I have learned through our trips at WDW if I am feeling overheated to not try to power through, get some water and get out of the sun so that is what I did. Bill had no problem with me going toTortuga Tavern to just sit down. I could still kind of see what was going on. After it was over I went up to him to see what I had missed. He said at the end of the show Jack came out into the crowd and shook his hand. I would have liked to have gotten a picture of that, oh well next time.
Bill wanted to hear some good old country rhythm so we visited the Country Bears. I know some people think this is corny, old fashioned, and silly. IT IS!! That is why we love it. I wanted to see how the camera would do in the low lighting. As soon as we sat down the camera came out:
I was happy that so many people were there and really into the show. People were clapping and laughing , it was great!!
My crazy fish eye picture:
Our next stop was the Frontierland train station so we could check out Storybook Circus. While we waited for the train I took pictures (shocking I know!!)
Love Disneys light fixtures:
The train came, the accessible car was full, no problem we would wait for the next train. We did this two more times and the other trains were full as well. Here is where the disappointment came in, Bill was upset because if he would have been able bodied we would have been on the train already. That hurts my heart when he thinks like it is his fault. It was getting closer to our ADR time so we decided to just walk out of the park, it was very hot that day and the breeze was just not there.
On our way back through Frontierland this happened:
Major character MOJO!! They were walking to go backstage and as soon as they saw Bill they headed straight for him. It really brought his spirits up after being upset about the train. It seems everything happens for a reason.
We were eating at Bills favorite restaurant, Ohana, so we went to the monorail. Hello Grand Floridian:
Avenger rail? Close up:
We ended up being late to the ADR, but they seated us right away at a two topper table. Many times I request sitting next to Bill so I can help him cut up his food, but on this night I was happy we still got a table. I would gladly hop up and down throughout dinner after fixing his plate. The table they put us at was right next to where the servers came in and out of the back. The sun was shining through the window behind Bill so it was hard to get good pictures of him.
The entertainer Lipoa walked by us and stopped, she had remembered us from our other trips. She sang Happy Birthday to me when Bill surprised me with flowers, the Cinderella Slipper, and jewelry two years prior to this trip. She said she didnt have a set until 7:15pm, they had cut her 6pm set for some reason. Bill and I think it is to turn over the tables quicker. We decided we werent leaving until we saw the show, so take that WDW management, we kept the table LOL.
There was a castmember, Edward, that saw how frustrated I was about not getting a good picture of Bill because of the light, so he helped me out. Introducing Mickey Bill:
Lipoa leid us twice:
Then she brought all the kids over to sing Happy Birthday for Bill, he was so happy. She came back by on her way to the back and we told her thank you and goodbye. She hugged us and thanked us for staying to watch her.
We went to the podium and talked to the manager to tell them how much we appreciated Edward and Lipoa. He talked to us for a couple minutes and we went downstairs to go to the bus stop. At the doors we saw Lipoa again, she was getting more leis. She hugged us again and said to add her on facebook. She is a very sweet lady.
On the way to wait for a bus:
We transferred at DTD. The Boardwalk is so pretty at night:
When we entered our room, the first thing I saw was a manual wheelchair by the balcony doors, Bill and I were both pleased that he could at least get on the balcony. He was too tired to want to go out there and I wanted to go to bed. We were going to Epcot tomorrow.
Next installment How did we miss that??
