I booked a carriage ride at Port Orleans Riverside for 9:30pm. That day we will be at Animal Kingdom. We will be staying for the River of Lights show at 8pm. They say the show is 30 mins. Is it possible to watch the show and get to Port Orleans by 9:30pm? That's an hour to get out of Animal Kingdom from wherever the River of Light show is (I haven't been to Disney in a few years) and get an Uber or taxi to Port Orleans Riverside marina. Is this do-able? Thanks for your help with this!!!!

I think you will be cutting it too close. AK is a big park. You’ll be walking from the “back” of the park to the front exit. Also factor in wait time for an Uber. It might take a while to get one at that time of night (park closing, after ROL).

After you arrive at PO you have to find out where to meet your carriage ride.

If it were me I’d either reschedule the ride or skip ROL.

ROL is 15 minutes long. Assuming another 15 minutes to get to the park exit and you will have an hour to get to POR and to your carriage ride. I think that is doable. I would do a little research first and be sure you know exactly where you are going to check in for your carriage ride so that you aren't wasting time when you arrive at the resort. Even with a 15 - 20 minute wait for a bus or uber, you should have 15 or so minutes to get to your carriage ride once you are off the bus/uber.

Of course like anything, nothing is guaranteed so you'll have to weigh the risk and based on how upset you would be if you missed the carriage ride, decide if it's worth chancing or not.

Is it possible to move the carriage ride a 1/2 hour later? That would give you some more breathing room.

I would not do this but if you do make sure you sit in the back of ROL so that you can be the first out make sure you walk as fast as you can to the exit and take a taxi... but I would not do it I have been stuck too many times trying to get out of ROL it is not even funny

It took along time to get out of the ROL light area. We went to the firt dhow and there was people lined up for the next show. It was very crowded and slow moving

I would not do this. A carriage ride is special, so I cannot imaging beginning with any stress about getting there in time.

I think you could make it but you should reserve your uber and pay the waiting minutes if you haven’t walked there im Time.

If you are able to grab seats towards the back or on an aisle to make a quicker get away from ROL that will help too.

For me - the hardest part about your plan would be walking past the Tree of Life Awakening and not watching. But I think the timing is doable to get from ROL to POR via uber/lift. If you leave AK in the uber by 8:45 you should be fine. Make it a point to do a bathroom break BEFORE ROL so you don’t have to stop again before arriving at POR. I also agree with knowing where to go at POR.

It's doable, but I think you will find it stressful. The show is 15 minutes. Depending on where you are sitting and how crowded, it could easily be 30 minutes to get to the front of the park. Thats 8:45 at best. A bus may get you there in time, but only if you get on one of the first buses and don't have to wait. Taking Uber is a much better way. You need to have it set up, so they are there to meet you.
If you haven't seen RoL, I would do it once. Not one of our favorite shows.
If you can reschedule the carriage ride to 10, I would and then you shouldn't have a time issue.
