is your officant suppose to be invited to the reception?

Do you invite your officant to the reception?

If I was having my wedding at home I would have invited him. our pastor went to my Aunt's reception and I think all of my aunt's and Uncles receptions. My officiant was going to be my Uncle because he is a pastor

For a destination wedding I don't think it's nessacary.

I am not sure what the exact "rules" on this are... But, I was married last September and we had 3 priests at do our ceremony. We invited all 3 to the reception.. but only 1 was able to attend (other 2 had church obligations). It was nice having our priest there.... he said the prayer before dinner, which was a nice touch.
