...any combination of a sun-thu + fri/sat?

My husband's days off a usually midweek so we tend to leave on a tues or wednesday and return one of those two days the following week.

Is it accurate to be looking at the weekly points in the charts if we're planning to stay for 7 days even if it isnt Sun-Sat? How does it work if you want to stay for 9 days?

Also, we're seriously considering 175 points at BLT and plan on vacationing for a week or so every other year in a 2 bedroom (maybe a 1bedroom while the kids are still little). The Disney crazy person in me thinks more is better and doesn't want to skimp but realistically we'd like to travel other places and plan on buying in at Ko Olina in Hawaii when that comes up so is 175 adequate for us with this plan?

If I'm not mistaken "weekly" means whatever combination that makes
5 weekday nights + 2 weekend nights;
so it can be Sun-Thurs + Fri & Sat or Sat. + Sun-Thurs + Fri. If you tally up the 'weekly' totals it equals 5 weekdays which have to be Sun - Thurs nights and 2 weekend nights which are Friday & Saturday nights.
9 nights can have as many as 4 weekend nights ( ie Fri & Sat + Sun-Thurs + Fri & Sat ) or as few as 2 weekend nights.

When you look at the point charts, the weekly rate is what you would pay for any seven consecutive nights. For example you could check in on a Tuesday and check out the following Tuesday you would pay for five weeknights and two weekend nights which is exactly what the weekly rate works out to be.

In other words, the weekly rate is displayed for convenience. If you multiply the weeknight rate by 5 and add in two times the weekend night rate, you get exactly the same number of points as they display for the weekly rate.

The "weekly" notation just refers to any period of 7 consecutive nights. The points needed for that "weekly" number are the combined points of the points needed for the 7 nights.

As explained above, 7 consecutive nights will always include 5 weeknights (Sunday - Thursday) and 2 weekend nights (Friday and Saturday). There is no restriction regarding when you start your stay. The minimum stay is still 1 night.

So if I wanted to stay for 9 nights starting on a sunday, I would add the daily points for the sun-thurs, the points for the fri-sat and the point for the sun-mon and be good to go? Is there any problem booking that many days in a row in your home resort if you have the points to do so?

Yep. You can book a month if you have the points. Simple as adding up the points and having enough. It's been done before.

Weekly is seven consecutive nights as long as you don't cross seasons. For example, during Thanksgiving, the season changes right in the middle of the week. If your week falls into two different seasons, you need to figure on the points per night.

For one week every other year, 175 points for a 2 BR looks doable for Adventure season (the cheapest) only. It's 272 points for a standard view. If you wanted MK view for the same time, that would be 361 points so you would be short some points. Have you seen it in person, it's really gorgeous!
