My parent's 25th Anniversary is the 20th of December and im planning on taking them to Disneyland and other places for their Anniversary from December 19th to the 24th. I was just wondering if those are bad days to go.

Yeah, I know it's going to be cold. :)

The weather won't be your problem...it will be the crowds! That is one of the busiest weeks at DL. Is there anyway you could conclude your trip on the 20th? Going a few days earlier will really cut down on your "standing in line" time. On the plus side, DL and DCA are absolutely gorgeous with all the beautiful decorations.

Well, their anniversary is the 19th. So, I could make the 20th the last day there and leave the 15th. I definantly want a 5 day long trip and it has to include the 19th.

Oh, in my post i said it was the 20th, lol i was wrong it's the 19th.

<font color=navy>Wintertime in So Cal is my favorite time of year. :sunny:

I think that ending your trip on the 20th would be so much better. During the week before that, the crowds will be moderately light, and busier on the weekends - everything will be decorated so nicely - it's just more magical at that time of year. Most kids will get out of school on the 18th, and so it will start to be much more crowded the two holiday weeks.

You can plan it so you can have advanced reservations or priority seating for your lunch or dinner celebration on the 19th, and since you'll have already experience most of the attractions by then, you can concentrate on having a more relaxed, enjoyable day.

You should call ahead and get priority seating @ Blue Bayou for your parent's anniversary. It's a tad-bit noisy inside but the atmosphere is awesome. Ask for water-side seating and tell them what the special occasion is.

As previously posted, the decorations are beautiful. The outside of the Small World attraction has every inch covered in pastel lights. I have seen it several times and everytime, I start crying. It's really quite embarrassing but there's just something about standing there looking at those lights...I feel like the luckiest person in the world! Sorry, didn't mean to get mushy

Without a doubt, change the dates!!!

We went last Dec from the 15th to the 19th. Little to no crowds during the week - starts to pick up on weekend. Incredible weather!!!! T-shirts and jeans during day - light sweatshirt at night!! Can't guarantee you will have the same but it is Southern California....

We went at that time specifically to see the holiday decorations and they were spectacular! We were standing by IASW the first evening and heard this "countdown" over the speakers and all of a sudden....lights on!!! I did tear up! I loved walking around and looking up at all the holiday decorations everywhere. It is a great time to go and beat the rush for the holidays.

I would do as other posters suggested and end the trip on the 20th. Crowds are huge around Christmas/Winter break. But other then that DLR is magical in the winter. You get the wonderful Haunted Mansion that is all decked out with the Nightmare Before Christmas theme (now including the Boogie Man), Small World is so charmingly decorated at this time of year and my daughter absolutely loves the "snow" (bubbles) that come down after the fireworks.

RLAlden - I beg to differ because my family and I could barely move from the crowds on July 4th 2003. It was unbearable!!! We ended up leaving and swimming at the hotel the rest of the day. My sister who was traveling with us tried to go back that afternoon around 3pm to see the fireworks, you guessed it ,they shut the park down they weren't allowing people to enter the park. This also happened to them at Christmas time 2003.

So even though I absolutely love Disney it is so hard to be in crowds when you have the little ones.
