Is This a Sign Of Things To Come?

I see there has not been any more information released on this which I have to honestly say I am content for the moment. Our May trip has become some what of a roller coaster ride in the last month or so. Just hoping this is something that will start after our vacation. Taking it day by day and nervous with each waking hour. I was anxiously awaiting ROL but that has no turned in to fear that if I want my family to see it that Disney my find away to charge some ungodly amount for us to do so. Our trip can not come fast enough and I can only hope that no more shocking news to mess with Our plans. What a nail biter!!!

I'm right there with you! The "after hours" is already on one of our two MK (5/19). They need to just leave May alone (other than announcing ROL, of course)!!

Our touring plan is to avoid EMH mornings as the park is always more crowded so this will mean at least 2 mornings a week the MK will not be an option. On top of that, we are already shut out of 4 nights out of 6 at the MK because of the halloween parties we are not attending. We booked at BLT to spend the majority of our 6 days at the MK and I feel like we will be spending limited time there. Our disillusionment continues and we will likely be selling offf another DVC contract. It breaks my heart that we do not find the same enjoyment at Disney anymore. Disney is a genious marketer so for every loyal guest like me they alienate, there are at least 2 that replace me.

I think it a minimum of 6 hours too correct? We have done it with family a couple of times so it is also on top of park admission. It is great if you get the right guide and they treat you right ;)

Six hours, yes. :) We lucked out on our first tour with a wonderful guide and have requested him every trip since! There was only once, one day last November, that he was unable to be paired with us so it's worked out great so far.

Oosh, I'm glad our trip is only 2 weeks away--hopefully that's before they implement any of these changes! I'd hate to lost my pre-park open BOG ADR...

I'm three weeks out and I'm not so sure these other changes won't affect my trip - one of the new After Hours ones will - it irks me that they can introduce them with such little time to adjust plans...

so disney is adding an event that has no impact to your vacation and you are going to cancel? sounds good to me.

It's not about the impact to our current plans, it's the constant changes and additional things that serve just to make more money. It's potentially a downward spiral for EMH if this is successful. Why should we offer this for free if our guests are willing to pay for it? It's the Disney mentality right now. Why not announce things that people actually want or are waiting for like rivers of light dining packages?

They only just announced the official Halloween party dates for our trip, 2 weeks past our 180 day window. I'm sure people got hold of the travel agents calendar and were able to plan accordingly but the point is why can they not just commit and focus on one thing at a time? Disney is changing and its die hard fans see it, and are being made unhappy by some of the decisions that appear to want to make the share holders happy or the rich guy with unlimited resources at his disposal, not the average Joe. We fly from the uk and its not cheap at the best of times staying on property. So what my wife meant was we may decide to split our time at Disney and go stay closer to universal to experience life outside of the Disney bubble. We love Disney, we really do but a lot of people see their current decision making as a slippery slope for what's ahead.

$69 for breakfast and 3 rides??!! Wow
It will be interesting to see if pre park opening ADRs at BOG, CRT, and CP are still available on these days or if that perk goes away.

I don't think it's too far out there considering the breakfast that's included (and what that same breakfast would cost at other WDW restaurants), but we have FPs for two of the three included rides and will be able to use our TIW discount for the pre-park open breakfast ADR we already have at CP - so I won't be buying the early magic ticket for our family.

I am a fan of all things Disney....
don't misunderstand .......

Now i hope all of you see why I am sooooooooo
"tour" oriented when I go on these DISney adventures -

which IMHO, is a way to NOT have to hassle with all this garbage
cuz from what I am reading from this thread

is nothing but once again a money grab attempt from the DISney Execs and they should be ashamed of themselves.:crowded:

All of this news had me in a mood as well. The River of Lights Package, waiting for that to see if I can reserve for a day on my trip in May. With the new announcement about MK hours it won't affect us, thank goodness. We don't stay that late anyways and just leave the park at regular closing time.

It does seem like Disney is trying nickel and dime us to death but we have choices in life. We don't have to do Disney but most of use keep going back. I am thankful that most of the changes that they are making don't affect me. Sure I would like to get a reservation for the River of Lights, but if I don't it won't make or break me. I will just continue on with my trip as usual.

So for an EXTRA $220 (because regular admin. is required), my family of 4 can have breakfast, ride 3 attractions and maybe get some pictures before the crowds fill Main Street. Since the attractions are more important to my family than food, the only way this has any negligible value is if it's possible to scarf the breakfast between 8:30 (after hitting said rides) and 9, because by 9 am we would want to be in line for the additional attractions with the regular crowds. Otherwise we're totally missing our benefit of getting to the park early, which is to hit a fair amount of attractions before the crowds. We're only getting 1 hour and 15 minutes extra with this "magic."

Who saw Pinnochio coming in to play? Geez FIX BOG!!!!!

How will this work with PPO ADRs???

How are they going to deal with PPO ADRs wanting rides? This could start "ride rage"...

Won't this in essence stop all PPO 7DMT rides since it will be owned by these Morning Magic people!?!

The problem is they've learned by now that regardless of how ridiculous things sound people will pay and they've learned if they get used to paying $25 they'll pay $75. While I think in the end it is bad business I don't really blame Disney. Part of me thinks they just sit around and throw things out to amuse themselves and until people stop playing along it will continue.

Exactly. But every time there are cuts/downgrades of any type, I see plenty of people posting things like, 'I am not happy, but I'll still go to Disney'. No matter what it is. So I don't blame them for trying.

So much complaining, but people still go.

I'm not seeing this on the dining page anymore?

Anyone see dates when they caught prices?

I'm assuming they'll leave the PPO ADRs alone, but those guests will no longer have early access to those 3 rides. Which might cause a mutiny amongst the BOG cupcake crew.

So are they ending Pre-park opening breakfast at CP, BOG, and CRT or will the folks taking part in this morning bull honky be sharing their "exclusive" ride time with the restaurant breakfast folks?
