on the iPad would hold her attention for a good chunk of time at this age.

We are going back next year. I can't wait to hear about all your experiences - we may have to try a few!

Yay for going back! :cool1: I will definitely share everything I can about the experiences we have! :goodvibes

Hoping it works out well, at least! :thumbsup2

My understanding from other reports is that they are just hanging around. I know that you can book "real" photo shoots, but we just had one at home and are just hoping for a few nice ones with Photopass. We'll see. I might try it one night with just me and Izzy while Dug is gone too.

Totally right, I'm sure he will be exhausted from all the day-through-evening activity. I told him to get some good sleep on the flights - hoping he can do that.

I think it will be a nice stop. I purposely planned lunch there because it gives us something useful to do there and we can maybe just look around a bit, but not spend a lot of time.

Glad you are getting Matsumotos in and while Dug is there too. I know next to nothing about Hawaii but know that is a "must do" - I love regular snow cones so that place really appeals to me - especially some of their more exotic flavors!
I'm not a big snow cone person, but I know that this is a "must do" for many, so I'm willing to give it a try! :thumbsup2

So glad Dug can come back and re-join you in Hawaii! Better than nothing, right?
Indeed! Especially after the initial impression that he'd have to miss the trip or lose the job offer. At least he gets half a vacation now, I guess. :confused3

Keep on checking Costco...I remember the rates continued to drop the closer I got to my travel dates.
Will do! I actually just checked tonight when I read your comment and saved another $3. :cool1:

Last day is already upon us! :sad1:

This morning starts off early for me, but Dug and Izzy are welcome to sleep in or relax at the resort. I, however, will be off to Diamond Head in the wee hours. I believe it opens at 6 and I will try to be there near that time or at least fairly early on. Luckily, it's the weekend, so hoping traffic won't be an issue. I'd like to be able to park easily and not have it be overly crowded or hot. I'm very much looking forward to this solo outing! :hyper: I lived in Rapid City, SD for a few years and LOVED hiking up Harney Peak in Custer State Park (highest peak in Black Hills, SD). I was pretty fast too - we'll see if I'm still in "peak" shape. :lmao:

After my hike, I'll stop by the Diamond Head Market for some of their yummy blueberry scones. I'll bring those back to Aulani and we can have those and leftover fruit for breakfast.

The rest of the morning is open for enjoying the resort. If we haven't done it yet, we might want to play the Menehune Trail game (think Epcot's Kim Possible, etc.) I think Izzy and I will try it during the week, but I'm sure Dug will want to do it too (he's the one who wanted to do Kim Possible back in 2009).

We will have to check out of our room by 11am. I just saw a thread here the other day that indicated there is no such thing as late check-out when you stay on DVC points, so I guess Izzy will have to nap in her stroller. :sad2: But not until after brunch! :cool1:

I figured that she would probably want to say goodbye to Minnie, so we have an 11am Makahiki reservation. Yes, same place as our first day breakfast. 11am is the last character breakfast spot before it switches to lunch (not a character meal). Hoping we can get the best of both worlds!

Then it's stroller naptime for Izzy and pool/slide/lazy river switch off time for us. Depending on how hot it is and such, we may need to keep Izzy in the departure lounge or something, we'll see.

Once we're all refreshed, it's family pool time and maybe we'll grab some Dole Whips (but way in advance of our airport departure :rotfl: inside joke on my last TR...) Once we're done enjoying the pool (sob, we have to leave it!), we'll use the departure lounge to get cleaned up and changed.

Once that's done, we have a 5pm dinner reservation at Ama Ama. Hoping for a nice table at the edge to enjoy the sunset while we eat dinner. We had hoped to do this meal earlier in the week, but due to Dug's travel, our last day it is! :goodvibes

We'll leave for the airport around 7pm or so. Return our car. Flight is just after 10pm. I'm thinking we'll have Izzy sleeping in her stroller until we have to board, then move her to the carseat. Unless I can manage to put her in her carseat, put that in the stroller, then carry her in her carseat onto the plane and buckle it in. Seems difficult and potentially dangerous, though. We'll see. Hoping she's just so tired that we can move her around and she'll go back to sleep.

Technically, that's the end of this day, but our flight is overnight, so I'll cover the next day now too. We have a layover at LAX in the early AM (6-ish), then back to Minnesota, arriving a bit after noon. Really hoping that Izzy can sleep through the majority of the flights, given the timing. Keep in mind, arriving at Noon Central is 8am Aulani time, so it will feel like morning. And, remember, still in First Class, so hoping we can all get some nice sleep.

We both plan to take the full day off work, so we can recover the rest of the day. Not sure how Izzy's going to do with the time change back. I'm thinking maybe we skip her nap, assuming she slept "late", then just attempt to put her to bed close to her normal time and hope for the best. Back to work and daycare the next day.

