It's a Dragon Fruit. My sister and cousin are making a smoothie out of it. I think it looks weird but cool at the same time. It eeminds me of something out of the Pokemon Universe.. :teeth: LOL Perhaps thats why it's cool.. :teeth:

Reminds me of either a boss in Phantasy Star Online on the Dreamcast or the Piranha Plant from Mario.

Its cool how the supermarkets keep getting new random fruits.

Just to let you know guys, it apparantly has a taste similar to a Kiwi. Then again, if you chop it in 2 it does look like one in the middle...

I bought this from Tesco cause it was pink and it looked interesting. I wasn't impressed ~ Didn't taste of much really and it cost £2:rolleyes1

im with minnies pal.. it doesnt taste like anything much..
but its very beautiful! and expensive!

Since DD came back from travelling we've been making 'weird and wonderful' smoothies - I'd looked at the 'Dragon Fruit' in Tesco but had been put off by the price ;)

Think Sammie and Florence have just saved me some money............:rotfl:

Hmmm, I'm more of an apple girl myself!

Hmmm certainly strange. But yet very beautiful. Think i'd buy one just for the looks! Haha how shallow of me:rotfl:

I can remember buying these when I first saw them in Tesco a years back - they were ok - rather like a Lychee in taste but quite expensive then. Haven't had one for years. They are very beautiful to look at.

We got one last year in Tescos because it looked great - it wasn't though - and it didn't BBQ well either.

I had a free taster in Harrods last Christmas, naturally I always do my Christmas shopping there
I thought well it's OK and then the assistant said they were £7.50 each :lmao:
