Is this a good deal for a SSR resale?

200 points $66 a point with buyer paying closing costs

I think that is a good deal for Saratoga Springs. At that price Disney has actually bought some back recently. It is such a good deal Disney might buy it back.

Good price and it might squeak through ROFR since the buyer is paying closing costs. Disney likes to ROFR fully loaded contracts where the seller pays the closing costs and MF on current year points.

Are you buying? If so, good luck!

Its a great deal... and priced to sell.

And 6 months ago it would've stood a reasonable chance of passing Disney's ROFR (right of first refusal). Of late Disney seems to be buying back most SSRs in the $60s.

I am hopeful Disney figures out that the economy is still not so hot and that supply of SSR resale contracts available is too great to keep defending via ROFR in the mid to high $60s.

I am on my second purchase contract. My first one got bought back (at $65) and my second one is awaiting their decision (at $65 again - but not totally loaded).

As long as you can live with the fact that you may not actually get the contract at $66, you have nothing to lose by not giving it a shot (all it cost you is a little time and the lost interest on your refundable deposit). I say - go for it! If you get it - you'll have a fantastic bargain. If not, there are many many more SSR contracts to buy. Plus you are helping the seller (as they very well may be selling because they are having a tough time financially or have some other need to unload it).

It depends on the other specifics such as maint fee reimbursement and points availability as to whether it's good or great.

I waiting on a SSR resale now too.. $65 for 125 with Buyer paying closing but no '09, only 3 points for '10 and all '11. What points are available for your contract? Did you make and offer yet, and was it submitted to Disney? GOOD LUCK :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc

This post was from almost 3 months ago, hopefully they've closed by now. I don't think the OP has posted if they past ROFR but I suspect they did. Make sure you don't pay ANY maint fees on the 2010 year and depending on the UY, you may still overpay on fees when you pay 2011 since fees are charged on a calendar year basis and not UY. But if the contract is a good one for you otherwise, it shouldn't make a major difference long term. Good luck and let us know what happens.

Oh, thanks!:upsidedow And thanks for the good information. They are paying MFs for 2010!:goodvibes Ill let you know if It goes through.:)
