The Cast:
Me, 34 Disney obsessed, Shopaholic & extremely clumsy!
Lee (DH), 35 aka the Mad Hatter .
25th September 2009 = Day 18
We woke about 8am this morning, Lee popped down to Captain Cooks for a hot chocolate refill, then we then got showered, dressed and walked over to the Great Ceremonial House for our 10am ADR at Kona Café.
Lee had the Big Kahuna (dont you just love that name
) which was French toast, Bacon, Sausage, Ham, two poached eggs, potato wedges & pancakes with pineapple & macadamia nut butter.
I had decided on my breakfast about a year ago!
I knew I was having Tonga Toast....
The tonga toast was nice but way to big, I struggled to eat half. We also shared a French press pot of Kona coffee and Lee also had a Lilikoi juice which is a mix of guave, passion fruit & pineapple. I tasted it, it was lovely and bought back childhood memories of Um Bungo.
We paid up (I havent noted how much it cost, sorry) and went out to the bus stop, we decided whilst having breakfast that we would head over to Hollywood Studios to try and have one last go on Toy Story Mania. We took a few pics of the entrance to the Poly on route to the bus stop.
We didnt wait long for the bus but soon as we arrived we realised that everyone appeared to be heading to DHS today, it was absolutely heaving! However as we were there we decided to go in and see what the queue was like anyway, it was showing 90 mins and no fast passes left!!!!
We headed straight back out again and got the boat over to the Swan/Dolphin, we walked through the resort to Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf. We only played one round of mini golf as it was so hot today I thought I was going to melt!
Lee was on fire today, he got 5 hole in ones within the first 7 holes
and finished with a score of 40 which was 13 under par for the course and 6 less than the current course record.
I wrote his name up on the board.
(The guy at the desk said the scores arent removed daily so I wonder how long it stayed up there for?)
We walked back through the resort just as a boat was arriving so we jumped on that and got off over at the Yacht & Beach club. We walked over to Beaches & Cream as I really wanted to get a No Way Jose ice cream but it was a 45 minute wait for a table so we decided to just share a mint choc chip scoop from the take away counter which we ate whilst walking to Epcot via International Gateway.
We walked from International Gateway through to the main entrance to get the Monorail back to the TTC and then onto the Poly. It was the first day of the International Food & Wine festival so we picked up a festival guide to read later and help plan our day there. We got back to the room about 4pm and decided to rest my ankle and relax for an hour of two before making our way to MNSSHP tonight!
We chilled out watching tv and reading before freshening up and making our way to the boat dock about 6.30pm, there was a boat already waiting so we jumped on and were soon approaching the Magic Kingdom.
We were surprised at how many people were in costume this evening, much more than when we were there the week before (11th September). We got our wristbands and candy bag before walking up Main Street.
We headed into Tomorrowland, where we walked straight onto Buzz. Lee scored a decent 219,000 compared to my pathetic 33,400!
