Is this a good week?

I'm planning my Christmas 2005 trip. We've never been to WDW during this time of year. I was thinking about planning our trip for the week following Thanksgiving. Does anyone have any opinions or advice on this week?
Thanks

We're going that time this year too! We'll be there the Sat after Thanksgiving til the following Friday. DH and I went the week of Thanksgiving til the Tues after in 2000, and to us, even that wasnt too bad except for Thanksgiving Day. Its a great time to go, and especially during the holiday season....so much extra stuff to see. We'll be at the Beach Club this time! Maybe we'll see you there.

We'll be there the exact same time except we'll be staying at SSR...our first trip "home" and I can't wait!!

We did it this past Thanksgiving. We arrived on Thursday the 25th but didn't start going to any Disney parks until Sunday. It was very nice! The most busy park was MK on that Monday. It was the only night that week they were having the Spectromagic Parade and Wishes so we think that is one of the reasons (plus I have read that MK are more crowded on Mondays). We ended up going back to MK on Thursday to see what we missed on Monday. Tuesday at AK was great. The lines weren't long at all. The wait for Dinosaur was 5 minutes. Kilamanjaro Safaris was 5 minutes everytime we walked by. Did MGM on Thursday and the wait for TOT was 10 minutes and RNRC was 5 (my nephew rode it 4 times throughout the day). And the weather was great. Almost 80 every day (except the Friday after Thanksgiving when we went to Discovery Cove - a little chilly in my opinion for swimming). I really enjoyed it and would do it again. Sandra

We went this year the week after Thanksgiving for 7 days and the parks were not crowded at all. The wait times for the attractions were not long, probably the longest wait was 10 min. Most of the time they did not have the fast passes available because it was not needed.

I would plan on going the week after Thanksgiving. Make sure you do the MVMCP. It is something that should not be missed. As a matter of fact we went to 2 MVMCP's. Make sure you plan some time to go and visit the other hotels to view their holiday decorations - they are simply beautiful!!

My 4 yr DD simply had a wonderful time!! ::yes::

Good luck in planning

ehmo3 - thanks for asking this question, we were wondering the same thing.

I have a question too - we'd be taking a short trip and are trying to decide between going to the parks either Sun-Tue or Wed-Fri. For those of you who were there the Sunday after Thanksgiving, what park did you go to, and did you find it pretty manageable?

Thanks!

We just went Dec. 3-7th and it was great. No crowds at all and only used a Fast Pass once.

Thanksgiving is on a Thursday (always). I would expect it to be pretty crowded through Saturday with it diminishing a bit on Sunday. Starting the Monday following Thanksgiving should be much, much, much less crowded. We went the first week of December in 2001, Dec 1 - 8 and it was great - the crowds were pretty low.
