Is this a good rate?

I just switched from POP to AKL for our upcoming February trip. I'm going to surprise DW. We're celebrating her birthday with a mom & dad only trip.

I had POP with code BDP. I was able to switch that code to AKL for a standard pool view. $135/nite. Is that an OK rate or did I mess up?

I don't think you made a mistake by booking at AKL! Your DW will be thrilled! Your rate is OK. Much better than rack rate, but more than the AP rate I usually pay. The AP rate for your time is $109 pre-tax.

I think the standard view with the ap is $109/night but with the pool view i think its more, and thats what the op got.

You are going to love AKL! That's a great rate. Granted, we've only stated one night at a value, ASSports, but there is no comparison between that and AKL. Even my in-laws (who are budget concious to the point of carrying around bottles of lukewarm water instead of just buying water in one of the parks) loved AKL and agreed that it was worth the extra money.

This is a great rate and it is an absolutely GORGEOUS resort. My DH wants to stay there next time we go and would JUMP at $135/night (and he's so cheap you have better luck squeezing a penny out of a gnats nose). The lobby is beautiful. The restaurants are great. You're going to love it!

We had a pool view at AKL and it was heaven!!!! If you want to, you can simply ask if there are any upgrades available when you check-in.
