Is this a good deal for the Yacht Club?

Hi guys, I think I originally posted this is the wrong place! I am going to Orlando in September of this year from the UK and I;m staying off property for 16 nights but was hoping to spend two nights in the YC to celebrate an anniversary. I;ve found it online for £373 for a pool/lagoon view for two nights. Is this a good deal? Thanks!

That sounds like a good deal. It's $420 a night for a pool/lagoon view at the YC and converting pounds to US dollars, 373 pounds is $585 in US dollars.

Not sure of conversion, but I looked up on the WDW web site, 2 nights in Sept. I put in 9/17 & 9/18 and it was $294 per night, so for 2 nights it was $662 incl tax for 2 adults in USD. Pool/lagoon view.
They have a 30% off room only promo going on now for dates 8/15 thru 9/29

I did the same thing and got $945. Not sure how you got $294/night. With the promo it comes down to $528 so that would be a better deal than the deal she is asking about.

Am I eligible for the room promo because it didn't come up when I tried to book it through disney earlier. Can you help me? Thanks!

Yes, phone WDW reservations and ask to have it applied. Or if you booked with a travel agent, phone them. This was on the US Disney site. There is a link on the bottom of the page that says Special Offers.

$528 is for Standard View, they wanted water view. i quoted the water view price.

I saw it coming because I have read it here before, but our reservation was changed from YC CL Lagoon view to the CL Pool or Lagoon view. I really don't want the noisy pool view. I want the lagoon view where I can watch the boats and the lights on the Boardwalk. The CM took my request, but we don't get in until around 5 PM, and I am guessing the good views will be assigned earlier in the day. I am really bummed. Sitting on the balcony is always such a treat for me. What are the odds I will get my wish?! :sad2:

I called Disney and the UK can't take advantage of the 30% offer which is a bit of a shame. Also the website that was quoting £373 now says there are no rooms available. I called Disney and they are quoting me £583 for two nights with pool/lagoon view. Expedia are quoting £489 for two nights. It's such a shame because I really want to celebrate our anniversary at the YC but I don't think I can justify £500 for two nights. :(

Aww thats too bad. In the rare event they have Canadian specials, they make me book that- sometimes they are not as good as the US offers. But usually there aren't any Canadian offers, so I can book the US offers :roll eyes:
Or I have an AP and can book the special AP offer, regardless of whether there is a Canadian offer or not.

Well the 337 I was quoted from the website says 'deal no longer available' it was through venere.com I have found a quote of £440 through greatorlandodiscounts.com which applies the 30% discount for my dates if I pay in dollars so I may do that. I just hope my budget will stretch to it! I'm frightened the dates might fill up too. Anyone have any advice on if/when that might happen? Thanks so much for your help!

Keep trying! I just booked a night at the YC this evening for the end of Sept. It was the best deal I could get with the discount code I was using percentage-wise. I think a lot of the deals depend on how many people have booked the hotel and how many rooms they want to fill, so there are rates that come and go.
