Sorry I have been MIA. My little brother is on leave from Afganistan. He is visiting other peope right now, so I got a chance to get on here!

There have been MANY car trips this past week. Gabriel has been having a kinda hard time. Anyway, Matt informed me last night on or way home from Eville that he REALLY doesn't want to drive. So I have been looking at flights again.:headache:

So I have 2 options here....

1. We can fly NON STOP out of Owensboro (which is only 45 min from us) for $337 for all. Problems here, firstly, it flies to Sanford. That means no ME. Also, the flight there would be on Thur 10/21. Home Thur 10/28. Which means we have 2 nights before WDW. Makes it perfect for IoA on Friday.

Problems here:
-How to get back and forth, least inexpensive. We need to get to a hotel (right now we are considering Days Inn Maingate, ever stay there?), then to IoA, to WDW, then back to Sanford. I got on Mears site and estimated that from WDW to Sanford to be around $105!:scared1: I am pretty clueless here. We have drove and used ME only.

2. We can fly out of Indy. One stop there, non back. $186 pp. We haveto drive 3 hrs to Indy. Then we probably wouldn't get to do IoA.

Check out the transportation board for rental car codes. My dh will not use Disney transportation, so we always rent a car. He also will only drive an suv :rolleyes:so that makes it even harder, but I was able to get a full size suv for $265 for 6 full days. It may be cheaper to rent a car for your entire stay rather than using the Mears service.

I think you will all end up happier flying, so much easier than driving!! I second the OP opinion, check out the transportation board. Last time we went, we took a private car service and it included a stop at the grocery store. I forget the name, but it is the one that is sponsor on the trans board.

Hope things are going ok with your brother's visit!!

Hello all. I am just on the down side of the hump that is the third anniversary of loosing Levi. It has been an EXTREMELY trying week. I have not really had time to devote to Disney. After a meltdown this morning, my DH, Matt, has suggested that it would be good for me to visit the spa while on vacation.

So, any suggestions/ tips/ recommendations?

Still working on possibly flying. We are prettysure we are going to, but have not totally decided.

Still have a bit of sewing, not much though. Mostly hats for Gabriel. Still debating on Seuss customs...

I was looking at spa services. These sound nice, they are at Saratoga.

A rich blend of rosewood, geranium, vetiver, palmarosa, lavender essential oils will hydrate and heal your skin, leaving it smooth and youthful. Ylang ylang and patchouli will linger as an exotic fragrance following this bath.
(45 minutes) $105

Rosemary Spring
This highly therapeutic bath is designed to promote lymphatic drainage and assist the body in the elimination of toxins. We have gathered thyme, rosemary, tea tree, sage and other potent herbs for this effective blend, excellent to restore the weary traveler to vibrant health.
(45 minutes) $105

I have never done hydromassage before. Maybe follwed by a pedi???

I say go with your first option of flying and rent a car. You may be happy to have the car if the buses become crowded. and you will get to go to IoA. :thumbsup2

Hope you are having a great visit with your DB. Thank him for us, will you?

Been thinking about you these last few days. Saying prayers of strength!

What a great DH! Such a good idea. I am a spa fan myself. I tend to not do the baths or scrubs though. Probably just me but I almost feel like I am not getting enough bang for my buck. I am a huge fan of facials. So relaxing, wonderful aromatherapy (usually), and kind of like a bonus cause they pretty much always include a shoulder and scalp massage.

Whatever you decide on ENJOY!!! :cloud9:

Lori, which facials do you recommend? I have never had a facial.

I have only been to the spa once. A local spa, I got a prenatal pamering day. Lots of fun! I got a manicure, pedicure, a prenatal massage, and lunch. It was nice. But my experience is very limited.

I am geting SUPER frustrated that my ticker isn't showing up.... :(

I am going to go get a new one!

Wonder how long this takes????

What about this GF combo?

Spa Pedicure
A truly relaxing treatment as our technicians gently exfoliates your feet, then massage cuticle oil into the nails. An aromatherapy application follows with a mini-foot massage. Choice of natural nails or polish. (50 min) $65

Oh my gosh, all of the above treatments sound wonderful!!!! I can't seem to find the page for Saratoga Springs that lists spa services, I will have to keep looking. Honestly, I have found some of the simplier treatments to be the most relaxing. I usually go for whatever the standard facial is, don't really ever add on extras. Mainly because, like I said, facials include so much themselves! Oh one time I did add a hand and foot treatment, that was heavenly!!! Not a mani/pedi but just like skin treatments (exfoliation for the feet!!) that they do while you are relaxing with a nice face mask or something equally divine!

One thing about facials though, don't plan to go right out after, you will need some time to freshen up after. Mainly because your hair will end up a greasy mess!! You will end up with oils etc in your hair from the scalp massage so you might want to make sure you get back to your room to clean up a bit before you venture out again!

Ok, off to keep looking for that darn spa page!!

And because we are talking about Club Cool, these are fun! This is Isabelle in 2008 in n outfit my BFF made her at CC entrance.

You have some new pictures of Gabriel on here that I don't think you have posted on FB. Ummm..what's up with that??? LOL...you know I am a total photo freak. I need to see more, more, more!!! LOL!!