Leaving for this trip 3 weeks from tomorrow! :cool1: Can't believe it! I've gotta start making packing lists and such soon! I'll keep you posted! :goodvibes

Sounds like a great last day - hope things work out with your hike and you have good weather, etc. ... and are still in "peak" condition ;)

I know you wanted the dinner to be earlier but might make for a really nice "departure" event - just relax and enjoy the setting before you leave

... and if you wind up with Dole Whips while you are leaving again I will be disappointed :rotfl:

There is a nice lounge that you can use after check out to change or relax, it's near the pool. It will likely be quiet enough in there for Izzy to nap.

Hi! I've been following your pre-trip report! We just went to Aulani in August and LOVED it! I'm glad your husband will get back earlier than you originally thought.

I do have to tell you that it was your report that got me in trouble. I decided I'd watch airfare for a few days just to see if I could catch a glitch. :rotfl: After days of looking I realized it was probably not going to happen, so I just bit the bullet and booked a trip to Maui for next summer. I never would have even looked at air if I hadn't read your pre-trip report. So, I thank you, but my husband might not. :lmao:

Can't wait to hear all about your trip! It is coming up fast! :cool1:

Oh that lunch at Turtle Bay Beach sounds perfect...eating with your feet in the sand!

Have heard about the Shave Ice on Mark's TR. Sounds good to me!

What a nice way to end your last day with some 'you' time at Diamond Head...AND ending it the way you began your trip with a Character breakfast. Perfect!

I actually think you really should have rushed dole whips again, in homage to your last trip :rotfl: In fact, every trip from now on should include Drive-by Dole Whips!

All caught up! It all sounds wonderful! I can't wait to read the actual trip report! Have a blast!

Two weeks from now we'll be approaching Hawaii!! :cool1: (Sorry for the delayed responses, I was on a work trip to AZ this week and just got back!)

Sounds like a great last day - hope things work out with your hike and you have good weather, etc. ... and are still in "peak" condition ;)
Thanks, you'll be happy to know that I'm still in "peak" condition! :rotfl: I hiked up to the peak of Hayden Butte while I was in Tempe - and it was quite a climb and others were panting pretty hard, but I did okay and had a great time. :thumbsup2

I know you wanted the dinner to be earlier but might make for a really nice "departure" event - just relax and enjoy the setting before you leave
Yes, hoping that's how it goes!

... and if you wind up with Dole Whips while you are leaving again I will be disappointed :rotfl:
Haha, at least Leshaface won't be... :rotfl2:

There is a nice lounge that you can use after check out to change or relax, it's near the pool. It will likely be quiet enough in there for Izzy to nap.
Is that the lounge next to the departure lounge? Sounds good. Thanks.

Subbing in! Can't wait to read!
:welcome: Good to see you here!

Hi! I've been following your pre-trip report! We just went to Aulani in August and LOVED it! I'm glad your husband will get back earlier than you originally thought.
:welcome: Good to have you here - glad you loved Aulani! :goodvibes

I do have to tell you that it was your report that got me in trouble. I never would have even looked at air if I hadn't read your pre-trip report. So, I thank you, but my husband might not. :lmao:
Haha, glad I could help motivate you to get back to Hawaii! :lmao: Hope your hubby gets on board.

Can't wait to hear all about your trip! It is coming up fast! :cool1:
Yes, only a couple weeks to go! :cool1:

Oh that lunch at Turtle Bay Beach sounds perfect...eating with your feet in the sand!
I know, doesn't that sound great?! Even if the service isn't great (per reviews), it will hopefully be a good experience.

Have heard about the Shave Ice on Mark's TR. Sounds good to me!
Yep, seems like we should give it a try!

What a nice way to end your last day with some 'you' time at Diamond Head...AND ending it the way you began your trip with a Character breakfast. Perfect!
Yeah, I was hoping to do Diamond Head earlier in the trip to take advantage of the time zone change, but better than nothing. And I'm sure Izzy won't object to seeing Minnie again. That said, if we don't think it's worth it after having done it once, we could cancel. We'll see.

I actually think you really should have rushed dole whips again, in homage to your last trip :rotfl: In fact, every trip from now on should include Drive-by Dole Whips!
Well, win-win. No matter what we do, someone will be pleased! :rotfl:

All caught up! It all sounds wonderful! I can't wait to read the actual trip report! Have a blast!
Can't wait to go on the trip and then write it! :goodvibes

With less than two weeks to go, it's time to turn my attention to things like packing. One of the fun pre-trip things to do is see what appropriate attire Izzy has in her wardrobe. Of course, this is a bit different than her WDW line-up of character shirts and such. Here's what I've found in her closet (or recently bought):

We'll start with things for pool time. I got a couple pairs of clearance shoes before our August WDW trip. Didn't end up using them (no time to swim!), but I think they will still fit her on this trip. One pair of jelly-type sandals and one pair of water shoes. I've heard the pool deck can get hot, so the sandals might be good there. And I've heard that beaches can be rocky and water shoes might come in handy for some of our explorations:

Izzy currently has at least two swimsuits that fit her. I think she might have 1-2 more, but I'll have to double-check. These are the two I know for sure:

We also have at least two swim diapers in her current size. I think we might have a third, so will have to check (all the re-usable kind). (In case you're wondering, she is showing signs of potty-training readiness, but we're waiting until after the trip to really encourage it - don't want to have a newly potty-trained toddler on a LONG flight and all).

