I can't believe it is a week before the SEPTEMBER PIN EVENT and there is barely a sign of it here on the DIS COLLECTION BOARDS...this is the place where pin collectors from around the world used to post about the pins and the trading and the fun...

Where is everybody??? It's so quiet here....

Anyone going to the event? Anyone looking forward to time at the parks with their friends? Anyone have the Beauty and the Beast Easel pin for trade??

Has someone cast a spell on the collection boards??? Are we in the middle of an episode of The Twilight Zone??

Hi, my name is Nancy and my pin trading bag is also already packed...Wow - I thought for a second I was the only one going to the Pin Trading Event at WDW! (Though it would have been nice to have the place to myself, LOL.) I'm heading down in exactly one week and can't wait!!! I just started collecting pins this year and also collect B & B so I won't have any good ones to trade you, BeautyLLM, but hope we both get some awesome finds for our collections! Have you ever been before? This is my first time (to the event, 12th time to WDW!).

my name is Stephan and my plane leaves in exactly 10 1/2 hours .. so i will be the first at Epcot and will hold the line for a week .. to get to the trade board first !!!
I have my pinbags ( 3 ) packed and a couple of hundred extras in my suitcase as well... honestly .. who needs clothes in Florida anyway .. ( speedo and Boa will do !! )
Have some nice Paris pins packed and especially some Belle pins for you ladies ( LE 1200 Belle ) ..

I'm working. I have to pay back time for getting 5 days off during the school year. So I am working from this past Wednesday straight through until Thursday night at midnight.
8 days in a row, I might be exhausted when I leave CT but FL always seems to wake me up.
Not packed yet, pins are all in a jumble in the drawer, but I will get it all together before Friday morning. (I hope) Peggie

I'm quiet about the pin event because i CAN'T GO
As I have railed on and on about this cruel injustice to poor Peggie (well, not too poor, as you DO get to go..) every pin event seems to go by me while I wait for my kids to not be in school any more so I can go at times when not every person in the known universe goes, mainly school vacations.
When the day arrives in 8 years or so when I get to my first pin event, I'm inviting you all to a celebration, and the cosmos are on me!

Me included...I must admit I have been semi absent from the boards...illness in the family, working, and just trying to figure out what the heck Isobel is going to do...We who live here, just may be hammering boards on our windows instead of enjoying the pin event...Yuck!!!!

But we are thinking very POSITIVE because we want to go have fun, and get to see a lot of friends we haven't seen for awhile..

So lets get some positive thinking going here, and see if we can't turn it right around..w/o hitting anyone...

And my boa is pressed and ready....

Well, my boa is fluffed, my pins are packed, my suitcase is out and starting to get packed, and my TV and computer are parked on the Weather Channel and Weather.com.

Stephan, depending on Isabel, you may be the only one in line at the pin event!!!

Well I have pins all over the dining room table, working on my pin bags. I am almost ready to go. Although I am very disappointed that Corey is unable to come with me. It will be the first of the pin events I have attended that he will miss. But there is still the cruise!!!

I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the event...... I will have on my boa..............pin.

I am sad that I will not be there to see everyone at this event.

I was lucky to be able to go last year and it was so much fun.

I am not able to go this year because I am waiting for my house to be finished. We are building 9 1/2 miles from the castle and it should be ready around Nov 16.

So next year I will be there, and Mickey Manor will be open for people that need places to stay - we can do a pin trading marathon at my place.

So I am sad I will not be there, but know that next year it will not happen without me.

Everyone - please have a magical time - I know it is going to be awesome.

I send hugs to all my pin trading friends and hope to see you all real soon.

oops, wrong place. Well, I am where I will be all next weekend too! Right here just like I am every pin event, feeling sorry for myself (except I don't have to wear speedos or a boa so that isn't so bad). However, my very few trading pins are set to be there so everyone trade with me via Robyn, or at least help Robyn and Ruthie find good lanyard trades for me!!!!!!


PS, Come on stay at homers, we need to post next week to cheer ourselves up!

I started working on my pins last night, and have to get finished tonight; I will probably pack the night before, cause I leave shortly after I get home from work, so no time then. Don't know when I will fit in the trip to the bank so I have money and it better not be a hurrican taking off or landing or I won't fly and then Robyn will kill me!
