I've been approached several times during the past few days by girls wanting to trade. But inside the trade window, then they go "are you taken?" I'm guessing it's because they think that it's against the values to do that. So they think that they found a loophole? Instead of saying it outright, they do it in a faux trade?

All this happened in mansion or pirates, not town square or scifi dine-in. By the way, I still see people do it in public, but it seems like a little less.

Well asking you that in trade is no different then asking you outside to a point because when they ask outside of a trade its more out in public however since taken is not yet against VMK Values even if people report nothing will happen, plus staff can see chat in trades so their is not really a point.

They've been doing this since I joined over a year ago, and I'm sure many of our more veteran members could tell you people have been doing this longer than that. And like Titanic up there said, it doesn't matter where they type it because VMK sees all (now whether they choose to act on what they see is a different matter lol!).

If I had to guess, the 'control panel' that the staff members can see raises a red flag whenever certain words are uttered (or word combos).

Again, this is a GUESS.

Yeah this has been going on for a while. It's not just girls either. I really don't get the point!