She has two swim cover-ups, Ariel and Tink:

I'll also bring her sun hat and plenty of sunscreen. I can't remember, but she might have a rash guard type of swimsuit, so that would come in handy midday too - I need to check (she's in bed, so I can't go digging through her closet right now).

Another pool-related thing I might bring is her Swimways Baby Spring Float (w/canopy). She has not used this for a while and didn't really love it back when she did use it, but I read a suggestion about having little ones ride in something like this on the lazy river. Seems like a good idea, as they don't have toddler inner tubes, and this float is like a tube with a seat/legholes in it. If she's happy to sit on my lap in the tube, there's no issue. But, if she's struggling, it might be a safer option. So, I'll probably toss it in a bag.

I started a separate thread asking pool-thing questions and got some good advice there. I may buy a Puddle Jumper lifejacket/pool float for Izzy. I was thinking about it already, but sounds like a good option. She's never worn a lifejacket and I don't know if she will need one, but the last time I took her to the neighborhood pool this summer, she got very bold about jumping in from the side of the pool. I caught her each time and it was fine, but I'm a tad bit worried that she could get away from me with this big pool area, especially when Dug is out of town. And I know that they have free lifejackets, but I've heard a lot of toddlers find them uncomfortable and are unhappy vs. they seem to like the Puddle Jumpers. And, even if I don't use it at Aulani (she is a few pounds under the weight minimum), I'm sure we'll use it in the future. Not sure if I'll get one in advance and pack it or get one at the Target there if I think we need it.

I also will probably order a waterproof pouch to put our stuff in. Room key, maybe phones or other cards, etc. I don't want to bring much to the pool, but the pouches are cheap and can't hurt to have. Also, I was thinking it could be handy just to keep the phones from falling in the sand on the beach or something when we are out exploring off-site. I do plan to keep the stuff I bring to the pool pretty minimal, though. I shouldn't even need my phone, as my dad offered to let me borrow his waterproof camera for the trip and taking pictures is likely all I'd be using my phone for anyhow.

But back to the clothes and pictures! :rotfl:

I ordered Izzy a couple new shirts the other day with a nice JCP coupon:

The surf one will be great for a North Shore day. The other one just seemed like a nice shirt for the warm island weather. So, any day really. Both can be paired with shorts or skirts - again, will have to see what she has in her closet. Might need more shorts, but I'm not sure.

Nana and Papa gave her a couple outfits for her birthday:

Both long shirts/sorta dresses (?) and they gave shorts to wear under each. Again, these would be nice any day of the trip.

She already had a couple other appropriate shirts, one of which she wore all the way back in WDW in Dec. 2013 and it still fits, the other a relatively new one:

Will pair those with shorts too.

Not sure about these two. One is an old hand-me-down dress I found in her closet. She has never worn it, but it seemed island-y. The other is the custom Minnie shirt her daycare provider made for her. Could be good for meeting Minnie. I feel bad, though - maybe someone here can help me - part of the iron-on letters are starting to come off. Izzy has not even worn the shirt yet - but I did wash it (inside out). Maybe I shouldn't have? I don't know. Can this be fixed and how so? Anyway, here's the clothes:

So, I think we have enough for most of the trip. Maybe I'll try to find a few more things or maybe we'll just go with some non-Hawaii-specific things from her closet.

Finally, we need pajamas. I had to order the set of two luau/hula pajamas on clearance that were suggested to me:

Very cute! The one has ukeleles on the shorts, by the way. Of course, we might need to bring some doggy/kitty/Minnie/Buzz jammies too, as Izzy has specific requirements some nights. :rotfl2:

So, that's where I'm at with the packing-planning. I need to make a full list and start gathering things up soon! :cool1:

Ooh I love the little dresses from nana and papa. Cute! Actually all the Hawaiian stuff is cute!!

Lol at the specific pj requirements. Caden does that too.

And I'm totally ignoring potty training signals too cause I don't want to have a newly potty trained kid at Disney world. Haha. I get ya!

wow, packing for such a trip sounds like such an undertaking!

With regards to pool things, we have for both our older kids these floaties that we love. Honestly, not sure if they are "puddle jumpers" but taking a quick look at google images shows that either they are or something super similar. They just make it so much easier for little kids to keep their heads up above water. So definitely suggest that. Not sure the official rules but even having something like that on might help with the lazy river too

The new pajamas are super cute!

Might be a silly question but does it get cool at all at night there? I know some "hot" places still get cool/cold at night - might want to think of a sweater/sweatshirt or two

Love the clothes! (And the PJs ;) I'm so excited for your trip! You're going to have a blast!
