Because of business in that area, I could foresee us planning last minute trips to Vero Beach. Is it hard to get in there during the summer months?

And while I'm asking, what is considered peak times at Vero?

TIA.

Peak season is Feb, Mar & April. Summer is not a busy time at Vero - honestly, it's hot & humid and not particularly pleasant. I don't think you'll have any problem geting in there relatively short notice during summer, unless you're talking REALLY short notice like a month ahead of time.

Thanks Sue. That's good to know. Unfortunately it looks like trips during Feb and April school breaks would be out. :(

I wanted to chime in and say that my family went last August and it wasn't that bad. I mean, we were in the water most of the time, and, other than the scalding hot sand, it wasn't too bad. The breeze off the water was nice but, of course, we were trying to find shade as much as possible. I don't think it would have been quite as hot in June and we are going in June 2007 for a week or so.

We went in August last year (2Bdrm) and the resort was full (even Sat.).

I had no problems booking a 2 bedroom for the first week in August at 7 months (did it day by day, but that may have been overkill).

Silly me I miscalculated 7 month window and booked VB 2 bdrm at 8 months and that's probably why I had a problem.
