Island Hopping: A Highly Inappropriate TR. (Boom.)-- Link to NEW TR! 10/8

hello! I've been lurking around for awhile, reading all your TRs and enjoying them, so thought I should finally say hi! :wave2:
your character meet around WS is exactly what i'm planning on for our next trip. can't wait to see who all you meet.
your kiddos are too stinkin' cute! I loved their mermaid and pirate pics--we have a princess girl and a pirate girl who would LOVE to do that!
can't wait to read your next update!

Awesome Beverly pic! That stuff is terrible. :rotfl:

Ooohhhh I can't wait to hear what characters you found!!

I've just found your TR and I can't stop reading it! The story-telling and the photos are fantastic.

Thanks for adding some Disney to my day! pixiedust:

Three things I learned from you today that are now a "must do" for us:

1. Serveur Amusant
2. Grand Marnier Slushie
3. Voices of Liberty

I love to hear about children having meltdowns at WDW. I mean, some people just gush about the perfect family vacation. It makes me feel better knowing that mine aren't the only kids that loose it and bicker. And I know this is terrible but after the long car ride from Woodstock, I'm usually screaming at the girls as we drive under the "Welcome to Walt Disney World Sign"! :rotfl:

THE WATERMELON SODA FROM CHINA IS AMAZING. I really want to bring an empty water bottle and fill it up with it. But that would probably be against the Disney Law.

Those Minnie Mouse sunglasses are so cool. I would wear them.

That is so cool they donate the candy pieces to a children’s cancer hospital! How sweet.

Took me awhile but now I'm all caught up! Loving your TR! We had our first stay at the Poly last year and were also in the Tahiti Longhouse. You really can't beat that location with young children especially when it comes to transportation options. Loved everything about the Poly.

Hahaha, I love the Club Cool photos! Beverly is just noooot my cup of tea. It tastes awful. I try to like it, but I can't. The initial taste of kind of sweet/not bad, but the after taste hits and it's just.. awful.

I LOVE Brynn's sunglasses, they are kind of ridiculously adorable. She obviously needed them!

Ohhh England. I love calling random people on the phone there! It's kind of amazing to see the reactions. I bet the girls would get a kick out of it!

Sometimes you just gotta put your feet in the water, regardless of where you are. Especially when it's hot out!

I AM GETTING A GREY GOOSE SLUSHIE NEXT TRIP. I keep forgetting to try it and I am making sure to get one in September, no questions asked.

Wompwomp about the explosion, but that happens sometimes! But at least the show helped lighten the mood a bit!

We are definitely making sure we see The American Adventure show next trip. I think it's the perfect way to get out of the heat for a bit, plus Matt really wants to see it.

YAY FOR MORE CHARACTER MEETS! That area is the best place to meet them, I swear! I'm excited to see who you guys run into!

The watermelon soda is the only one I was brave enough to try in Club Cool! :lmao:

I tried to get DBF to try the Beverly but apparently he occasionally listens to my ramblings and remembered I said one of them was gross but wasn't sure which so he just refused to try any. Ugh. Therefore, I think reasonable deception of family members to make comical memories and pictures is perfectly acceptable behavior!

Despite the meltdowns, you guys were certainly experiencing a lot of stuff in the World Showcase. I'm glad the popcorn was able to save the day though.

Um I can not believe it is the 10 year anniversary of Finding Nemo. This makes me so sad because I remember when Finding Nemo was released. Wow. I feel older and older every day! :crazy2:

I just have to say--I think everyone should wear a tiara everyday! I loved the one I got for our wedding so much, I used to wear it around the house to do whatever....like vacuuming or folding clothes. if I thought I could get away with it, i'd wear it everyday (I may or may not still get it out of the box its in and put it on my head occasionally, 9 years later). it just makes everything seem more important! :rotfl:

I had a question for you also: we are planning a trip for January and had planned to stay at CBR. after doing some reading on here, and hearing about the various problems people were having (plumbing issues?...no thanks!) I just wondered what your thoughts were on staying there? we have only ever stayed at all star movies before and were wanting to try a moderate this trip since the prices are lower in January. would you stay there, or is there somewhere else you think would be better? we have two girls, who will be 6 and 4 when we go, so I was trying to find something I thought they would like too. thanks for any advice you have!

