Is this possible, has anyone done this?

Our Wishes VR is in Nov. and our guest list is at about 60 people including kids. We will have the cocktail hour and reception in the White Hall Room and Patio. I am going to seat the kids with their parents because most of the kids are young. I was thinking of putting a table out on the patio with butcher paper, crayons and other activities for the kids. I figure it would help keep them occupied & give the parents a little break too. I could "use" the older kids, like my sister and nephew who are both 17 to just keep an eye out for them so they won't draw all over the chairs!LOL What does everyone think of this idea? What would you put on that table for the kids? Would DFTW have a problem with it?

You can do this. I made a whole children's table on the patio with books, crayons, bubbles, and board games. I even had a topiary with lolly pops made for that table. Let me find photos for you!

I brought goody bags for the kids with crayons, coloring books, little candies (yay! sugar!! lol), stamps, stickers, etc. The kids (and parents!) loved the idea

Did you let Disney provide the stuff or did you bring it all? Where did you buy it and how did you get it to the reception if you provided the stuff?

I bought the coloring books and crayons at Target. The bubbles have Mickey Mouse and I bought them online (although they were supposed to be the ones with the black Mickey ears but they discontinued them) but you can find them at your local party store like party city. The books I had and the Disney games I bought from Disney but I decided to bring and use them there. We drove so we were able to bring everything easily. Disney provided the centerpiece and my florist did the table linens.

I got everything from ebay and target. I made personalized name tags for the bags and gave them to my wedding planner with all our other reception items the day before the wedding. She placed them on our guest book table so the kids could grab them on the way in.

I'm putting the kids at a kids table but I don't think it's a bad idea to have them sit with the parents.

I'm having trouble with this so I might do the same idea.
The kids attending are two young (under 5) I think to sit alone and their parents will end up worrying about them with food and stuff so I was just going to put them with their parents, but I like this idea to keep them occupied!

We had the children sit with the parents. For us the children's table was an extra table on the patio. We had kids ranging from 3 - 12 so the bigger ones looked out for the younger ones but we didn't have any problem with the children acting up.
