Thanks to everyone who posts here and for providing a wealth of invaluable information!

I'm arriving on 4/14 - around 10:30 ish - is it possible to check into Pop -
go to TL or BB and then get back to Pop and head over to 1900 Park Fare for a 6:40 PS at Cinderellas Gala Feast???? Can anyone tell me how to get to Grand Floridian from the Pop - bus wise? Is there a direct Bus or do I need to go to MK and pick up a bus to GF from there?

I'm hoping you all say yes as that was my plan until I read the post about big crowds that weekend and now I am sad.... me and dd (6) are very very excited but now I am bumming....

Thanks for any insight - this is her 4th trip to WDW and my 9th - - I know the parks pretty well and have always stayed on site.. We will be up at crack-o-dawn and dd is all for that and understands why...

Any insight greatly appreciated...

I think that is doable. I would think worst case senario you could arrive at water park at 1:00 (although I would think you could get there much earlier), leave by about 4 or so and get back in plenty of time to shower and leave by 6. I don't think there is a bus to GF but you could get to MK and take a bus or even better yet, hop on the monorail to the GF. Check in isn't until 3 (but the lines are horrible at that time) but you can check in early. If your room isn't ready, they will hold your bags. You may want to bring a seperate bag ready with your water park things ready to go just in case and change there.

Its doable, but many things can go wrong (e.g. room not ready when you get back to POP)

Are you on a ticket plan where you could "waste" a plus for three hours of a water park? You could easily spend an hour getting to/from the water park.

To get to GF, take the bus to MK as the previous poster said. From there, either take the monorail (recommended) or the small boat that goes to the GFand Polynesian. There is no bus from MK to the GF. If you take the boat, you still have a walk to get to the main building. The monorail drops you off right there.

Are you arriving at POP at 10:30 or in Orlando? Do you have a rental car?

We never take the bus to TL or BB. The TL bus stops and waits at DD. (One long bad story). Two years ago it was over an hour to get from GF to TL. We drive or take a taxi at least over to the park. Last year the Taxi from BC to BB was around 7 and I just gave him a ten. Well worth it to save an hour.

I've been held up at MCO for well over an hour after getting off the plane. Delayed baggage, outrageous wait at Alamo, towncar not arrived etc. I've checked in, in 10 minutes or a half hour. (Could be more if the two families in front of you are from Europe and don't realize the room doesn't include tickets and the desk has to explain ALL ticket options  )

Since there is no direct bus between resorts I always plan on an hour and a half to get from one resort to another. Taking a taxi would save you some serious time, and would be I'm guessing about $15. If you broke down the cost of a WDW vaction into an hourly rate. Well worth it.

Marykatesmom - I couldn't agree with you more on the Taxi issue. We learned that there are times a taxi is well worth the cost. We almost always use them to travel between resorts & to DTD. I hadn't thought of the water park issue because we haven't been to the WPs in so long - Great Idea.

I think it's doable with a taxi - pushing it by Disney transpo if you arrive at Pop at 10:30. It would be a bit more rushed than I would like on vacation.

Thanks everyone for the info...

I am having Quicksilver pick me up at baggage claim I get into
MCO around 10:30 ish a direct flight so I would hope they don't have a luggage problem - already packed the swimming gear in the carry on..... I have premium tickets with 3 water park entries - 2 of which probably won't get used... I didn't realize that POP didn't have a direct bus to TL --

I hate to use Taxi's as I feel that I paid for transportation
with my pkg but maybe I will have to this trip -- that is disappointing as
I have always been so pleased with Disney Transportation on my past 4-5 visits..

Thanks for insight into Grand Floridian - - will hop bus to
MK and then find where the monorail is to get over to Grand
Floridian - looks like I have a lot more homework than I expected
for the 1900 park fare meal...

Thanks again everyone!

Actually, the POP bus to TL operates the same as all the other resorts. It is combined with the DTD bus. Depending on the time of day, the bus goes to TL first or second.