I need to tell you that your trip video was amazing!!! (Of course, you already knew that!) Great music, great footage, priceless memories! I had tears in my eyes at some points. The part where Julia was hanging on your DH...oh my word, it melted my heart..so sweet!!!

I think I need to watch that video again.

Oh yeah, and I can't wait to read more of the TR too!!

Love it when I notice an update from you ! The world showcase is one of my favorite places to go. I have never seen the american adventure but I will put that on my list for this year - I have just booked OKW villas for December its so exciting. I have read all you TR and I cannot believe how much your children have grown up Julia is quite the young lady, just lovely. Look forward to more Epcot soon :)

Hi, I'm mostly a lurker but now that I've caught up on this trip report I want you to know how much I am enjoying it!:cheer2:

I just hate that floor in Club Cool!! I mean I guess I understand how a little of the floor can be sticky but the entire floor is sticky!!! It grosses me out!

Just back from our 2 week stay but all caught up. Loving your EPCOT update. You are really hitting jackpot with the charcters:thumbsup2.

We did not get to Club Cool while we were there. Saving that for my cousin's DH when we are there is September. I would love to get him with the Beverly!

I love everything about this update. First, Club Cool. It's always a fun visit, even if I always leave feeling bloated and sick (I don't drink much soda nowadays), but it's always worth it. Also, I think you need to frame that photo of you, and put it up in a giant frame. It's a keeper.

World Showcase! I need to try some of the slushies in France. I was thinking of trying a Grey Goose slushie last visit, but for some reason it didn't happen. This year it will!

For some reason, we always, always end up seeing Serveur Amusant when we're heading back to our room. I think we passed them at least 5 or 6 times last trip. Must be the timing.

I love watching the Candy art, but haven't done it in years! Another thing to add to the list of things to do!

Ok, I'm not going to lie, but American Adventure is actually at the top of my list of "things I've never done but need to do." Especially because I hear it has John Muir in it. I'm a big John Muir fan.

I can't wait to see who the special friends are! Also... we're less than a week from DOUBLE DIGITS!!!
Thanks. I'm quite fond of that photo .
I usually go Grey Goose, but wanted to try the Grand Marnier. I always end up saving my drinking for the slushie stand, but I may branch out this year and try something from another country:thumbsup2...or just have other stuff PLUS the slushie!!
This is the first time we had more than one day at Epcot. We got so much more accomplished than in years past! It was super relaxed!

Number one:
I stand corrected, Wendy and Peter won’t be out on the veranda, they’re out in Fl, I’m not sure where exactly but I’m sure Kenny the pirate knows!

Watermelon is definitely mt favorite too!! Oh my gosh best Beverly picture ever!! Baha. I WISH I had gotten Paige’s reaction on video last trip, it’s just so priceless to the unsuspecting!

Ahahaa, hi!!!! Canada! I do wish there was more in the pavilion, but hey, at least we’ve got Le Cellier!

Oh my gosh it weirds me out that there are people now a days who won’t know about phone booths or pay phones, or VHS’s….odd….the way technology has taken over!

The GM slushes are just the best, it’s impossible to get through a day at epcot without one! Great experience in Japan and France! I definitely need to take more time doing different things in ws! I’ve stopped for Voices of Liberty, but never the movie, I just can’t say I’ve had any interest in it hahaha!
Hmmmm, a Canadian not interested in a movie completely about how awesome the US is?!? I just don't understand!!:rotfl2:

YAY!! :banana:I got Cool Club right! The watermelon one is my favorite too.
WINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1: That watermelon soda is delicious. I wish I had some right now!

I was right! :cool1: I love your Beverly face!!! Priceless! :lmao:

Hi back from Canada. :wave2:

Switch Grand Marnier for Grey Goose and I'll be one happy camper. :goodvibes
This was the first year I tried the Grand Marnier. I'm usually a die-hard Grey Goose Girl!

Best beverly picture ever! :lmao:

My favorite is the Krest Ginger Ale from Mozambique. I tricked my sister into drinking beverly and her face was priceless! Then I tasted beverly and I had to drink a gallon of the other sodas to get the horrid taste out of my mouth!
That was good, too! When the Beverly wasn't working correctly, it actually kind of tasted like watered-down Krest. I was very disappointed to know it did not, in fact, taste that good.:rolleyes2

THANK YOU!!:goodvibes
I hope they get to do Pirate's League! It was wonderful!

