DH and I recently purchased our first APs. :earsboy: :earsgirl:
We have talked our friends into taking their first Disney vacation next year. If rates come out for residents or passholders, how can we get a room for them at the good rates?
Is it possible for us to book two rooms at a discount, or would a passholder have to be staying in each room? Is it possible for my DH to book one room, and me to book another?
I know this sounds a little sneaky, but I really want my pals to stay onsite and they are feeling a little cheap about the whole idea...may stay offsite or in one of the Downtown Disney hotels. Which would be OK, we don't NEED to stay in the same hotel, but it would be more convenient. And they would experience more of the magic! I know they probably won't come back to WDW for a long time, if ever, and I want them to have the best time possible.
Any suggestions? Should I just give up and tell them to buy a package? We are really not into waterparks in Feb, and we're not big partiers (PI), so I feel that packages are overpriced for them...so many factors to consider! Help!

Last year we booked 2 rooms at the CR with one AP.I don't know if it mattered that the second room was for my daughter and her friend or not.I wouldn't think so though.

It's my understanding that as long as the person making the reservation is an AP holder, you can book as many rooms as you can afford.

I noticed you are from FL if your friends are also they can book a room with a FL discount (if offered) sometimes there are resident discounts and no AP discounts so keep that in mind.

Hi LadyAurora. An annual passholder can book up to three rooms at the annual passholder rate, and no a passholder does not have to be in each room.

Good luck with planning your trip. :)

A Florida Resident can book up to three rooms on the FL Discount and their CC. The Fl Resident has to check in and have proof of residency, but not all guests have to be FL Residents. FL Resident discounts are the same as AP rates.

Thanks for all the replies! Now I'll just cross my fingers for a discount at our time....
