Is your luggage in your room when you get there?

We haven't used ME before and I'm just wondering if your luggage gets to your room at the same time you are checking in to your resort. We're coming from chilly PA this wednesday so I know we will be wanting to change out of our warm layers upon getting there.

Should we pack a change of clothes in our carry ons? Or will the luggage be in our room when we are?

I always pack a change of clothes in our carry-on. You never know the airline might you lose your luggage.

I haven't used ME yet (we are in a few weeks) but all the post I've read is that the luggage shows up approximately 3 hours or later.

Pack a change of clothes in your carry on, your luggage will not be at your resort when you arrive. Change at the resort and check your carry on luggage and hit the parks or whatever you have planned. When you come back to your room later your luggage will be in the room waiting for you.

Absolutely pack that change of clothes in your carry-on bags. Once you are checked in, head for a restroom, change your clothes, and leave your bags with Bell Services. In most cases, if you have gone to the parks for a few hours and then return to get into your room, you will either find your luggage there or you can then call BS and tell them you are there and to please bring your bags up.

When I used it on Thanksgiving Day the luggage was in our rooms about an hour later

Thanks so much for responding to my question, I'm really glad I asked! I was sort of assuming that it would get there the same time we would but then I got nervous.

So thanks for the info and I will definitely be sticking some clothes in the carry on. Wednesday's forecast says about 40 here in PA and 75 in Orlando so we'll definitely need some different clothing!

Your checked bags are not loaded on the bus with you, they are loaded onto trucks and sent separately. Not sure if they sort them by resort at the airport or elsewhere. So it takes some time.

Note that if you *really* want your luggage, you can NOT use the yellow tags, pick up your own luggage at the airport, shlep the luggage to the ME bus and have it taken on the bus with you.

Of course, you should still pack a change of clothes in your carry-on in case the airline loses your luggage.