Awesome Beverly pic! That stuff is terrible. :rotfl:

It was. TERRIBLE. Never again!

I've just found your TR and I can't stop reading it! The story-telling and the photos are fantastic.

Oh, thank you! I hope you keep on enjoying!

Bahahaha!! I'm nothing if not honest!! We joke that some kid is ALWAYS crying as we go under the Sign! It is our way of welcoming ourselves to the Happiest Place on Earth :lmao:!

How sweet.
THAT IS A GREAT IDEA. You could totally pour it into their little cups, then into your water bottle. I think so long as your bottle doesn't touch their taps, you're fine. BRILLIANT.

Took me awhile but now I'm all caught up! Loving your TR! We had our first stay at the Poly last year and were also in the Tahiti Longhouse. You really can't beat that location with young children especially when it comes to transportation options. Loved everything about the Poly.
I didn't really have any clue which longhouse to choose, so the Tiki Gods really chose a great one for us:thumbsup2! It was perfect. If we ever stay there again, I know which one to choose.

Hahaha, I love the Club Cool photos! Beverly is just noooot my cup of tea. It tastes awful. I try to like it, but I can't. The initial taste of kind of sweet/not bad, but the after taste hits and it's just.. awful.

I need to try calling those numbers!
And because I'm a great friend, I'll sacrifice and get a Grey Goose Slushie with you.

The watermelon soda is the only one I was brave enough to try in Club Cool! :lmao:

I tried to get DBF to try the Beverly but apparently he occasionally listens to my ramblings and remembered I said one of them was gross but wasn't sure which so he just refused to try any. Ugh. Who knew they listen to our ramblings!?!:rotfl: Brandon knew about it, but he was a good sport and tried it anyway...but neither of us will do it again, that's for sure!

Caught up! Hahah your Beverly face is perfect.
::taking a bow:: Thank you, thank you!

:rotfl:

I really grew fond of that little tiara! I've worn it since then!
Oh, CBR...well, the first trip there was great...but now I'm wondering if you have any other moderate options? We're doing POR next trip. I've only heard good things about it. Maybe you could do a princess room there?? I'd skip on CBR, honestly. There were just too many issues for us to want to return, and we weren't the only ones.:worried:

They have grown so much, haven't they? Makes me happy/sad! You never know what they mean about children growing up so fast until you watch it firsthand.::yes::

Hi, I'm mostly a lurker but now that I've caught up on this trip report I want you to know how much I am enjoying it!:cheer2:
I'm so glad! I'm usually a lurker myself, so I really appreciate you commenting!

I just hate that floor in Club Cool!! I mean I guess I understand how a little of the floor can be sticky but the entire floor is sticky!!! It grosses me out!
EW. I hate it. And this is from a mom of three (meaning someone who is used to things being sticky and gross). It's extreme.

Just back from our 2 week stay but all caught up. Loving your EPCOT update. You are really hitting jackpot with the charcters:thumbsup2.

We did not get to Club Cool while we were there. Saving that for my cousin's DH when we are there is September. I would love to get him with the Beverly!
Yeah, yeah, two week stay....:worship:
Have a camera/video camera ready!!

I really grew fond of that little tiara! I've worn it since then!

you must have totally read my mind!! I've been doing some reading and found out that for the week we're going, POR is about the same price (maybe about $40 more) as CBR. I was debating switching and then I saw the princess rooms and was sold! I think our girls will totally love it (and me too, if i'm honest! ::yes:: not sure what DH will think, but since he's pretty much outnumbered, he's just gonna have to roll with it! :p)! are you going in September? I can't wait to see pictures of your room!
oh, and i'm glad to hear i'm not the only one rockin' the tiara every now and again! :thumbsup2

I absolutely LOVE your vacation video. Makes me cry!
Thanks, Meghan!:goodvibes I cry, too!

HOORAY!! Yes, we're going to be there Sept 13-22, and we'll be at POR from the 13-19 and AoA from the 19-22. We have to be in an Alligator Bayou room, though, because this is the first year that Sawyer counts as a "real" kid :rotfl:, so that makes five of us...too big for a princess room:rolleyes:.
